I had a feeling this was coming, due to my brilliant deductive abilities (well, that and all the extremely strong hints you were dropping...)
Since I found my missing :ffvstr: disk a while back, I wouldn't mind seeing if I can come up with an interpretation of my avatar character for some sort of expansion pack at some point, if possible. I need to get back into FF, anyway...

No, I'm not going to be adding new avatars to project that exists only to package all the FR avatars in one place :rolleyes:
But in all seriousness, once I get everything updated and ready to be uploaded (which is basically just uploading AA's hero file and re-recording my VP, it's a bit... eh), I'll be posting a new thread or two to that end fairly shortly.

i'd like to be included in this one as well, if possible. i'm working on a new mesh with a sword. making some kneeling with sword keyframes, and waving about and stuff. sword salute.
Because I'm in a temporary lul between school and working on the FR mod (gotta wait until the weekend to get everything I need for the new VP), here's the expanded requirement list so anyone can get what they need together in advance.
General:
-This probably won't be a problem for most of you, but please keep your submissions fairly simple. Having one skin for your avatar and one for a minion or a transformation is fine (EX:Lunarman Armored and Unko's Gumballs) but I don't need 20 outfits for the same guy, or 5 hero files because you can't stick to one powerset.
Nescessary files:
-Hero file/s (in case of minions/transformations)
-Skins
-No skin file should be above 512x512
-Any blank files (all-black glows, refls, etc.) should be no bigger than 64x64
-Keyframes
-Meshes
-Any Custom FX
-Any Custom Voices
-For VP, please include a strings file.
-In game hover description (no more than 7 words)
-Full databank description (no more than 70 words)
-A txt document with credit for all skins, mesh pieces, animations, etc.
Optional Extras:
-7 word description for each power
-A talking head Nif

up to the skinner. Obviously dds is going to glitch less in-game, but I know tga is much easier to work with. If a set of extras glitches repeatedly I'll just change it myself

Anyone who is a member of Freedom Reborn can submit stuff, as long as they can meet the requirements.
The hover description is when you mouse over a character and it says something like "Vitamin-enriched defender of Patriot City" in the lower right hand corner. The databank one is the little mini-bio that's in the character's profile.

Not currently, but that's not really so much my choice as it is that there isn't a good balance between FR heroes and villains.

You can, if you can get someone to make a file for you. It's not that hard, I'm sure one of the fine folks here will help you.
The problem comes down to the fact that the mod is intended for FFv3R, and you'd be unable to play it if you can't run the game.

Fun too, I have to say. It was a nice, (relatively) unoffensive way of getting some stuff out of my system (and not just the FR stuff, but it helped me feel better about some RL idiocy that's been adding to my stress) that had been making me grumpy... well, grumpier anyway.
The one thing that kind of depresses me though, is if IPS had done this sorta thing, either yelled his frustrations into a mic or done something else constructive with it, none of this "Destroy FR" idiocy would have happened. *shrug* But whatever... I came back to the community because of it, and that's all that matters, right?

Anyhow, glad you fell back into this Tomato. I still think this is a cool project (I should, after all), I'm just dissapointed some of the longer standing members never added their avatars. Granted many never even got into FFvsTR and don't really have anything to do with FF anymore... Still, it'd be good to have FR's history represented.

Well, I actually do plan on asking a few people (such as Randy and C6) but I'm not sure how TUE would respond... he's very protective of his character, and I respect that. I know what happens when people can take stuff out of context >.>

If you're asking whether or not you can enter the mod, I have no problem with it (provided you meet the submission criteria... which I still need to find/remake and post >.<) I just haven't been focused on this sort of thing recently. Between the stuff I'm doing for NPI, real life, and my temporary burnout I just haven't worked on it. If someone wants to take over and continue work though, I'm more then happy to pass on the torch.
