Years back when i played freedom force the last time (or was it the third reich one, cant quite recall) there was a mod that replaced the main story characters with their comic book equivelants such as minuteman -> captain america and you could play the singleplayer campaign through with those... what mod was it? I'd like to find it again :P
That sounds like the first mod ever made for Freedom Force called "Avengers mod" It had the same Campaign but like you said, it replaced the in game characters with Marvel ones, but they all didn't equal their FF counterpart (Mentor was replaced with Hawkeye). The head nifs were changed to the Marvel characters but the voices stayed the same so Hawkeye had Mentor's lines and voice which didnt flow very well. Also I remember Thor used the Order mesh with a Thor skin on it, very old school!
I actually have that mod on my hard drive but I don't know how I would get it to you unless anybody else has a idea.

Ah cool :D I remember it had its problems but I still thought it was great fun playing with characters looking like those you know... change tends to be fun at times ;)

I don't see that mod anywhere at the Mod Graveyard. I'll see if I can get that mod uploaded somewhere for ya though.

There is no installer with it and I don't think there is a shortcut to start it either, hopefully you know how to install it and how to make a shortcut.

Hi, I have to imagine that there is some renewed interest in getting the conversion mod where the original FF was played as the Avengers. Anyone know how to get this mod?
I think I have an old CD with that mod (and a few others) on it. I'll have to check when I get home.

It's quite large and broken into pieces.
There's also the smaller Avengers Mod that's mentioned above that's 27 megs, replacing the characters in the main campaign with Avengers, but not their voices, etc.
