Curses! I don't know how I managed to miss this. I did hear about it a long while ago, but it seems to have come a long way since then.

It looks to have been abandoned...but this could have been SOOO cool! It is a Transformers mod for Battlefield: 1942, where you have the ability to switch between robot and vehicle mode. It looks like they were working their way up to the classic G1 characters and such as well, but it seems that the project is pretty much dead. It seems to still be available, but with a game such as this you need lots of people to play it. If they had actually progressed to the level of having the classic characters available, I'd have literally payed to play this! :P

I have my hopes up too but knowing hasbro, it might be based on the last series :(. Boggles the mind why they havent made another G1 game. Only thing the last one got right were the character models. With the concept of transforming robots, there should have been a million games by now.
I know, it boggles the mind that there haven't been more games. It just seems like the perfect concept. I have deep, deep fears that the new game will be based on Transformers: Animated...but I hope not.
