I had never heard of this before; it was started during one of the times when I had limited access to the internet, and I missed it. However, it is now being reprinted at Go Comics (http://www.gocomics.com/), and is in color. The original version of the series is also still out there (http://lastmechanicalmonster.blogspot.com/2013/11/page-1.html).
In case you don't know, it follows the adventures of the mad scientist who invented the Mechanical Monsters from the Fleischer cartoon of the same name, after he is released from prison having served a 64 year sentence.
