Looks very nice.
Congratulations on a well deserved elevation to comic book artist in the big leagues.
I get secret six anyway, so its just a bonus that someone I "know" pencils it.
Go you!

Holy crap this is good. And with Nicola Scott on the book before you, you had big shoes to fill. I love the amount of detail in the backgrounds.
I also pick up this on a regular basis, so I'll be looking forward to picking this up on Wednesday to see more of your art.  The story has me intrigued too, very twisted, which I've come to expect from S6. Congratulations on making it onto a great book Ink.

Awesome!
Congratulations on breaking into the industry and living the dream, Ink.

Oh, and call me slow, but I thought "Hnn! A 17th C Highwaywoman Black Canary? Wierd!" when I first saw this page. Having seen the title on your deviantart site though, the penny has dropped. And I've almost soiled my trousers with excitement now Ive figured out who that is and what she's doing.

Very very cool - looking forwards to this issue doubly so now!

Congrats, Ink! (Will definitely see if I can pick this up next time I hit the comics shop)

Saw these earlier but wasn't able to post til now. Very impressed Ink. For a rookie outing this is really quite good from the preview pages. I especially liked the sequence with the crow, nicely done.

Big Six fan, so it's a nice bonus to get to see your work on a title I already enjoy. You snagged a great book and writer to start with. Hopefully you'll get some good reviews for the issue.

Wow, Gail Simone is imo one of if not the best writer in comic books today. But you're every bit as good an artist. I don't really read comics, but I'll totally start reading this.
I apologize in advance for everything I say on here. I regret it immediately after clicking post.

Glitch Girl

Count me as another purchase.  :)  I'll also see about talking it up a bit while I'm at the shop.

Ink, I'm really happy for you.  You're working on what I hear is a great book with an awesome writer.

So Ink, I picked up the book today (my shop got it late) and I just wanted to let you know what I thought of the art now that I've read it.

-You show a lot of potential right out of the gate, I think your art is better than a lot of beginners in the industry usually looks
-I think you're good at background detail
-storytelling skills are good - I never had a problem telling what was going on art-wise
-One thing I was really happy with was you nailed the main cast's likenesses--every character was instantly recognizable.

My one critique (don't take this the wrong way, I don't mean to insult you) was I thought Black Alice looked a little older than the script said she was (16 yrs old). Not a major problem but a area where there could be improvement.

I went to the comics shop today - wasn't able to get there sooner - and unfortunately they were sold out of the issue. However, I was able to special order a copy.

Alaric

Although I don't usually buy comics these days, I did pick up a copy- I've been a big enough fan of the work you've posted here that I figured I had to own a copy of your first professional work. Personally, I enjoyed the art. I loved your take on Black Alice- a character I had only previously encountered when browsing through one of those "big event" stories- to me, you are now the definitive Black Alice artist- and the faces of the various lead characters- especially Catman and Ragdoll. Story-telling was excellent- much easier to follow than some professional work out there.

The main problem I had with the art was that it seemed to lack some of the sense of movement your art usually has- that might have been due to the inking, I suppose. Also, while the close-up faces were excellent, some of the background faces (or maybe the heads) looked a little... deformed. Still, that's a fairly minor quibble- still a lot better than anything I'll ever be able to do. I envy all you talented artists... you and your talent...

Anyway, really good first professional work, and, if I know anything about you, your next will be even better. Your capacity to constantly improve is what sets you above all those other talented artists- I'm sure it will serve you well in your chosen career.

Actually his first work (that I know of) was DC's Halloween special this year. At least I think it was the Halloween special, it was some holiday special.

You are correct, sirrah. Ink drew the Superman portion of the Halloween special. That's his first official DC work... Secret Six is his first full job, I suppose.
