Borderlands out Oct. 20; anyone up for 360 co-op?

Hey gang,

Borderlands is out on Tues. Oct. 20.  Wal-Mart Canada has the crazy $39 release price again (woohoo!) and my brother and I both plan on picking it up for the 360.  Amongst the game's many features there's 4 player co-op.  Anyone else planning on getting this and are you up for some co-op?

Ok, I was loving this game until I got a dune buggy, jumped a ramp, and my sniper rifle went from doing 175+ damage per shot to 9 damage a shot resulting in me getting my rear handed to me repeatedly.

Suggestions, please?

I don't understand the +% damage. Is that included in the 748? Or would it be like 1541ish damage?

yus I am playing Mordecai, and it's 748+106% so yah 1541, and then if I crit it's critical damage of 1541 + 150%
a normal scag takes around 2000 per shot, and about 5000 per crit.

I'd sell it and buy another sniper or wait for another weapon.  In a typical two-person co-op session (of 1 or 2 hours playtime) we usually come across a few sniper rifles in the loot.

Same here, but apparently there's only two formerly usable combat rifles on the planet :(

I don't do co-op.  Nothing personal, and if I had ANY interest in playing with other people, the nice people here would be my first choice.  But I don't, and it kinda irritates me that it's becoming such a big deal in games, but that's another rant.

I was playing the single player intro (as Lilith) with a kick butt sniper rifle that was dispensing 175+ damage a shot- I was killing the bandits that had that module for the vehicles in 2-3 shots.  I got a vehicle, jumped Urine gorge, and went to take out the bandits that were keeping the gate closed only to find my sniper rifle now doing 9 damage a shot.  And as a consequence of getting my rear handed to me a few time,s I don't have the money for another weapon.

I've come across some decent snipers, so I'll save one for you.  We can hook up in co-op (gamertag: EDTortuga) and I'll drop it for you.

I don't think I've really played it solo yet ... I usually start a game but leave it open for anyone to join. I get lonely in huge sandbox first person games ie Far Cry 2.

Ahh, that's who that invite is from.  I'm at lvl 33 with my main character, but I think I'll start a Siren soon to play through some of the lower level stuff again.
