My buddy and I were wondering this the other day. The only thing that I can think of that Vader did that was Sith like was force choke. Seems to me that any Jedi would be able to do this. There was the telekinetic attacks but again any Jedi should be able to do the same. So what did Sidious teach Vader?

That would have fried his circuits that keep his suit working to keep him alive. His lungs were seared on Mustafar after his fight with Obi-wan. The suit/cybernetics keep his body alive by allowing him to breath. Sith lightning would never be an ability he could use.

Sidious didn't need teach him anything. Anakin was practically a jedi master at the time of his switch to the dark side. If anything he would have just honed his skills and continued to poison his mind.

Darth Sidious didn't teach Vader anything, just corrupt his mind and made him his enforcer.  Sidious knew that Vader could kill him easily so he got to him first.

He tried to teach him job satisfaction.  I mean, Anakin had any number of grievances with his employers, and who was happier than the Emperor?  That was a man who loved what he did.

A lot of Vaders force moveset were hindered by his burnings. Like he was never able to shapeshift like Sidious/Jar Jar did.
I apologize in advance for everything I say on here. I regret it immediately after clicking post.

Maybe Sidious taught Vader how to look good in a cape.  Which raises an interesting point....in the movies the Dark Side guys wear capes but in the games everyone is wearing robes...Why aren't there any special capes in the Star Wars games?

If you want to know what Darth Sidious taught Darth Vader, you have to know the nature of the Dark Side of the Force.  The Dark Side of the Force act much like the "Light Side" of the Force, but they are supplemented by two completely different energies.  The Force was to be used devoid of strong, passionate emotions, which allows one to actually have control over it's usage.  When Yoda tell Luke to clear his mind and all that.  He's telling him to do that so he can more freely use the Force.  You saw what happen when his mind started to get cloudy and the vision he was having via the Force was interrupted by his feelings towards his friends and his concentration broke and Yoda, Artoo and his stack of rocks fell.  A Jedi has their connection to the Force because their emotions do not get in the way.

The Dark Side on the other hand gains it's energy from the opposite way.  The Dark Side is energized by passion and emotion, which is exactly what is supposed to hinder a Jedi's usage of the Force.  This is not to say a Force user does not know how or cannot properly use the Force when it's energized by strong passions.  They can, but to sustain the strength of it's usage, to sustain the ability to use the Force in various applications can be done by mastering control of the strong feelings.  This is what Palpatine was teaching Anakin; to master control over those feelings to sustain his connect to the strength of the Dark Side of the Force.

For example, if you've ever read Steve Perry's Shadow's of the Empire, there are scenes in the book that describes Darth Vader's struggle with healing his lungs and breath on his own.  To do so, he had to concentrate on how much he hated Obi-Wan for making him that way.  He'd take those strong negative feelings and would begin to heal himself to allow him to breath without his respirator.  Unfortuantely such an achievement made him happy and gave him a sense of relief, which would be a direct counter to the strong feelings that allowed him to achieve the feat in the first place and he couldn't sustain it and couldn't breath anymore and thusly retreated back to his respirator.  He had to have control of the Dark Side, those negative feelings to be able to access the energy to use the Force.

Moreover, the Dark Side was also a philosophic and religious teaching of the Sith and if you are to use the literal sense of teach, Palpatine was the Jesus to Vader's Paul, or Socrates to Vader's Plato, or Sigmund Freud to Vader's Carl Jung, or Elijah Muhammad to Vader's Malcolm X, or Karl Rove to Vader's George W. Bush... so to speak.

Or I could just be making all of this up since it's all fiction anyway.

You know, I think I figured out what Sidious taught Vader. His own ominous music.
