Title: What's on your "To Do" List?
Post by: Cyber Burn on March 22, 2014, 04:13:36 PM
Seeing that so many of us are going through a bit of a "Burn Out" phase, and operating under the assumption that FF is used more as an escape from RL issues than anything else, I'm just curious if anyone else has a "To Do" List of sorts, and if so, what is on it? The main purpose of me posting this is just to get my blood pumping, so to speak, to get myself motivated. But if this gets other people motivated as well, then that's just an added bonus.

The majority of the Characters on my list will probably just be Skopes and with Kittbashed Skins for my personal use unless I decide to release them. If I do release them, then I'll either release them with a WireMap, or I will try to find a Skinner to collaborate with. As I stated before, these aren't really in any particular order because I tend to jump around on my list, and I also tend to work on multiple projects at the same time.

01. Shocker - Update Skope (Still working on updating Animations)

02. Baron Strucker With Satan's Claw (Possibly with FX Emitter on Glove)

03. Atlantean Krang (Current WIP will be Mapped differently, and may need updated Skin)

04. Atlantean Dorma

05. Atlantean Soldier MKV - Daglob

06. Trickshot - Hawkeye Villain

07. Silver Samurai With Sword FX (1. I want a Particle Emitter during Sword Animations, and 2. This will be a learning experience for me, to see if I can attach an Emitter to a Weapon.)

08. Iron Monger - Iron Man Villain (Has been on my "To Do" List forever, so I finally want to get started on it.)

09. Firepower - Iron Man Villain (Not real happy with how this is turning out, there are too many variations in the reference pics that I've found.)

10. Cannonfodder - Because there is never enough Cannonfodder  :P

11. Taskmaster (Ninja Looking Version with Energy based Weapons.)

12. Ringer (Still working on the Animations.)

13. Nova Corps - Versions for different Ranks (Need reference pics.)

14. Machete - Batroc's Brigade (DJ did an awesome Skope/Skin for this guy, but since I had already started this, I kind of want to finish him.)

15. Gorilla with Anvil - Daglob

16. Armored Supergirl - Daglob

17. Blue Devil (Very frustrated, , I think I overwrote my Skope with a previous version and have to start over. )

18. KGBeast (I've got nothing.)

19. Doctor Midnight (McNider) ( I actually keep forgetting that I have this guy, he's somewhat close to being finished, so I may just need a Skinner when I'm done.)

20. Doctor Midnight (Cross)

21. Triumph - DC Comics (Broke my Skope, and have to start over.   :banghead:)

22. Cobalt Blue (On hold until I see if I can successfully place Particle Emitters on the Silver Samurai's Sword.)

23. Doctor Light - Villain (Wasn't happy with my previous Skope/Skin, so I really want to re-do the Character.)

24. MLJ/Red Circle/Impact Comics Characters - Comet, Shield, Black Hood, Etc. (Need to re-start my "Shield", because I'm not happy with it, and I have a "Comet" in the works.)

25. CSA/Earth 3 - Original Characters

26. Marvel Legacy - Update (While my Skinning Skills have gone downhill, I think I have learned a few new things with NifSkope that I'd like to try with these guys. I also have a few Characters that I never got around to Skoping/Skinning that I'd kind of like to do.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This isn't my entire List, as it doesn't cover FX, Requests, Avatars, or about a dozen other Miscellaneous categories, I'm just hoping to at least get a few of these finished sometime in my life time.  :P

Hey, Cyber.  I have no idea how far you've made it on the skope itself, but  I made an Amazo skope with animations for Lanterns, Speedsters, and Superman-esque characters (all gren's animations combined into one set).  If you'd like, I could send it to you.

There's always tons of characters I want to skin. For now I'm obviously concentrating on:

1) The modern X-Men students. With the help of Windblown. (Next one is Hellion).

Beyond that the other areas that keep playing at the back of my mind are:

2) A Goblin collection. (Technically started with my still unreleased Hobgoblin update).

3) Some Ultimates/SHIELD/Avengers stuff. There's a bunch of characters under this heading that I've really wanted to do.

4) Some more Batman stuff. Mostly Bluebird and Spoiler.

There's some other stuff too.

Heh. Much.

Things I already have going on my hard drive:
-----
- Green Lantern Corps
I'm trying to accomplish an in game model of every GL every made. I've knocked out a sizable chunk of whats out there already.

- Black and White Lantern Corps
I got requested on these awhile ago and have been holding them mainly because most to all are variant skins for other releases. Much of the blacks are GLC variants of course, to be released in Wave 3: The Crypt Of Oa, and are coming along just fine. On both counts the rest are of course variants of DC characters outside the Lantern family of books so it shouldn't be a big challenge. Wonder Woman is taking a toll since I'm custom sculpting her costumes and giving her New 52, Star Sapphire and Black variants.

- Odds and ends Corps
A few I left behind. Relic, Prixiam, that " giraffe " Blue Lantern and the New Guardians Of The Universe.

- New 52
DC dropped a well of designs we don't have in game when they made this move so I'm doing lot's here.  I'm also working on Cyborg, Grid, Johnny Quick, Deathstorm (for the Black Lantern as well of course), Deathstroke (with a Flashpoint variant), Starfire, The Outsider, Catwoman (with Gothtopia variant). I'm toying with the idea of doing Steve Trevor and maybe some of The Outsiders in the long run as well but haven't started anything.

- *****
Some unnamed project. I pretty much finished very character from a certain indy book and just have to put them together, check for glitches and upload them.

- other Marvel stuff

Sugar Man for a request. I'm working on the Bride Of Nine Spiders (to complete Gren's set), Sinister (both Claude and his AvX style looks), Loki (film version), Onslaught (Phase 2), Ben Grimm (a few variations here), Dr.Doom, The Goddess, Lilandra (War Of Kings styled), Darkhawk (modern), various Marvel Zombies, Lyra, Pepper Potts (from the Order and as Rescue), Supernaught, Red She-Hulk, Devil Hulk, Squirrel Girl, Iron Patriot (Norman), some of the Fear Itself baddies, Black Widow (Age Of Ultron version), Ultron (Age Of Ultron) and a few X-Men characters. I'm trying my hand at a Danger mesh, we'll see if it works or not.

- other stuff
Velocity and other Hunter-Hiller/Cyberforce characters, Witchblade, Aphrodite XI, Ash (with AOD and Marvel Zombie variants), Ghostface, Robert The Tire, Repo Man, Dark Helmet, The Inhumanoids, and The Madballs (if you've never read that disaster of a comic do so, it's terribly great!).

Absolutely, I would love to check it out. I have a couple versions in process, and Daglob had at least one he was working on. It would be very cool to take the different versions and combine them into one Mega-Version.

@Alice: Wow... what you have in store for us is just... wow.  I eagerly await your upcoming releases.  The amount of work that you are putting for is just outstanding.  The sheer quantity AND quality is breath-taking.  You rock, Alice.

@Cyber: Amazo has been sent to your e-mail.  If the Justice League are bothering you, then he shall deal with them.

Wow, those are some awesome and extensive lists guys!  I'm looking forward to seeing all of this stuff.

SA, I think Deathstorm is one of the few good things to come out the New 52 (though I know he originated in Blackest Night).  He's a nice addition to the CSA and a cool design.  It'll be cool to have him in FF.

CB, I love all the stuff you and RD are making available.  That is too awesome.  Has the Iron Monger ever been done before?  Neat!

I suppose I can post my own to-do list, though it's a little different than these busy guys' versions.  My projects take just a little while to do. ;)  So, keep in mind that this is a very slow moving list.  It's also rather prone to change, as I pick up a project and work until I get distracted or bored, and various things are constantly pulling me in different directions.  I'll listen to a DC podcast or read a DC comic, and the JLA calls my name.  I watch a Marvel movie, and Captain America begs me to tell a story about him.  On and on, so I'm afraid you can't hold me to the order here.  :D

And I've got a few other things bouncing around.  If enough Thundercats materials ever get made, I'll do a mod for them.  If Val's Transformers meshes ever get skoped to provide more KF possibilities, I might do a TF mod, though I feel less anxious for that after the excellent Fall of Cybertron type games.

@Benton: Iron Monger has been done, but only as a skin.  I don't know of any meshes.

Also, I'm very excited to hear more about your Pulp Adventures.  Your mods have always been amazing and I'm really glad to see that you are developing your old projects even more.

Iron Man #200 was actually the first "Iron Man" comic book that I ever bought, and ever since I joined FR, I've wanted to create a Skope for him, but I've never really had enough faith in my Skoping abilities to try it. But seeing as how he's been on my "To Do" List since day one, I just hope that when I do start Skoping him, that I can do it justice.

I'll give this a go. Mine's all comics related these days.

A: Weekly tasks
1) Produce 1 page of Universe Gun every week.
2) Write a blog entry every week.
3) Weekly draw off at OzComics on Facebook.

B: Other comic strips (intended for anthologies) and drawing tasks
1) Cover for Universe Gun #3
2) Finish the remaining 3/5 pages of "Cold Atlas"
3) Write and then draw "Heliana" - 6 pages?
4) Write and then draw "Junkzilla!" - 6 pages?
5) Write and then draw "Utopia 337i" - 3 pages?
6) Finish a friend's tattoo design

C: Business side of comics (my least favourite bits)
1) Draw some adverts for Universe Gun for Project Wonderful (an advertising system)
2) Set up Project Wonderful account and figure out how it works
3) Figure out what to do with my Twitter account - add Twitter link to website pages, link Twitter and Facebook etc.
4) Hook up my blog to blogspot or something so people can leave comments
5) Keep looking into hashtags and other stuff to make my work easier to find
6) Submit "Pazuzu!" to some other anthologies
7) Check out other anthologies that may be looking for submissions and prioritize strips in List B.
8) Update deviantArt with Chapter 3 of Universe Gun and latest sketches

Oh, man, this list - scratch that, this entire topic - is actually pretty motivating!

I see a lot of skins I want to see done, and the anticipation of all these popping up at Releases makes me feel this sudden impulse to fire up Nifskope and contribute.

Thanks for starting this, Cyber, I needed the recharge!

Some great lists guys.

Dr. Mike, I can't imagine the amount of work that goes into what you're doing, I hope it pays off for you.

Bloodshadow, I've been enjoying your Skins thread, some very nice work being shown there.

TUE, you just said the magic words (Hawk and Dove), I'm going to be very eagerly awaiting those.

Vorelliwiseau, your inventive creations have been inspiring to me, so if this thread was able to inspire you to continue, then I am very glad, because in all honesty, I was really hesitating starting the thread.

These are things I'd like to work on. The list goes from most likely (working on/done) to lowest priority.

Suicide Squad - Ostrander's team from the 80's
Serpent Society - The rest of 'em
The Defenders - Secondary members
DC Heroes - Batgirl (Gordon), Batwoman, Fire/Ice
Birds of Prey - Gail Simone's run was spectacular
DC Female Supervillains Set - to balance off the Mavel set I did: Silver Banshee, Circe, Cheshire, Star Sapphire and Killer Frost
New Warriors - from the original run.. not necessarily the original 6 members
FemForce - Yup!
Global Guardians - I always liked this team.
Female Furies - This would be so fun to do, in time. They'd have to be all totally skoped up.
The Hellions - original New Mutants foes

Scratched another off the list.

Thanks anyone, and well there's much listed here by all of you so let's say I'm all on the edge of my seat. It's going to be a fun year.

@BentonGrey: The design for Deathstorm is great. I started work on the Black Lantern one when it first came around but shelved it for awhile. I'm certain the brass at DC agrees. They took one look at that BL design and said " Yup, we have to find a way to keep this one. ".

There are just too many obscure heroes and villains from the Gold and Silver age to count.

But, I'm hoping to do a version of The Hangman (who isn't really obscure), as well as The Press Guardian, Pow Girl, and a pulpy Black Hood. Then there are all those changes Jimmy Olsen went through in the '60s. I need to finish The Blue Lady, The Veiled Avenger, The Eye, an assortment of Owl Men and The Owls, Lady Luck, Ardina, another Mexican version of The Fly, Jon Sable, and Supergirl in battle armor.

Ohh man, look at all this awesome stuff that the community wants to create! :D

Spyder, Pulp Adventures started out as a simple mini-mod with classic pulp characters, but it very quickly grew into a sprawling story, as my ideas are wont to do.  I'm up to mission 11, and it's likely to go to 17 or so.  Look for a bunch of classic pulp characters and a few moderns with the right flavor, plus some really awesome custom art!

Bloodshadow, tons of Lanterns?  Cool!  Bring 'em on!

Dr.Mike, this comic venture of yours seems really promising.  I'll join the others in wishing you luck, and I'm excited to be following your work!

TUE, I love your work man.  I can't wait to see all of those guys.  Which version of Hawkgirl are you doing?

Yep CB, I've been itching to get back to the DCUG for a long time.  If I have the energy, I'm going to rework a lot of my builds to improve the top tier characters at least.

LP, I am really excited about your Suicide Squad skins!

DG, you are a skinning machine!

I'm back on making voice packs again using the audio files from Destroy All Humans 1 & 2. I had made progress on this before but I lost everything during a hard drive crash and had to start from scratch. :(

However, being able to supply voice packs of Ninjas, Cyborgs, Beat Cops, Grunt Soldiers, and Russian Mobsters makes it all worth while to do.

My entire recent updates are all about one thing:
Completing the JLA Mod.

I came across the (finished) script for issue #7 and just wanted to finish it.
I had gathered a lot of things (meshes, skins, etc) before I stopped working on it years ago, so revisiting it all now.

All my updates to EZ Hero, EZFX, updated hero recipes, etc. that I'm doing right now - are all in preparation for that.

Crossover Mod
I had started this a few years ago and become stymied by a few problems, some game related and some not.  With the Comicbook mod pretty much done I am working back into this one and reassessing the missions.

This mod takes the approach of the original Marvel/DC crossovers where they all exist in the same universe.   Of course I can't leave anything alone, so expect taht there will be significant departures from the comics.

Woot! Cannot wait to see this stuff! Game scripting is my second most lacking area, before FX and behind level building right now so I eat up anything you peeps release. Happy to see abenavides back in action. Thanks for the new EZHero BTW, using and loving it.

I killed much of my Marvel list now. Goblin Nation will be finished in two days time and I'm real happy with the results. I did a bunch of Marvel/X-Men characters I didn't list above as well for reason of experimentation in learning technique. As well much work is finished on the workbench page though I'm deciding whether to scrap the tutorial pages in favor of interactive videos? I'm in the beautiful mountains again which means more productivity, but a bigger lag in releases. Basically I have to coax the family to go out to the casino for a day to get access to wifi to upload all this stuff. I hope any of you will be happy with what's in my next release. It's pretty big and I put a lot of detail into both the meshes and skins as well as animations now and went through looking at old popular characters that were requested ages ago but still don't have meshes proper.

@Pod:
We have similar interests which is part of why you've been one of the biggest inspirations to me here. Though lately I veered away from things I wanted to do and tried to focus on things that weren't done (still doing that a bit, you'll see when the release hits). I knew you'd like those and was thinking about that while making them (all Goblins accounted for, finishing Normans human head today and that's that). If you end up making skins and hero files I'd love to know, especially the latter since I suck at those and always tend to use the ones you or AA release.

I've been feeling a little burnt out lately, just with life in general, so I'll be taking a brief break from my current list to work on some FX. Basically I just want to focus on something different for a little while to try and avoid complete burnout.

I finally have the 3rd wave of Green Lanterns underway now that I feel secure in having learned enough new things to make them look right (mainly keyframe animations). John and Simon will be up in this batch as well as a mix of new recruits and old mainstays. At my rate right now I should be looking at a release next week of at least thirty characters, though John's alts and the glow wrap on Simon's costume may hold me up a few more days.

Awesome news SA, were you able to get John to have both, the GL Keys, and the Gun Keys?

As for my "To Do" list, I have deviated so far from it that I don't even know what's what.  :banghead:
Title: Re: What's on your "To Do" List?

Yep. John has a construct rifle on top of the usual, Simon has a gun and Jruk an axe. I did the ones with special parts first though now I realized Morrow will need them as well. Finished Venizz, Jruk, Soranik, Ash-Pak-Glif, Feska, Hammeroon, Turyrtt and Von Daggle today so I'm off to a good head start.

Sucks. Try taking inventory. I get off track and can't figure it out every two months or so and I take a night and go through every file organizing them and deleting anything that's an afterthought. I also started keeping text check lists of everything in my work directory. Whenever a notion comes or request I add them to the bottom and reposition everything according to how I think they need to be released. I used to in the boat without a paddle when it came to FFVTTR and pretty much everything else until I stopped relying on my mind and started writing everything down (notebooks and schedules in real life, it's silly but it works).

* Amended: I'm still keeping a good pace (just finished Simon, his aura was a nightmare to mesh) but realizing a few of the Lanterns chosen for this release need either full body meshing and/or have multiple skins so I may need at least two weeks before a finished release, that or to cut down the amount I release this time to about twenty.

Dragon Man
The Shaper of Worlds

I have another couple that I'm working on with two fantastic skinners.

I'm pretty much the same way, I keep lists and notes on pretty much everything, but with FF Stuff, even with the lists, I tend to get sidetracked pretty bad.

The Shaper of Worlds,  :D , very nice!

I modified my original list given I finished and released (N52 Deathstroke is actually done as well I've just yet to upload him) much of the list. Happy with the progress I've been able to make and all the help anyone has given in achieving some of these.

I see that you're making an "Iron Patriot" mesh/skope.

I REALLY can't wait to see that one!

I can't to actually finish it, lmao! Actually I already made the Norman hair for the unmasked version and completed most of everything for that one and Rescue. The hold-up is an issue I can't get past yet where the faceplate floats into the head itself.

I'm at that stage where I'm increasing the load, aka winter and I'm inside a lot doing nothing else but dusting and becoming melancholy and feeling after making some announcements I've probably left some peeps dangling as to what the hold up on some things are. Here is a list of the things I'm currently working on:

Other Lantern related things:
- The Templar Guardians. Real close to finishing these. The big hold here is I can't find out what their names are if they even all have any?
-----------------------
Spider-man related:
- Omni-Powered Spidey (Captain Universe/Spider-Phoenix): Everything's done but the keyframes. Skoping INK's Phoenix into it alone is around twenty or better NiKeyframeControllers per animation and I have to manually compensate every step time one by one.
- Female Spidey: Like the Spidey pack contains as many female Spiders as I can think to put in it. I'm going to need to make two, an adult and a teen to pull it off. The keys of course, the new Steampunk one adding the time consuming spiderlegs I really wanted to avoid.
- Ultimate Spidey: Spidey with different portions for Ultimates, Miles, Manga and a few others. This ones coming along at a good pace, most of the geometry are things I can recylce from the already finished Spider-man
- Spider-man " Iron ": For the Mark III Spider-Armor and any of the new cyborg ones that popped up in Spider-verse. The first is done, the latter require I make new bodies from scratch.
- Bonesaw McGraw: Not even joking. Close to finished.
-----------------------
X-Men related:
- Ahab. I wanted to do this guy as far back as I can remember. I'm building a new body from scratch for him of course.
- The Phoenix 5: Namor, Cyclops, Emma, Colossus and Magik. The geometry is well one the way. The animations again require I inject INK's Phoenix so...yeah lots of dull clicking to go there.
- Basilisk: Scott Summers from Age Of X. To date I'm failing to understand how to make the mask open and shut so there it sits.
- AVX Sinister: Geometry is nearly done for him.
- Miss Sinister. Needs me to make some more fitted clothes and she's ready to go.
- Necrosha Selene: I'm modelling as much of the costume detail as possible as opposed to skinning it so this ones been in the works awhile but I think that will pay off. Highly likely I'll at least give her one more costume variant representing a more classic look.
- Blaquesmith: I could just as well spit this out in no time. I sort of took interest in other things and let it sit there unfinished though.
- X-23: Planning a costume pack reprisal here. I'm working it off Gren's Checkmate Knight Female this time. I have to adjust the keys for the foot claws of course. Mostly because I wanted to try my hand at her Target X duds.
- Dark Beast: I've been slowly redoing this one for years but I'm always paying it some attention.
- Wolverines: Various that I determined need to be on individual meshes. Right now I dropped many ideas I was going with and am just focusing on an Adamantium Skeleton one and one of him as the Horseman Of Death. The latter needs a lot of detail and then keys for the sword. I have a Hellverine and Berserker started as well, no clue when I'll get going on them though.
- Onslaught Phase 2: This one shouldn't be that hard but I keep botching the models for some reason or another. I paused on it out of frustration.
- Sugar Man: I'm working this one on a Toad mesh to make use of the tongue but it's very tricky to figure out for the obvious reasons of his odd body shape, four arms and use of melee weapons.
-----------------------
Other Marvel stuff:
- Ghost Rider NOw (Robbie): This is a delicate operation. The geometry is very specific especially for his skull and car. The animations are presenting another issue particularly what to try and represent, what not to and how.
- Misty Knight: I could probably get this one going a litter faster. I've pretty much been avoiding modelling a mesh with the Satan's Claw on it.
- Iron Patriot (Norman): Slow process to make the armor bits right. Having big problems with the helmet not staying in the right place.
- Pepper Potts/Rescue: Same as above for the above. Sucks because if I could resolve that I'd stop everything just to focus on finishing this.
- The Goddess: Slowpoking this to finish some other things as it needs my full attention to do, have a bit of the armor done otherwise. Thinking of trying to add her defense from the comic to it but I don't believe I know how right now.
- Tony Stark head: I started making a Tony Stark head with a HUD like in the films and which has been integrated into the comics but haven't been able to figure out how to make heads yet.
- Lyra: Only paused so I can work focus on the bigger lines of characters otherwise I shouldn't have much to complete.
- Earth X X-51: I work on this one very carefully and only when I'm at my most focused.
- Kick-@$$: A conversion of the game model for the most part. He's done except for some of the keyframe animations. As well I was trying to add in the jetpack using Gren's War Machine and the rocket FX from his Nick Fury but that turned into an absolute mess. Should be able to release it anytime soon if I give up on the jetpack.
- Doom 2099: I have to complete the mask and skirt piece. I had a finished mask but it ended up being too high poly so I'm starting over.
- Uriel: Slow and I messed up attempts at the cape a few times. Another I'd really like to work though the problems soon enough to dedicate some patient work to again.
- Saturnyne: Just taking my time until I feel it looks nice enough. Dresses can turn into garbage if you rush them.
- Zombie Ant-man and Zombie Iron-Man: Held only in favor of putting more work into other things but still moving along.
-----------------------
DC stuff: Most of anything I was working for DC wa shuffled into GLCW4 and therefore gained priority. Still a few sitting in unfinished in my char directory however:
- The Absence: Obscure Batman character with a large hole in her head that most readers despise. The hole and pretty goth attire pleased me so I started on her.
- New 52 Cyborg: Tiring work for the armor, then DC swithced up the astethics again as FE. I love the design but it's frustrating to try and make, not as bad as:
- Grid: I tried to model this, scrapped and started over a few times now.
- New 52 Poison Ivy: I'm modelling the plant life onto her costume which is pretty time consuming. I'm also giving her variations based on her seasonal looks from the Batgirl Annual.
- Condor (BOP): One of the N52 Birds Of Prey characters I failed to release. I mostly lost interest despite it being a pretty easy one to do. Actually I was kind of bored with the character. But it's halfway there so I should pick it off sometime anyways.
- New 52 Black Canary: This wouldn't take anything to finish since it's just little additions to Gren's BC. I felt like this one wasn't needed in the community or at least not as much as other characters that have no representation at all so I paused it.
-----------------------
Retrogaming: Made some recently after seeing requests. I put priority on these since I can recycle geometry freeing me up for other things and I wasn't really aware we didn't already have them.
- Knuckles: Nearly done. I set up Sonic so I could recycle it and use it as an easy base for the rest of the characters.
- Shadow: see Knuckles.
- Super Sonic: see Knuckles.
- Metal Sonic: See Knuckles.
- Tails: I'm looking at it with a question mark above my head right now because of the fly/hover animation. In most cases you can use whatever " sort of " looks good for characters when it comes to that but in this case that's a specific trait of the character, in fact the first he had. I have some ideas how to go about it but nothing concrete.
- Mario Bros: Coming along nicely. I'm choosing to be really picky about animations. I want them to really represent the characters well.
- Peach: Taking some time to pay attention to the little details. I want this one to be really special as opposed to " has pink dress and blonde hair, must be Peach ".
- Toad: No sweat. Just holding it to release with the others.
- Bowzer/King Koopa: The mesh was done easily again pretty much because it was already made for me. But I am having one issue after the next with getting it to work. The lower jaw flies into the torso and out the back when it opens. The shell is over the place (darn shells, if I had a dollar!). Grrr.
- Samus: This is stupid but I really never push it along because I have so much admiration for Samus that I end up daydreaming then I go listen to a soundtrack for one of the games, no joke.
- Dr.Wily: I'm doing the same schtick as Robotnik here with a basic mesh and three vehicles. However in Eggman's case everything was made for me, in Wily's I'm making it all from scratch.
- Battletoads: After messing around with some games charactes and some Turtles this seemed like a go to. I really like their weird shapeshifting moves and think they'll be cool in game. I'm making these from scratch of course as there's no source material to draw from.
- Vic Viper: I've been working on this for years now actually. I'm really picky about it and want to pull off a carbon copy of the ship.
-----------------------
Ninja Turtles & Co.: Really turned on to this right now because of Benton's mod. Maybe I'll try and play his mod less and work on these more, lol.
- Karai: First and foremost, every version on separate adult and teen meshes. New keyframes (working on them right now in another window with the other hand).
- Shreddder: At least the 2003 added on to Gren's Shredder mesh. I'm undecided past that but I'd like try and get the older live action one and the classic Mirage one in there as well by the end.
- Usagi: My old one was old, revisiting it and putting it on something else.
- at least twenty other characters I'm not at liberty to discuss right now
-----------------------
Other:
- The Monarch, Dr.Girlfriend, 21 and 24 from Venture Bros: Taking my time to be delicate here, lots to do from scratch and body matching as well. I have a ways to go, I doubt you'll see them this year even.
- Some characters from a mature rated series and do to my content rule you'll never see them. But I'm pouring sweat and tears into them and their part of the reason holding up anything else.
- The Repo Man. I keep putzing around on this for reasons I'm not sure of. I only have a few bits to finish that shouldn't be that hard to do. I end up listening to the soundtrack on this one when I try and work on it and get distracted as well.
- Robot Chicken: Character of the same name from the show of course
- Madballs: Started some work on some of their faces. I'm still completely sure where they need to end up. As FX, interactive objects or characters? If the last then should I include the bodies and have the heads be detachable? I'm basing them on the comics (Star). If you haven't read that wonderful punfest go out and find yourself some.
- Great And Powerful Oz prop: The mesh work is a hair from completion. Figuring out how to get all the timed smoke and fire working is the hold up.
- Hannibal prop: One of Hannibal from Silence Of The Lambs when he's restrained. I only just recently added this to the lot.
- SickAlice avatar: This is always evolving WIP but I got some ideas this week and ended up dedicated some time to it.
- Stage work/education: Learning the ropes on stage creation and how to make objects/bounding boxes for them by building a home for my avatar. I also completed a large portion of an old stage idea but I'm not sure yet how to implement it. It's a large piece and will probably require I learn how to terrain to finish but I touched it up little anyways.
- Stage objects: These happen spontaneously now so I can't really call it, I just know I'll end up making some more soon.

That's about it. So sorry anyone if I seem like I'm dragging my feet on some requests but this is why. Note this is just during the hobby time I dedicate to this game as well. Then there's priorities, paying the bills and my other pleasures. But I am getting them done if that's assuring. My pace is normally that I multitask bits from various things at the same time, usually what I can open together in the same program. Keyframes of course really draw that out because I have to focus on them individual and hence why the ones I do are usually pretty weak. That and I waste a bit of time typing long lists and text walls of course.

Wow. Simply, "Wow."

All of these sound really exciting, but I am absolutely delighted to hear that the Venture Bros are getting some love! I love that show, and I really can wait to see what you come up with the cast.

I'm still very excited for the Black Lanterns. Knowing how much love you put into your work, I just can't wait to see the finished results!

Another shout-out to Samus, Bowser, and the Battletoads!

It's also good to know that I'm not the only one with Turtles on the brain.  :D

We should all take a crack at various Turtles characters community wide. I think that would be neat. Kind of like the Holiday contests you know? Then there'd be a nice surplus as well for if anyone gives a mod a go.

I have an archive of reference material just for it but just never got to it. Played Benton's mod, sat and listened to the score to the Konami arcade game, got Turtle fever and got crackin'. It's fun too just like working with the old school video game characters are. They're such vibrant and lively characters and kind of smile back at you when your working on them.

The Venture characters are another batch that I've been sitting on for awhile but didn't feel secure enough in what I could do yet to try them. I came this " " close to putting Brown Widow as a variant in the Spider-man packs but I thought that was maybe a little too nasty and Peter deserves a little more respect, lol. >.<

Nah, lol. Just because I'm working something doesn't mean there aren't plenty of things that can be done. Like aside from volumes of likenesses I'm awful at animations to date and pretty much nonexistent when it comes to levels, mods and FX. I really don't think I do anymore than anyone else either, it's just that the way I pace myself is specific. I work on several things on once because it works better for me that way though that only means I'm working on portions of whole individual projects rather wholes. Others focus on one whole at a time. I also cut a big corner by working on as many characters at a time that have the same costume parts/body types/animations/themes so it isn't all that much of an achievement. So for example I find it's easier to make one Black Lantern ring and apply it to as many meshes need it at the same time rather than make them over one at a time.

But Del Boca Vista then? Sounds great. Just in time for Festivus!

* amended my list and added Robot Chicken and Madballs. This morning I also finished Golden Glider, completed the basic parts for both Karai versions, got the base for the Technodrome set up and am right now finishing Ice. I'm glad I shoveled the driveway late last night. Considering the weather here I think I'd take Del Boca Vista. My aunt keeps sending me photos from Hawaii. It's only adding to my already increasing sense of melancholy. Hopefully this Mohave thing I have brewing will fall through sooner than later.

Well however you do it..... It works great.

I have one tiny question about your GLs though. How come you haven't listed, the "Greatest GL of All", Stel?

I don't really think he is the greatest, but the other GLs do. <Hides his face in shame at daring to ask such a question>

You have produced a wonderful amount of work, and it looks like you have a lot more to come.  Thanks for all the toys.
Title: Re: What's on your "To Do" List?

Because Stel 1.) wasn't a Black Lantern and/or 2.) isn't deceased/in the Crypt Of OA (as of prior to the reboot of course, currently who died and didn't seems questionable). That's the theme for Wave 4. I did already start doing some work on Stel, he just isn't being pushed in this batch. I think Wave 5 will be the last and I'll basically use it for loose ends like him.

Heh.  I was only kidding about Stel.  I noticed the modern lantern theme you had going. Haven't really read too many comics since the whole infinite crisis thing, but I may try to catch up on the lantern storyline. I'm just not sure where to start with it. There seem to be so many different colors now.  It's all somewhat overwhelming.
Title: Re: What's on your "To Do" List?

It's pretty coherent and easy to follow actually. The additional color spectrums add a lot to the mythos and story structures, on the hand they tend to overbake that concept as well. Most people suggest starting at Sinestro Corps War and moving up. I didn't buy in until just prior to Blackest Night and hadn't read GLC since the 80's and caught on to everything pretty quickly. Brightest Day shifts gears and sort becomes more of a DCU thing than a Lantern one and everything after focuses on the Lantern corner of the universe. It's decent reading particularly if you like stuff that's space opera-ish. The current New 52 are a little more contained than the ones prior to Flashpoint. Though unlike most other New 52 books they do directly continue from previous continuity (yes while still acknowledging that it no longer exists. don't think about it too hard lest your brain explodes). I'm sure there's disagreement on this but my absolute favorite since back to BL has been the Larfleeze solo series.

Ok, I am looking to start creating again while I have a few weeks off, and while I know I have my own "To Do" List, I also had a List going of things that I was going to do for other Members. The problem being, is that I don't remember what all I had committed to. Here's what I actually do remember though:

Various FX for Retro Toon Characters for SickAlice.

Various FX for the X-Men's Banshee for Spydermann.

Various FX for the Squadron Supreme's Doctor Spectrum for Amazo.

Atlantean Soldier MKV Skope for Daglob.

Atlantean Krang Skope for Daglob.

Atlantean Dorma Skope for Daglob.

Armored Supergirl Skope for Daglob.

Avatar Skope for Amazo.

Combat Armor Skope for Daglob.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unfortunately though, I don't remember what else I committed to doing, or who I committed them to. Since I can't find my notebook, I kind of need a reminder of who I agreed to do what for. That said, if you are one of those people, could you please let me know, I really don't want to leave anyone out. If it's alright, I'd prefer a PM so as to not threadjack this thread.

Thank you.

Could always toss some new ones in at random just to keep it fresh and fun for yourself. I do that constantly just so I'm not staring at one thing for too long and frustrating myself.

Still working a good volume here. Storm is at the absolute forefront of my agenda. I'm working the dresses right now and the AOA costume. Once I'm over that I'm left with more hairstyles and the smaller costume bits which is the easiest stuff of course. When I break from that I'm bouncing between the Iron Man ones, Arno and Mainframe taking priority, Ninja Turtles characters, Ravage 2099, Frenzy and something else. Everything else is still on but those are just up front this week. Also cleaning and organizing my drive, especially any directories for Freedom Force. It's so out of order I've actually begun to lose to things. Once your playing Hide N Seek with your hard drive it's time to stop, organize and delete the old. I'm such a trash heap these days, lol.

A couple of groups I will someday get around to:

The Living Bombs (http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/livingbombs.htm) - a hate group that went after the Vision. I love that they activate their bombs by bopping themselves on the head.
The Sino-Supermen (http://chicasderojo.blogspot.com/2011/07/solo-adventure-starring-batgirl_26.html) - Chinese knock-offs of the JLA who fought Batgirl.

Unfortunately, I tend to get burned out quicker making FX than I do with regular Skoping, mainly because dealing with FFEdit can be so monotonous at times. Also, the way I changed my routine when dealing with FFEdit allows for more mistakes as well.

That's another thing that's been taking a lot of my FF time. I have so many repetitive files cluttering up my Irrational Games' Directory, that I kind of lost track of what is where.

Same. Or files a quickly named and don't even know what they are any more. And multiple directories on far apart branches and files for FF buried in unrelated directories. Time well spent though as it only makes the actual process less confusing and go faster itself.

Samus has been pushed up as I figured out how to do the morph ball. Will be a cross pollination between actual game models and female basic of course. I'm pushing up the Iron characters of course, Arno and Mainframe taking top slots since there's active requests for them. Ravage is a go. Added Old Man Logan and Lady Deathstrike to my To Do. Still clacking away at everything else. Side note just as I don't know where else to ask but do we have a PC issues/advice/repairs thread around somewhere? I'm dealing with a lot of bugs here (full crash and fix last night) and know I'm not alone there.

* I fixed mine BTW, just finished now but I used to refurbish old pc's for disabled drop-in centers and retirement homes so this is sort of second nature to me. Still an undertaking, I had to replace all the original drivers, remove a trojan (winup) and in this case used Malwarebytes (normally I go through the files and reg manually but this is a sneaky one as well I just don't have the time to spend on it), get together with the Dish people (for all the naysay these techs are really prompt and knowledgeable) to fix the internet issues and then open up the LCD to fix the motherboard ribbon. I lucked out on the last part in that A. it wasn't shorted, just pinched and B. I only needed to loosen the screws in order to stop the pinching as opposed to taking the whole thing apart. Phew, not bad for a days work. Anyways if the information exchange doesn't exist here someone should make the thread. There's a lot of brilliant coders here that I'd put my faith in before many of the users lurking Answers and some of the tech forums out there.

Shadow is near finished. I'm down to the rigging right now, then I'm going to iron out some things with the animations. As this happens I'm taking requests for Sonic characters within guidelines.

- I'm not familiar with the characters. I only played the old school Genesis ones. I only recently came to know these characters through the Archie comics. So I don't have a good grasp on how the characters should move/fight. I need a decent description of how they move about to go ahead. " Does stuff " clearly doesn't work here.

- Must have an in game model accessible to me for use. For example I'm interested in Sally Acorn and Sticks the Badger but game models are not available to me. I see some custom jobs out there but can't get a hold of the authors and won't go ahead without direct permission. Most of the models I use come from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, The " Episode " games or the Mario/Sonic Winter Olympics game as I have a full stock of those on my hard drive. Any buried links to something I haven't seen would of course be appreciated, I know there's usually a niche community for any game modding somewhere or another that has the rare stuff.

* in progress/consideration already: I already did Sonic and Knuckles and as stated am finishing Shadow. I also did a few Eggman's and am not interested in making more though I'll listen to a request. I'm working on Tails since he's a staple of the series and I consider it a given. Sort of like having a Robin to our Sonic's Batman. Else I dunno? I see people like this Silver character (no understanding of the guy moves on my end) and Robo-Sonic (I think I get this guy, he sort of moves fast like Sonic but jets along like Iron Man instead?). Anything else anyone wants to see? Like I said I'm really enjoying the comic so I'm open to working characters from this series. I'm also working on Mega Man stuff of course but I'm a fanhard when it comes to that series and have everything down pact.

Question for anyone: I've been at Kick-@$$ since last year. It's been done for awhile with the exception of the jetpack/Gatling guns. For the life of me I cannot get them to work, more than anything the actual jets. Would anyone be okay if I just released him as standard fighter and left out the jetpack? I know it's a signature move but it's just taking me too long.

Also can anyone think of a mesh with wings that also has a handgun? If nay I can work around it but I'd like to save myself some keyframe work if possible since usually winged meshes have several wing bone entries to account for. Thanks.

Is Grenadier on the skoping list? Because his Hawkman mesh has wings and uses a Crossbow, which can easily be replaced with a gun.

Yeah he is. And *headsmack*. Thanks. Jeez I'm just working with that very mesh for a White/Black Lantern/New 52 redux. How the heck did I forget it when I'm scrolling over it each day, lol.

Oh so Ace Duck is on my to do list then as well. Actually he's almost finished now thanks to you. I just have to tailor the jacket into a bomber jacket, make the gondolier and set the keyframes so the wings only come out in air (luckily there's those extra strings for Hawkman's mace and such so not too much work, thanks for that as well).

Honestly it feels good to have my house in order again. I'm working it according to subsections: Retrogame swaps, TMNT, Marvel characters, New DC designs, Lantern Corps, Iron Man armor types, props and daglob challenges in between. This system seems to be going well where I bounce between several nifs and textures doing bits here and there.

I'm pretty much dumping my previous "To Do" List, and starting over.

As of now, my list includes (In no particular order):

Ultraverse's Prime - This is a dual Skope, with two versions of the Character.

DC Comics' Tempest - The Doom Patrol Version, not Aquaman's sidekick.

A couple of Avatar's - But I won't be offended if someone else jumps in, I have no clue when I'm going to get to these.

Some Minions for Marvel Comics' Kang.

Adjust and release SCD's Skopes that have been sitting in my E-Mail for longer than I remember.

The Comet from the Mighty Crusaders (Red Circle) - Just needs a Skin now (I think).

The rainbow helmet version?  Kenn X has a hex and skin of him on Alex's Freedom Fortress.

The one with the Cyclops visor has been done too.

I'm currently using Copper Age's awesome Skin for my Skope, but I can't release the Skope with his Skin.

And to be honest, it was your "Fly Man" and "Fly Girl" Meshes that inspired me to update the Characters, I have had a "Shield" in the works forever, but just have never been satisfied with him.

Adding texture pack updates to my list. I was really hesitant because I didn't want to make people redownload but decided I could get away with making extra packs instead with an update nif if needed. Sue and Harley are on the list right now though I'm not prioritizing them. Also working on some Battleworld stuff but I'm keeping that secret for now until I'm ready or if all else because doing so is ironic. I'll update that thread soon as well, it's just a chore actually going through all those characters.

I think I found the problem with the "Prime" Skope, but I've been having issues with the College Websites so I haven't been able to test my theories yet. I have a previous version saved, so I am going to try and work on it this weekend.

Since this will be my last visit to FR for the foreseeable future, I don't feel right having things on my "To Do" List that I will not be working on. So that just leaves two Skopes that I would like to follow through on out of respect for the friendships that I have made. It may take a while, and for that, I truly apologize, but life has thrown me one too many curves. While the Flash Drive that had these two Skopes on them has gone missing, I was able to retrieve "Prime" from an E-Mail, and "Tempest" needed to be started over anyway since I had broken the Skope.

Ultraverse's Prime - This is a dual Skope, with two versions of the Character.

DC Comics' Tempest - The Doom Patrol Version, not Aquaman's sidekick.

But as I said, this will be my final post for the foreseeable future, so the owners of these two Skopes will be contacted via E-Mail if I have any questions about these. For those who wanted Skopes that I will not be getting to, again, I do apologize, but my hands are quite literally tied.

Trying to finish an Ant-Man using bit's from a game model on a Freedom Force mesh. I finished the NOW costume pretty easily, texturing the movie one is giving me a ton of problems though. So kickin though, just slowly and bogged down by some things right now.

I am working on finishing up the details for a board game that I am creating using my original heroes.  Vertex and Grenadier were gracious enough to allow me to use their mesh work to create models of my heroes and villains. Of course, I am applying my own original skins to them and am on the downside of finishing the artwork for my character cards. I just need to finish the skins for a few of the characters. I've been meaning to make some sort of announcement in the Other Games section, meanwhile posting previews around here somewhere. I just wanted to get a better idea of when things would be completed.

I'm going to dust off this thread in the hopes that maybe it will provide me with a little motivation. I don't completely remember what I was working on before my hiatus, added to the fact that my NifSkope ability seems to have gathered quite a bit of dust...and it's not a pretty picture.

So I've started cleaning up my files, trying to condense things a bit, and I've sent a few things out to some Skinners. So here are some of the projects that were left that need to be finished up:

Fire Power - Iron Man Villain (Skope WIP)
Krang - Sub Mariner Villain (Skope Finished)
Triumph - JLA Member/Villain (Skope WIP)
Doctor Midnite (Original) - JSA Member (Skope WIP)
Ringer - Marvel Comics Villain (Keyframes WIP)
Prime - Ultraverse Character (I Think) (Skope WIP)
Superpatriot/USAgent - Captain America Wannabe (Skope WIP)

These are just the ones that are in my main "Characters" Folder, but since I keep multiple Folders, there are most others that are not listed here as well.

Getting back into the swing of things. I completed a Doom 2099, Old Man Logan, and ANAD Spider-man 2099. I just need finished keyframes for the 2099 characters and I'm adding two jackets to OML. Then I'll push back into my previous checklist starting with Maestro. Nice to have some time to dedicate to this again.
