So, trying to generate captions for JLA#3, I get this:
Manager.Notify: Unable to invoked notify for generate captions --- '"speech"'

Hero1 says, "I don't think my surrender would save Metropolis...but can I take that risk? I've got less than five minutes, I hope that's enough time. I've got to find that bomb!"

Bomb Exploded Cutscene:

Hero1 says, "No! I failed, I was too slow...but I'm never too slow!"
Fade for 2 seconds

Hero1 says, "Well, that should teach them to stay out of Metropolis! Now on to S.T.A.R. Labs for some answers..."

I assume it has something to do with the objectives, because that is the only modification I made to the mission.

A divergent question, but one that hopefully will be met with more success.  Can you Un-Recruit a character through EZScript?  I'm campaign-ifying my JSA missions now, but I am wondering what will happen when I put them in the character pool, say, for future missions.  They shouldn't be available, but I don't know how to purge them.

I had the same problem trying generate captions with EZ Script Editor, but when I tried generate the captions with the in-game generator it worked fine. Maybe it is a EZ Editor bug.

Yep John Jr., the in-game generator works.  I think it may have something to do with objectives or recruitment encounters.

I had that error once before. I believe I had to start over fresh in notepad and type everything from scrtach.  I opened up all the files in a python editor and looked at the line numbers - they all looked fine. Some kind of weird file corruption I guess.
Haven't had the problem again until I tried to do one of your JLA base texts.
