After several years of being away and I had taken everything off my computer I finally decided to come back. Can somebody tell me a link where I can can find maps for FFvTR also links to FX, thanks in advance

It starts with a list of active sites, and some warnings about a couple of peculiarities displayed by some of them. On page two there is a lost of the sites available only through The Wayback Machine. These sites are closed, but some of them have working links to skins and meshes and such. Below that is a list of the Yahoo Groups with Freedom Force content. In among those are some of everything... and I mean EVERYTHING.

Hey is there a way to edit the base characters? To give an extra ability and so forth without having to make a copy of him/her?

Technical questions should be handled in the proper forum. However, I'm not sure what you mean.
The base characters that come with the game like Minuteman can i add an ability to him that can be used in the story game?
I have to say that I really don't know. I don't know where the .hero files for the built-ins go. As you go through the game you can add stuff, but I don't know how the game does that. This is one of those that you need to post in the Technical Questions forum.

Isais, you need the mod tools in order to edit the base characters.
You'll find a link for that and explanations of a lot of other things at Alex's Freedom Fortress. This is a great resource to help you get back in the swing of things:

It has some straight forward guides to the basic levels of customization. I recommend you get FFX, as it improves the game dramatically, and it also comes with some really helpful manuals.
