Superleaper in FFX 3.x

When I use the Superleaper attribute, the character runs toward the target a bit, then disappears and reappears close to the target, like a Teleport. Sometimes the character appears near the target, but not right next to the target, then jumps the short distance left to the target. Is this how it's working for everyone else? Is this how it's suppose to work? I thought using the Leap To command would make the character jump, not move at blinding speed, to the target. I thought I saw it work this way before (maybe in FFX 2.x?). I also noticed that when jumping from rooftop to rooftop (if not jumping very long distances), it seems to work correctly.

I think the way to fix this had something to do with increasing the time allowed for the action in the exported ai file. Not 100% sure since It has been a while and I'm just getting back into the game but give it a stab.

I did increase the time= in the TSuperLeap tactic and that had no effect. This happens when the character is under the control of the AI or player controlled, so I don't believe it's an issue with the AI. I look forward to hear the results of your test stab. :) I just want to make sure that it's not a problem with my FFX before I spend time trying to fix/update it.

After determining it wasn't an issue with my FFX, I updated the attribute. After testing it out and finding that the jumping animation occurs only when jumping from a specific height, I spawned two podium_invisible objects (one at the characters position and one at the target position. The character then leaps the distance and just as he lands on the podium_invisible on the other side, it's destroyed and he lands on the ground. It works perfectly as a player, but the AI sometimes jumps of the podium_invisible at his position and runs the distance to the target. I'm looking into a way to correct this.

Well, it seems I was partially right when I said it wasn't a problem with my FFX. It seems the problem is with my new PC. I have an exact copy of my FFX folder on another, slower (WinXP, 1GB RAM 2.8Ghz P4) PC and the Superleaper works with the character leaping. On my other PC where it isn't working, is a Win7, 8GB RAM 2.8 Core i7. The only problem is I can't find a mo slo version that works with Win 7 :( My new method slows it down so it works like it does on the older PC, but it still isn't perfect when used by the AI.
