Marvel is doing an inaugural special and it turns out Obama is a spider-fan.

I just read about that...from what JQ was quoted as saying the plot would be...if I was Obama I would refuse to be in it. 


Then again..it would be cool to be in a Spidey comic even if the story were lame.

Please revise his powers from "no stun" to "extreme stun".

It's great to see that the media's constant adulation of a man who hasn't even had a chance to do anything extends into the comic book world. Will he have cosmic-level powers in this universe or will everyone just act like he does like in ours?

I just hope that Obama gets his own superhero movie instead of being relegated to being a Spider-Man supporting character. I "read" * both his books and with a couple of explosions and some super powers they would make great summer blockbusters.




* Actually I listened to the audiobook versions from Audible.com. I recomend it, actually, they are read by the prez himself and he won a grammy for each.

I would like to point out that Marvel always uses the current President in it's comic books.  Obama's special focus was unusual, but given the level of anticipation, one can hardly blame them for trying to make a few bucks on the subject, which they have succeeded in doing.

I would like to think that just as there are no Red states or Blue states, there are no Marvel states or DC states.  My brothers and sisters...from both universes, it is time to put away the petty partisanship of our fathers and come together as one great nation who are inspired by both the Man of Steel and the Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman.  I hope that my Marvel brothers enjoy the President's visit to their wonderful universe, and I can only hope that one day the DC Universe shall share in the same honor.

This president is actually capable of looking beyond the two party comics industry and seek help from The Savage Dragon. I heard something about youngblood too, but I didint care to look into that.

Actually from my understanding, Joe Q, create Barak Obama, when he was creating Azrael with Dennis O'Neil.  The DNC got the character description and loved it, believing that rest of America would drink the Kool-Aid too.  Well they got one right, Obama's popularity is unprecendenced among replacement characters in histories past.  Of course this has a lot to do with the fact Bush Jr. was incredibly unpopular character considering Bush Sr. and late ninteys creation the much chastised but beloved Clinton.  When asked to discuss why his character has become so popular Joe stated, " Screw you all I brought Bryan Micheal Bendis to this dying cesspool, and created the idea for Ultimate Marvel because Continuity sucks."  This reporter has no idea why his question was answered with such rambling incoherence, and virulence, but simply thinks Joe should lay off the peyote.
