Maaaaybe. I don't know yet, this was as far as I got before I got distracted  :P.

Just to explain why this came about... I just re-downloaded C6's X-men pack 3 off of Ren's website this evening, along with all the meshes and such that go along with it. Well, I was looking through them, and Cyclops' visor just bugged me... No offense Vertex, but that visor is one of the few ugly blotches in your time as a mesher. And rather then rip the one Tommy did or use a more modern visor (the latter of which I'd done before) I decided to mesh/skin my own classic visor.

And then my own belt (complete with that freaky buckle he wore back in GSX #1).

And then I just finished the rest of the mesh.

And at that point, why not just reskin him from scratch.

No offense taken, I made 7 visors and the cyclops that matrix released wasn't for release.

Well, I WAS just going to ask this in the chat, but SOMEONE changed the topic to post count just after I posted my image  :banghead:.

I'm trying to decide if my shadows (which are on a separate layer, as are highlights) are dark enough, or if I should adjust them a bit more. Meh.

Well, I tried doing the one eyeglow (first kitbashing yours then with my own custom visor lens...) but it just didn't look right to me. But hey, it's an excuse for you to do a skin for the mesh, right?  :P

Oh, something interesting I remembered while chatting with the rest of the usual gang on FR's chat, This is actually the SECOND Cyclops mesh I've done . The first was done waaaaaay back in the dark ages of the FF community under another username. Fortunately, unlike most of my other work, it has survived in the dusty corners of FF mesh groups awaiting the day I could pull it out and show you all just how very bad it was.

PS: Hey, I USE that Cyclops, as both Cyc and Man of the Atom.

Hmmm... It does look a little old for Scott, but I'm trying to emulate Cyclops' appearance when he got his new goggles in GSX #1. And Cockrum's style... it's a bit heavy handed on some of those facial details for Scott.

But what does everybody else think? Did I properly emulate the Cockrum look, or did I go a bit too far?

I have to say, the skinning job on Cyclops so far is really impressive. I like what you did with the costume, with the black shading and the blue/white highlights. I'm looking forward to seeing the final results.

I didn't even notice Cyke looking older until it was pointed out, but it still doesn't look out of place to me. Maybe if he didn't scowl and had more of a grimace? Like a straight-line mouth?

I understand where you're coming from Court, but it's generally a matter of opinion in the comics... sometimes artists will draw twin glows, sometimes the one. Personally, I just like the look of the twin glow on my skin, makes it feel a bit more balanced. You're more then welcome to do your own version (mine started out as a kittbash of your work anyway, heh) when it comes out... heck, I'll send you the mesh now, if you want to skin it.

Modern artists are the problem sadly...I guess they thought Kirby, Cockrum, and Byrne were doing it wrong all that time. "What? Draw Cyclops on model??? Nah...those crazy old farts didn't know what they were doing!" :P

Anywho...getting off track here...back to Tomato's fine new mesh!

I will definetly skin your mesh once it's realesed...Cyclops is a favorite of mine.

Finished the Black/Blue areas, finally  :banghead:.

The major issue, as it typically seems to be for me, is the back of the upper torso, seen in the second pic. See, I know generally where shading goes on the arms, the face, the legs, the chest, the hands, and all that... but the back absolutely stumps me. I've looked at bodybuilders, I've looked at comic books, other bases... but it's just one gigantic brain fart. And with Cyclops' back... well, normally I give up on that area in disgust, but this time I'm at least content with the look.

Aaaaaand Done. Should have this guy zipped up and in a yahoo group or somesuch by sometime tomorrow, depending on when I can tear myself away from my Vidjamagames to bother writing a readme file.

For those wondering about the website, it's not going to be up for very much longer. I have all my files from there backed up already, so don't freak out because you can't get Sylar (or whatever other character on my site was actually worth the time to download). I just don't feel like paying for a .com anymore due to my having to pay for, y'know, food  :P.

But anyway, as far as future projects... Aside from Fighter (who is temporarily benched because I still haven't learned to animate, heh.) I have one or two in mind, depending on how much time I have between schoolwork. The next one might take some time though, it's a bit of a Colossal project ;).

Good to see you back meshing for FF/v3r.
I still have your old meshes back when you were who you were back then. Including the old Cyclops.
It's a shame that someone superglued Scott's hand to the side of his head as a joke though  :P

Heh, then maybe I should keep it...  ;)

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Tomatostuffage/ (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Tomatostuffage/) - Cyclops is up. I did something a bit unorthodox here and left the resolution for the tgas as 1024 (normally skinners resize to 512) but I feel as though most of us have hardware and connections capable of dealing with it, and if the 1024 starts making FF/FFvtTR lag any yokel with gimp can make it 512. Making them bigger again is the tough part, heh.

Heh, you think this is good? Pfft, that mesh took less than 2 hours from me deciding I wanted a new Classic Visor to a completed mesh (and that's factoring in the period where I was just going to do the new visor, without a whole mesh). This next one... heh. If only you could my screen right now  ;).

for those of you who don't know about the FR chat (for whatever silly reason) or haven't bothered with it before, I'm bored enough right now that I'll be giving a preview of my latest mesh to those who get in the shack, an offer that will stand from now until 1am. Huh, it's 3am here... probably should have clarified the time zone I meant as EST, heh.

No biggie though, I'll probably post a preview here later in the week. I did this mostly spur of the moment, but I'm thinking maybe, given the Colossal size of this project, I'll do one preview every week (or half a week this time 'round, since I'm done with the next set already) in the chat room, and post the previous week's preview in here. Of course, I'm already done with the meshing for the next preview as it is, so I might make it bi-weekly... tuesdays and fridays or somesuch. I have pretty much unadulterated meshing time this weekend, so I'll be done with the next couple well before then... especially if I cheat  ;)

I should put a notice up for everyone here: These previews will only have cobbled together skins from colored C6 bases and gradients. This is because (for whatever reason) it takes me over a week to finish skins while it only takes a few hours to complete something like my Cyclops.
Title: Re: Tomato's Meshes: One-Eyed Mutant Finished (3/22/09)
Post by: Tomato on March 28, 2009, 02:37:17 AM
I was going to do the preview thing I suggested, but between the fact that I'd potentially have to skin each piece twice (once with the cheapo skin and once with the final) and that fact that it was pretty juvenile to begin with, I'm going away with it. Here's a preview of two outfits worth of mesh pieces (That's right, as in uniforms plural. Mwahaha) that I have completed (which actually covers 3 costumes I'd love to see, as his Astonishing outfit would just use the pieces from the classic).

Obviously the skins aren't great but they're just placeholders, really. Most of what I use to preview these in max is C6's Colossus anyway, so...  :P

Title: Re: Tomato's Meshes: Colossal (3/27/09)
Post by: Tomato on March 28, 2009, 03:58:50 AM
What do you mean by build? If you mean Muscular build, I built his base mesh up from Male_Basic to enhance his muscular sturucture, giving him a slightly stocky build, and increased the size of his hands and feet as well. After the whole mesh is done, I plan on hexing the nif to make him slightly taller than the Basic meshes, so that I don't lose the advantages of utilizing a MB biped.

I'm holding off on finishing Colossus for a bit, as the project is rather massive and I just don't feel like working on it right now :P.

However, I do have two projects either done or almost done on the meshing end, one of which will be sent, as soon as it's "done," over to another FR mesher for custom animations.

First, a mystery mesh. Those of you who know my current skinning binge might be able to guess if you try though.

It is and isn't. I did that version of the skin for Version 1, and the mapping then was meant for a cylinder. Now he has actual legs, and the original skin doesn't fit on the new mapping.

Er... no. Timm meshes require skills I don't have, and I'd shoot myself before trying to do KH meshes. Fighter's(Fighter, FYI, is based on 8-bit theater, a "parody" of Final Fantasy 1) Hair alone took 2 months between my other projects.

Not really. You have to understand, the Timm toons aren't set up like MB meshes, fundamentally. Shoulders are held higher and further out, overall torso is bigger, legs are smaller... Fighter, as cartoony as he looks, was designed and put together with the MB biped in mind. But when Volsung made his Timm meshes, he had to fundamentally change that biped. I don't know how to do that, and I don't have the patience or skill to modify or create a new slew of animations for the altered biped (because, FYI, altered biped means no MB keys work with Timm meshes).

Some of you know about what I've been doing, some of you don't, but I'm a bit tired ATM so... I'll let these previews explain for me a little bit. On the left is Male_basic, the right my upcoming mesh Male_Basic_TM

Got a few new ideas from Vertex after making these screens, so I'll implement those tomorrow or the day after, depending on what time I get up vs. the time I have to work tomorrow.

Also, before anyone points out the feet... they've been remapped so that the feet can be skinned via YL or Guardian.

when this is done, it'll be released via both .nif AND .max, so if anyone wants to go forth and make a male_skinny, or male_underpants or male_chickendoodledo, they're more then welcome to.

Fingers? Who needs 'em?

I wonder what else will be hiding on this mesh. I also wonder what you have in way of animations. I am a curious fella.

The idea V and I came up with last night (because he's sort of helping me through the meshing end ATM) it to set up the fingers so that they can use MB keys but have individual movement if an animator wants to come up behind me and add say, Spiderman's web shooters that can be done. I've only got a vague idea how to set that up though, so I might have to have Vertex or Tommy help walk me through it.

The fingers and shoes aren't the only changes though... some of the more experienced skinners might want to look at the torso, shoulders, and neck.

Basically my idea is that this mesh will be (sans fingers, sorry) more skinner friendly then Male_Basic was... I've corrected some more subtle problems (a smidgeon of warping around the knee, the mapping of the torso has shifted so you can just flip symetical designs rather then moving them 2 to 8 pixels) as well as some major ones you can't really see (top of the head doesn't warp nearly as much, lower back is altered similar to how the abs were).

To that end, thanks to C6 and Murs, with this mesh will come with two skins... one by murs, a standard which will hopefully show off stuff like the dual boots, as well as an updated version of C6's base... not C6's new one, but the old one (edited by Murs as well) modified so as to eliminate problems with the original (like his black hole o crotch)

I don't know, actually. I was able to get a semi-decent kid body (for Kid Rocket) by shrinking down certain areas to match Ren's kid meshes... I'd have to look at it again though.

However, what might be easier, in the long run, is if someone altered the mesh to be somewhat skinnier/more teen-like via max, then skoped the biped down via nifskope. That way one can use the keyframes from other meshes (which has always been my problem... I think the only teen-ish keys I like are the ones for Ren's Superboy.) rather then relying on ones for a specific biped that we rarely see stuff made for.

Worth some thought... who knows. I ever get more then a few hours before I have job or this or that to do via RL (I've worked on this mesh most often between 11:00 PM when I get off work and 2:00AM-3:00AM when I give up and fall asleep, meh.) I might play around with it. Or cheat a bit, have someone else do it for me. Whichever works.

Edit: Grah, forgot the point of my post in the mirage of IMs I've got up... a shot of the top of the head mapping, using a kittbashed version of one of C6's spidermen (twas the most convenient spidey skin at the time)

Well, if someone wants to get me a size comparison of a teen body vs adult body, I'll look into changes that might need making. Just be aware... whenever I come back to this stuff, after one or two skin projects, I've got another mesh correction to do... one with a much bigger warping issue around the chest.

Two things: First, go here (http://ffcenter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=59&start=0) and discuss. It's about what needs to happen with that bloody female mesh. Second, I'm looking for a skinner to do my Male_Nomouth_TM mesh (which might change to Maskmouth or something, since the mask is draped over the mouth rather then it being something like Barakapool's nomouth *shrug*). PM me if you're interested in doing a throwaway skin for the standard (I'd do it myself, but I have an annoying habit of designing things in and then meshing them, heh).

Not really... I'm kind of running on the impression people can skope the things on and off. If I'm meshing a specific character that has a hood... then I'll make a hood, maybe. Depends on what I need, and if someone has already done one.

I blame this one on C6... his duo of standards for my Colossus hyped me up on meshing again. While I still plan (and definately so) to redo the Female mesh sometime soon, Male_Suit's mapping scheme has long irritated me. So I did up a second mapping scheme, complete with the MB head and my signature set of two hands.

With any luck, this will be a successful jumping off point for a second attempt at an old favorite of mine.

The base mesh will not, because I've got it on MB keys and I think if people need to they can find a couple dozen ways to get it working. As for the second mesh to come out of this... he might have one or two sets of guns, perhaps.

Depends... the base mesh I've got in mind is definitely going to be skinnier then the "Female Basic" models (With a smaller but more shapely chest area... Irrational really failed there, methinks) but I don't know about supermodel. What I'm mainly looking at doing is a more classic looking Comic Book-type heroine body, which is what I never saw in the Irrational basics... though, keep in mind this is only conceptual stuff. Having not sat down and actually worked on it at all, what's in my head and what I end up with = two different things.

Also...

I can't wait to see this one completed. The one critique that I do have is the hair. I think that it's a little too anime-esque on both sides. Here's a couple of good examples of the hair.....

Everybody has there own interpretations of the hair but to me these are the examples of his hair done right....one side is completely controlled and other out of control. If you wanted to go with something a little more modern.....

Anyway... on another note... I've looked back through some of my/my dad's comic archives, and I'm beginning to see your original point Cas. Personally, I prefer this look for him, but doubling up on my hair types isn't hard. The hard part was that messiness, which can be duplicated now that it's made.

Speaking of that archives thing... if there's any particular stories involving two face you think I should check out, list it here... I'm on a bit of a comic reading binge now, so I'll look back/look for a copy of anything you suggest.

Drive Sinestro crazy; yellow or green ring/corps depending on the flip of a coin? I may have to skin that.

Coin flip animation: gotta have it in the Power animation too.

... or... waitaminute... could you have the coin toss be a kind of transform animation between Twoface good and Twoface Bad?

Now, that would be cute: every once in a while he transforms back and forth between two alternate "forms" identical except one is Generic Villain and one is Generic Hero. Would this work?

i think taht could work...accidental change with a timer/random would do the trick for the transformation. then the problem of good bad you'd have to manually add him to the kind of list cops and thugs uses in the core game (i'm not much into scripting...)

tomato: if you're looking for good Two Faces story:
_Batman: The Long Halloween (1996/1997) is probably where you'll want to start (very good story, and a real mystery about who's on what side)
_Batman Annual 14 (1990) is a good origin story of the character, really going deep into the character motivation
_BAtman: Faces (1992) has two face as a main character, but i don't really remember the plot...something about creating a nation for circus freak if i remember well

Begin work on my female mesh most likely, some different pieces for Two-Face, that sort of thing. On that note, since invariably some of those meshes will be guns for Two-Face... I was wondering if anoyone had any specific weapons they think I should include. My to-do list ATM is...

-A .22 caliber pistol (with a hexable baby-bottle silencer, ala LH)
-Two Generic Double-barrel pistols
-A Generic Double-barrel Shotgun.

I'm not really a gun person though, so any ideas or whatever would be appreciated.

Edit: I've removed the original content of this post because it was posted in anger and blamed them for something that was more a product of laziness then outright spite against me, for which (if he read it before this edit) I apologize. In short: I have to edit the standard for my male_basic_tm mesh today rather then work on the two-face mesh like I'd planned, but the upside is that the three MB variants should be up by tomorrow.

I did, however, have a question for the skinners/meshers here... I still have yet to start my female mesh, but I just came across Artemis' excellent re-skin of Eve... and it occurs to me that with some minor tweaking (and some major re-mapping) Eve is far closer to a super-heroine build, IMO, then the female basic-types. Now, it means more work on my end (remapping, rephysique, etc) but... would you guys prefer Eve as a base?

Hi Tomato....my preference is female_versatile.  I have liked some of the meshes that Renegade and YL have come up with off of that mapping...

Just a thought....

Just a thought....

See, I've looked at that one also, but unfortunately it shares many of the same proportion issues as the other female_Basic meshes... all three seem short, have twiggy arms (FV is probably the best of those, but still not great) cartoonishly short torso, and malformed bo... er... chest, and wide hips. Really, Irrational's "basic" female meshes are plain bad in general. Eve, on the other hand... I'd obviously want to remap her so she isn't character-specific, but there isn't nearly as much actual "mesh work" nescessarily... there are a few issues, but I can correct those easier then I would with the other meshes.

Now, I don't mean to belittle the suggestion... originally my plan had been to use either Female_longhair or Female_Versatile and work from there. But Eve really is just a much better mesh.

In the meantime, here's the completed version of Male_Basic_TM, as well as it's variants, Male_FullMask_TM and Male_DPMask_TM.

(http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/2651/malebasictm.jpg)(http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/2332/malefullmask.jpg)(http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/5889/maledpmask.jpg)

All three meshes will soon be included on NPI.

I think Eve would be a really good choice to base this new mesh on. The Eve hair of course would need to go....but the basic build is good....I do get the feeling that she's gonna take some work. I'm really not a fan of the female basic or female versitile and she is an infinitely better choice. I also like the body on Green Genie...she'd probably take even more work (exported as obj file...rigged...head, neck and feet remeshed and remap the whole shebang.) . I hope that with Eve you'll consider doing different builds....a little slimmer and shorter for a teen...a little taller, more muscular with larger breasts for the more "classic" Super Woman archtype and even something in between. Oh and by the way...fantastic work on those male basics!

I love the idea of using the Eve mesh. It's always been my favorite female mesh, but with the awkward mapping it's hard to do most characters with it.

Also: Does your new male_basic_tm mesh use specific keyframes or is it bale_basic compatable? I'm excited about trying out your new mesh.

It's male_basic compatible, yes. I'm not that good an animator, and I figure MB keys are the most versatile anyway.

Hey Tomatoe, I love your work man! Can I ask youi a favour though? You're RedAnt_V2 mesh is great and I plan on using it for a House Of M Ironman. But it;s missing some stuff and has some it doesn't. Could you either release r send me a skope of the mesh without the shoulder pads and, if possible, with a gundam-esque head? I know it's a big ask, but if anyman can you can!

First, it's a skope, not a mesh... uses mostly pieces from Tommy's Iron Man-type meshes with only a few additional pieces of mine. Second, I'm not going to... what you ask is fairly simple to do in nifskope, and I would encourage you to do it yourself.

Curse you Mystik, I worked on this all day instead of two face (also, reason meshes won't be up is twofold... one, I'm lazy, but two I discovered an issue with my male_basic_tm max... corrected now, but it took me an hour or so to fix... had to move vertecies back into place from the torso down)

As for this Teen mesh... looking for any input you all might have.

oooo teen mesh. Podmark needs. Seriously teens will be like 60% of my skinning output over the next year. All those darn X-kids won't skin themselves.

How does it compare in size to Male_basic?

EDIT: The only things I might suggest right now is maybe a rounder head, but I'm not even sure that is necessary, and if possible maybe less broad shoulders.

In terms of size... right now it's probably slightly higher then MB, but I'm gonna shrink it down to ~.93 using the handle node, so that it can still use the MB keys

I was gonna release what I had (the Male Basics+Teen) sometime this morning... but I think I'll wait until AA finally sees this thread before I release the teen mesh. Partly because I'd value his opinion on any alterations to make, but mostly because I wanna see his reaction to it before I release it  :P.

In the meantime... to prove I haven't been ENTIRELY slacking off playing vidjamagames, here's something that took me most of today to finish. It's a Double Barrel Handgun, one of 3 weapons (this one will be used in both hands) for the Two Face mesh.

I should point out, however, that the material on it is Max's chrome effect, in lieu of any skin work.

The new male basic and male basic teen mesh both look ok to me.
Any chance they will be compatible for male cape keyframes too?
I'd be very interested to see how your female teen mesh would look like if ever there would be one in the future.  :P

Oh and great job on the double barrel handgun.

Not really, but adding the cape node is an easy skope. On the off chance I have time tomorrow before or after work I'll include it. Need to double-check some stuff in the zips anyway... most everything is done (not doing portraits here, I don't expect you guys to use "naked" superheroes) just need to spend a few minutes putting together thumbnail pics... but not tonight. Work tomorrow, need sleep. Niiight.

Oh, trust me, I fully expect it to get on everyone's nerves... But, in the long run, it IS more versatile.

Also, an announcement: I noticed something odd about the face shape... you can only really see it at certain angles, but basically the area right beneath the cheakbones was jutting back really bad... can't think of a better way to put it offhand . I re-uploaded the zip and took the opportunity to add the max file this time around.

Ok, so. Long story short, Windows Vista is a memory-hogging jerkface. Now, it has been this for awhile, but it has now reached a point where I cannot even access my Virtual PC so I can run Max 5... as well as making other things more difficult then they have to be. I've got so many things I want to do right now (four full-blown meshes and one halfway mesh are on my current "ASAP" to-do list, not to mention skins and such I want to do) I'm going to permanently fix the situation... by getting XP as my OS.

So yeah, I probably won't be able to update any of meshes for a few days while I go through and set everything back up... also, I'm going in for my military physical tuesday, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how things go. I'll keep you guys posted.

did a little photo editing rather than just describing where i think a few improvements in contour can help.  Right now... the body while definately thicker... isn't too unlike Ren's 'older' superman in form.  ie thicker but still which an athletic 'V', waist slimmer than chest. Rather than the 'I ate a few too many burgers'... 'O', equal or wider waist diameter to chest.  Slight adjust on hips and upper thigh accordingly.

If I might add to HQ's points: maybe a bit rounder face, so the cheeks aren't as chiseled (I know the base skin helps create this illusion in the preview) amd a bit thiker neck, that is roughly the same diameter as the head. But so far, good work. It will add a good deal more variety to the game. I certainly look forward to skoping with this toy.

You'll have to forgive me if this is a bit short, typing this on PS3.

@HQ: I definitely see your point, though I might make this male_stocky and then do male_football or something, especially since I know Ren's Superman has (or I think it does) that character-specific hair like Superboy has.

@DocC: Heh... It's ironic you mention the face... I actually made some modifications after the initial preview, but I didn't feel like going through and making another screen.

Great work on this mesh so far T! It's great to see more body type variations. I definately like the idea of male_stocky for this and then making further adjustments for \further body types. Great work!

Meh, I wish I had that keyboard attachment... looked at it when I picked up Arkham Asylum and was just like... f*** that's too much.

Anyway, few updates on my end... split by mesh/project.

Two-face: Mk, so, guns are hard. Most of the relatively small periods I've been meshing since my last post have been spent trying to wring some kind of coherent UV map from the double-barrel and the .22 . I spent somewhere upwards of 6 hours just mapping ONE gun, probably more. Right now I'm about halfway or so done with the .22, and finished, minus later tweeks, with the DBP. As for the shotgun... well, the way things are going, if I wait until that's done to release him... expect it in 2012 or so. Really, this is the stuff burn outs are made of. So yeah, what'll probably happen is I'll put out a shotgun less version, possibly do a v2 when I'm not sick of guns.

HQ project: honestly, I haven't opened the max in awhile... don't know why honestly... really, tis the easiest of my main 3 projects. *shrug*

part 1 end

part 2, because the PS3 only lets me put so much text in at once >.>

female_basic_TM: Still in the beginning stages on this one, pulled it up a few minutes ago to maybe get some work in on it, but APPARENTLY my comp's power chord got pulled out awhile ago so it died before I could do very much, other then see what I'm dealing with... meh. Eve might be less of a hassle then FB on the remeshing front, but not much. fun times, heh

anyway, getting a bit sleepy, been a bit sick-ish the last few days, plus some pink eye nastiness today. later.

Deep UV is a nice little program for mapping.

As far as female meshes, I mostly go with a female_versatile base because it is bald. Growing hair from a bald mesh is much easier than making different heads or making a head with hair bald (okay, not in RL).

Deep UV is a nice little program for mapping.

As far as female meshes, I mostly go with a female_versatile base because it is bald. Growing hair from a bald mesh is much easier than making different heads or making a head with hair bald (okay, not in RL).

heh, I actually use deep uv. guns are just... harder then most other objects.

As for FV... you'd be right, except that, were I to use FV, I'd still be hosed. My intent with the TM FB is that we finally get a mesh that has good proportions, which FV doesn't have, IMHO.

the issue with Eve has less to do with the head/back area, but with the hips... they basically meshed the belt in, so the shaping is odd and not symetric

Still, I could be sitting there for 3 hours fixing FV's bust.

Whats the mapping going to end up like on the new female? I'm less likely to use it if it's not similar to female_basic. Also a bald head is essential I think.
A female with a better build would be a welcome addition.

In all probability, the mapping will be similar to FB in the same way male_basic_TM was similar to MB. Alterations for the additional finger spaces, remapped feet, etc. The one major difference will be the head... I don't know about everyone else, but I personally despise the way some bald meshes are mapped, with the back of the head separated.

In all honesty though, I might just opt for a new mapping scheme once I get started. While I don't exactly relish the idea of a departure from the norm, FB mapping was clearly designed to focus on detail for the hair, which isn't nescessary anymore.

*shrug* we'll see. I'm not quite there yet, so it's all conjecture right now. in the meantime, got the base mesh done today, I'm mostly happy with the shape, with one exception that I can't really deal with until later. I might do some more after work, but it all depends on how I feel

Yeah I'm fine with a remapped head. Vertex did that, even Irrational did with the FV.

3 hours on her bust?   Dude, just make a new mesh.

You could cut out Eve's hips and swap in some one else's.

I love Eve's proportion by I hate the mapping. Also boobies that don't warp the texture.

that'd be essentially what I'd be doing... what with reshaping the bust, hips, face, hands, shoulders, and feet.

What'll probably happen is that I'll release 3 female builds based on what I have... Amazon (basic Eve build, for Wonder Woman-type chars) Basic (a bit leaner then Eve, the kind of build I'd expect for Catwoman or Phoenix) and finally Teen (Wonder Girl, Batgirl, etc.) Rather then waste space adding some silly generic hairs, I'll leave them bare bones for easier skoping use.

Ok, so, quickie update before I either watch some dbz or go to bed (still undecided) admittedly been in burnout type 4(type 1='NEVER SKINNING/MESHING AGAIN(maybe)!' type 2='I'm so sick of this project but I feel obligated to do it before anything else so I just won't do anything ' type 3 ='general overload of attempted projects' and type 4='I should probably skin/mesh... OH A VIDJAMAGAME!!!!!11') but I'm better now, I guess. I just switched over to windows 7 this week, which is definately a good thing for my meshing capabilities... it still won't open max 5 directly, but through their 'windows xp mode' thing I'm running more or less like I would be on certain earlier, better OSes.

As for what that means for everyone else... I spent some serious time today on Female_Amazon_TM, I should have it done fairly soon, maybe even this weekend if I'm not playing CO too much. Male stocky and football will probably be uploaded to NPI at about the same time. Suit/Two-Face will take some time, simply due to the skins

I've decided to make my "Amazon" rendition a bit more like AA's recent Starfire, so that it'll be built more like She-Hulk than Eve. As such, I've gone ahead and made my base female mesh what I consider 'basic,' as well as made some minor updates to the UV map(mostly around the face). Feel free to comment on it, I have no illusions about having perfect judgement, so let me know what you think.

@TUE: She should be about as tall as female basic. Thing is, it's so easy to change the "height" via nifskope (by adjusting the size of the handle node) that I normally leave the scale alone in max. In the end, if only the handle node is mucked with, it doesn't cause as many problems when you move over extras.

@AA: Here's the new wireframe for you

For those few of you I sent the unedited version, you'll notice a few additions too. As to what they're for, well... let's just say I do listen to some of what's said in the body type tread.

I'm curious, on the wiremap, what are the pieces underneath the arm on the left side?

Will you be releasing a base skin with these, like with your male meshes?

Kind of... I had an issue where the feet were behind the main body whenever I used most keyframes, so I adjusted the body to compensate. *shrug* it's an easy fix to go the other way, I'll fix it sometime today... whenever I get around to it  :P.

Hi Tomato,

Happy Holidays!

I really like the new base.  I am enjoying your new TM meshes and have several skopes skins planned for them.  I am happy to see you pulling together something a bit broader than male basic as I believe this is appropriate for a number of characters.

Keep up the great work!!

Respectfully,

Are you doing new keyframes for these, too, or just doing the meshes?  I only ask because I dream of one day not having male_heavy keyframes with a male_heavy mesh.  :)

Keep up the great work!

Meh... much as I'd like to start animating, It's something I'm fairly lost at... Like, I understand basic animation, but the animation structure FF uses confuses me.

However, when it comes to most of my male meshes, including this one, I keep them on a MB frame so as to allow maximum keyframe compatibility.

Speaking of that, however... I'd like to ask about the Heavy and Hulking varieties. Overall, how much use are each of them? What I'm getting at is, the builds I've done and can do are not too far off from MH, outside of the easily adjusted height, and it seems to me I'd be better served just using the Male Hulking frame in conjunction with MB.

But hey, I'm just a lowly mesher here, you guys tell me.

First, let me start by saying that I love this more proportionate version of Male_Heavy (if that's what it truly is).

Second, as far as Heavy or Hulking, I checked all my heroes and found that I actually use both of these meshes with about the same frequency. This includes variations like Grenadier's MHV meshes and Male_Hulking_(character) meshes. I do think that there is or should be a more structural difference for the hulking mesh rather than just a taller, thicker, wider version of male basic.

I don't like male_hulking very much because most of the characters needing that size mesh require a lot of customization to make them look right (like the Abomination) while male_heavy works fairly well for a lot of guys that do not require a lot nifskoping.  My only problem with male_heavy kfs is that goof melee_idle animation.  I have a lot of problems with the male_heavy animations (such as throwing a punch with the same side hand while stepping with the same side foot).  Aargh!

I wish I could find a copy of the software, because I'd love to animate.

Er... Xenolith, maybe I'm mis-hearing you, but what I'm getting is that you think I should ignore Hulking because it needs more attention from skopers and meshers, but I should adjust Heavy because it's fine how it is. That's a bit... backwards, methinks.

In any case... go check out npi. Something new (http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/5222/thbsemalesuittm.jpg) might be up.

I meant that Male_hulking characters will generally fare better with their own mesh, while skoping works fairly well for male_heavy characters.  So, having a nice male_heavy base mesh is a really good idea, but a male_hulking may not be that useful.  I dunno, that just my impression of the situation.

Tomato, I too think you should forego any male_hulking meshes.
For the most part Renegade's Hulk has replaced male_hulking among skopers - personally I only have a few male_hulking base characters - Abomination, Ulik, BiBeast, and Rhino,  all others I've transferred to Ren's Hulk or a male_heavy base.
Grenadier made one or two male_hulking keyframes sets, and IPS had only released a few alternate idles.

Male_heavy has much more diversity in keyframes, from Beast to Darkseid, even Texas Jack's Mister Monster, Hellboy, and Goon.

In all honesty, were I to do either a Hulking or a Heavy, I'd be making some modifications like those of Ren's Hulk... not the mouth anims(leave that stuff to Ren and Vert), but the general build. My main reasoning behind going to hulking over heavy in this case has less to do with build, and more the skeleton... I recently tried doing a Male_Suit_Obese on the MB frame, and it was just too small for the kind of girth that I wanted.

I'm tracking down the max files as we speak, so I'll take a look... I'd prefer Heavy because of it's range of animations, I just worry it'll be to close to MB in terms of general proportion to be of use for body types outside the MB range.

Definitely like the color choices. Had I done it, I probably would have just done black and white like in the animated series and never thought of orange/purple. Yours screams comics Two-Face and is just a more interesting a visual. Very cool. Can't wait to the the face.

Mk, Male_Muscular_TM now uploaded to NPI. Now that I've taken a look at it though, the reason I never uploaded it before was because it wasn't exactly a project in it's own right, but a jumping off point for something else... which I'll probably work on next. Depends though, I've got a few things in mind to do, including some redesigned Originals and such.

In the meantime, if someone wants to skope up a set of MB-type keys for Two-Face, it might help me release this before the end of the universe (You know, the next Champion's update.)

Two Face is more or less done, need to double check some permissions and such but otherwise I'm all set to release now. Now if only I had access to a connection that isn't limited to my cell phone.

Meh, I should be able to upload it tomorrow after I get done with my 9 hours of sitting around doing nothing (Prior to starting class, they make everyone clean from ~0700 to 1600. I, however, am not even technically supposed to stand for more than 30 minutes, so I can't clean. But I HAVE to be there for the whole thing... I got reprimanded for not staying the whole time.)

This moment is bittersweet... Two Face is one of those meshes that's been on my "To-Do" list for so long I don't know what to do now that it's not there any more I feel a large gaping whole. The fact that it was always there for me to someday do was a constant driving force, something I could work on during days I didn't want to do anything else. And now it's done, I'm happy with it, and I don't have any other never-ending projects left on my plate (only a few transient ones)

The coin flip animation is awesome. I was wondering about the hair. I was sticking my old KB'ed Timmverse Two Face on as a variant and was going to do the hair to match but I don't know how to get it to let me split the hair color. From the hair choices I see I can only do one side and it flips it. Up above Style had done it so I was wondering if the older version was able to have more hair options?

The only suggestion I would make, is maybe to have skope-able toes in different configs.  And maybe even two and three fingered variety as well. But only if it isn't too much trouble.  A lot of the hulking characters have a limited number of digits.

M'k, firstly I wanted to settle something... Apparently the person whose avatar this is hadn't been posting because, as he told me, "in case you were keeping it a secret." Putting aside the fact that the design matches Juancho's micro design, the fact that the Deadpool skin I used to preview it was made by the avataree, and the fact that I've already teamed up with him for someone else's avatar... there's a giant M on his belt. It's not a secret!

You know what? Eff it. I was going to come out an tell you, but if you can't figure it out using common sense, you don't deserve to know. Heathens.

Just wanted to add that I've made some more creations today, but I'll leave those for Pod to preview at his own pace (trust me, it'll take more to skin them then it did to mesh). Those, along with the Bat-villainesses and the avatar mesh, are part of a series of collaborations I'm doing with several of the board's skinners. I've offered to collaborate with another person already, but just to add some fun to the mix... I have an additional offer.

In an attempt to bring back some of the life to FR, I will do mesh pieces for at least one collaboration with every skinner willing to come out of retirement/burnout and do 5 more skins. Granted, I'll still get final say as to whether I'm willing to work on a particular project, but still.

Hmm... I think so, if they're sil... no that's werewolves.

I think it depends. I mean, if we're playing by Final Fantasy rules, if the bullets are infused with healing potion, then they'd kill you.

mk, so... on one of my many many many many many many many MANY tangents outside of the world of Freedom Force, I discovered a means by which to rip meshes from KH2: Final Mix... still eh about whether I want to try porting them to FF, but for now I'm trying to at least sort them out a bit. However, I'm having a bit of an issue...

DEATH BY SORA VARIANTS! (http://i54.tinypic.com/11bovhg.png)

This is of course not even counting the 6 I can't load (Tron costumes... heh, ironic), the ones I have yet to find (Sora in his preteen clothes, etc), and the high def versions designed for use in cutscenes.

mk, so. Updated version of the mantage is up on My DA account (http://tomatoisjphansburg.deviantart.com/art/Over-9000-Sora-178495287) now, because I thought my fellow KH nerds on DA might get a kick out of my insanity. Still no Tron, but filled in much of the missing costumes.

Speaking of kingdom hearts, God apparently hates all of you. He deigned to allow the release of both Shattered Dimensions and Birth by Sleep on the same day. so yeah, my free time is now eaten alive like a drowned murs.

I expect we'll see it soon... I think they're putting out 2 more (one is a port of a cell phone game in japan, other is some bs for the 3ds) but in all honesty, they're just stretching it at this point... unlike 385/2 which was just to fill in the hole between CoM and 2, Birth by Sleep is designed to set up the next legitimate Kingdom Hearts title (as did the cell phone game thus why it's getting ported).

Edit: As far as porting them to FF... I don't know, honestly. Lion Sora probably wond just due to the fact that it would need an entirely new set of animations, which I'm not capable of at this time. If I took something like that on, it'd be for a character that can have a bit more general use... Donald for istance, could be used for Howard or Daffy relatively quickly.

Well, I'd say more than a few. I think the first level only has one character I created (compared to 5 from other members), and the second has almost as many avatars as my own characters. Of course, I don't actually have to skin most of those avatars... most are only a few years old and hardly need to be updated.

Unfortunately this might be the last for a little while... I have to take my computer apart this evening before it succeeds in giving me a seizure(one of the wires going to the laptop monitor is loose, causes the screen to flicker in and out... it's happened before, just a frickin pain to fix), then I have to pack everything up so I can be on a plane to ohio tomorrow morning.

Still, not everything is bad news. I was able to get a set of keys for this guy(again, if I need to tell you...) that I'm happy with, so yay for that.

Well... the keys are mainly by vertex (from his b69 shade mesh) but I gave him a new idle because I couldn't see randy using the other one.

Also, I don't know who this they is you speak of... after the initial release by unko and I, I'm the only one who's dealt with it.

This forum needs more villains btw. The easiest way for me to include you yokels is to have you as villains, and I think there are maybe 20 villain avs on the entire board.

No, nothing like that... one of the wires wiggles loose every few months or so on my laptop, and causes the screen to flicker in and out. I'd been putting off fixing it for over a month, but when I was trying to get randy's preview together it got so bad I gave up and fixed it. It just hurt me because I was getting ready to leave for my base, so I essentially had to fix it, run a quick check on it, then pack it up, so I cut into whatever few hours I still had to work on stuff.

Oh, that reminds me... reep, nag murs. He's got like one thing left and he's lazing about doing 20 other skins.

Sorry, my mistake Tomato. I thought you collaborated with someone making that mod.

Well if you're running low on villains, you can always even the odds with some henchmen like Randy's Sharkmen. Or you could just mind control, blackmail or cause a disagreement between the heroes to make them fight each other. But you're right, it'd be nice to have more villains around. Heh... I did collab with Unko, for the initial release and updates anyway. But a year or so back I pulled the mod out of the basement and updated it with newer hero files and such.

I'm not exactly low on villains... I've got pages of supervillain designs to pull from if I need them. But the easiest was to throw in avatars is when the storyline calls for "Generic villain b" during a larger arc. As for the sharkmen... well, let's just say that I have no shortage of minions.

Have you considered doing meshes for some avatar's arch-enemies? We could have a thread for that somewhere- people could post information/descriptions of their avatar's main enemies, and meshers and skinners could work from that, if they felt like it...

Silly, Tom. Your opinion is as important as Paris Hilton's thoughts on politics. Let's keep that in mind the next time you feel the need to open that mouth of yours. Lemme make it simpler: don't speak. Don't say another word.

The above character is called "Teknos," the avatar of a former member of Electric Freedom who I've been in contact with. He wasn't a part of the site for very long, but I felt his tech-themed avatar would fit well alongside Ink, GG, and Volt. Certain other EF members (AA, C6, DJ, etc.) who have been active more recently, particularly during or after the Gamma Patrol "era", can be more easily given a cameo in later levels.

One of the advantages to having a character who is intended to be super deformed anyway... if the legs are a wee bit stretched or shortened, no one really cares.

everyone in earlier pages have been talking about more villians. my avatar can be sent to anyone who wants him for their collection. i'm a hero but my avatar could be reskinned and re-named into a villian. call him "Dark Dad" or "Step  Dad". kooky names off the top of my head.   my avatar is the classic super strong, near-invulnerable, flying hero. also...this new batch of avatars are VERY cool. really like glich girls.

Mk, it's time for this nonsense to stop now, it has officially gotten old. Herodad, you are not the first person to bring this up (I've got half a dozen or so PMs in my inbox about the same thing) so I apologize if this response seems to come down solely on you... The only difference between you and them is that you outright posted it instead of hiding behind the almighty "PM".

I am going to be completely and brutally honest right now: The behavior you guys have shown is disgusting to me, and it's the primary reason that I have not responded to a majority of the PMs I've gotten on this, even just with a polite no. The selfishness implicit in the "requests" to be in my mod is glaring... they are all variations of "This is my avatar, This is where you can DL him (where applicable), and this is why I deserve to be in your mod."

Let me make this clear: I, and I alone, decide who goes into my mod. The overall story is about MY characters, and their struggles and growth. I could choose to make my own villains and just limit the mod to those characters. But because of my love for this community, I CHOOSE to use avatars where I can.

That said, I did ask if anyone knew any villain avatars in the community that I could slip in, and I am happy with the response (I honestly did not even think about chars like DJ when I asked it). But I find it irritating that people are now sending me PMs for no better reason then to tell me their avatar is a villain, or changing their av's mentality just to be in a mod... that was not and is not my intent. Villains are easier to slip in, certainly, but I am not going to only ever use villains... of the characters to cameo/appear in the first two levels (the only levels to include cameos in the first arc, for storyline reasons), I believe it's about a 2:1 ratio of heroes to villains. Outside of Freedom Corp and Gamma Patrol, which will be included heavily in later arcs, I currently have plans for an entirely new team of heroes from the community making repeated appearances, and I haven't really nailed down who exactly I want to be in it yet.

That said, I don't want that to be the new topic of PMs either. In fact, I'll make it simple: From now on, anyone who tries to bully their way into the mod here, in the mod board, or via PM, won't be put in the mod even if I was actually going to put them in(and I won't even tell you either... I'll just put you on a list). If you REALLY want to be a part of my mod, then prove you deserve to be. And let me tell you, begging me via PM is not very deserving.

I would hardly saying someone asking if you could include their avatar in your mod as a villain or otherwise meets "bullying". If anything it comes from a very honest place and people are excited and have interest in your mod. You could have easily said something like:

"Hey guys, I've already decided who is going to be in my mod. I'm excited that you guys want to be a part of this mod but the plot has already been planned out."

HD1, I think you are being very polite about this response. A+ communal effort.
Title: Re: Tomato's Meshes: Staff Chucks For Christmas (12/24/10)
Post by: Tomato on December 27, 2010, 02:38:25 AM
I agree. But as I said, Herodad was not the only one... It seems like I've been getting PMs like this every other day recently, some far less respectful then Herodad's post ("Hey, this is where my avatar skin is. Go DL it" -my paraphrasing of several I've received). The only thing truly different about herodad's was that it came right when I was on the verge of posting something anyway.

So yeah, HD1, if you feel like I was coming down on you... don't. It's not on you, and if it seems that way I do apologize. One of the downsides of PMs is that while I look at it in terms of all the other messages I've gotten, the only one everyone else saw was yours.

As far as bringing in other avatars goes, nothing is really planned. I'm doing this in 5 level chunks, and while the first chunk is planned and I have a rough idea of the "endgame" for the next few chunks (2nd episode is Red Ant, 3rd is time travel+antiverse, etc.), everything in the middle is fairly open for avatar whoring. I just want people to do it the right way... I see a lot of people pushing themselves, but not a whole lot of people saying "Oh, Syn might make for a good but creepy level" or "A parody of the zombie obsession in comics with DJ might be hilarious." THAT is probably the most frustrating thing for me, honestly. I know we're better than that.

I can understand where ye coming from 'Matter, and if I've come off as sounding like such I didn't mean too just wanted to offer up some help in anyway possible without forcing my own character on you. In fact, I'd be cool if you didn't use my character anyways becuase the mod is about honouring the community not single individuals.  As for bringing up ideas for missions, I had no idea you were looking for such...I might have a few ideas once I have a few glasses of vodka and let my mind slip awa..we'll see.  :)

Also, I want it noted that I am very vexed with TUE right now... it wasn't until he infected me with his crazy that I would have even CONSIDERED buying anything MOTU related, but yesterday I broke down and shelled out nearly $30 for my first legitimate motu purchase... To be fair though, the one I bought was a Battleground Evil Lynn (http://www.itsalltrue.net/?p=16337), and that thing is gorgeous.

still missing part of the harness (crossbones portion) and eventually I'll get around to his staff, but it's coming along. You'll notice I decided to make the clawed feet attach to the other ones... I figure this way TUE can reuse them on other meshes if he so chooses.

It bloody well SHOULD be, I had to do it twice. I had it done almost perfectly, and then Max crashed. Upside though is that I had it more or less down to a science the second time.

And now for something completely different.

Mk, so some of you might remember that I made mention of a certain thing derailing my CSA skins? Yeah, this might shock you all, but it wasn't talking about MOTU. Trying to finish up the mesh of the battery now.

Now, this IS on the Ren GL keyframes like the power rings were, but unlike those this one will not have auras or the floating logo... based upon my (admittedly limited) research, Alan doesn't have an aura during flight like the GLC does, and is more commonly depicted with green flames. And because adding FX would be too much work (I'd have to figure out a way to get them to work during the GL flight animations, I'd have to set the whole thing up twice because you jerks would want FF and FFv3R versions, and I'm not the only party involved who has to skin this beach) you'll all just have to live with a new ring, new battery, and new base mesh. I know you're all devastated by that, but I'm sure you'll learn to live with it.

Anyway, as I said, this is one part of the something I'm working on setting up, there's one other that IS skoped and ready, but since it's just a skope I'm just going to hold off until all interested parties are ready.

Edit: Close up of the ring

i hate to be that dude Tomato, but i guess it's just my southpaw pride.... alan's wearing his ring on the wrong hand.
otherwise, the details on the ring are amazing! i also like the details on the mesh,  like the puffysleeves and little ponch too.

So is Sinestro, but there's nothing I can really do about it... I make the pieces, but it's Ren's animations.

BTW, I've gone ahead and added a different FX to the ring as well... I was gonna use the same one as the other GL/PR skins, but given the shape of the ring I instead opted to use the same type as the battery.

So I won't rehash here why I've been more or less absent lately (long story short, I've been hanging out with mah bronies) but after seeing TUE's He-Man, I got motivated enough to finish off the mesh of Skeletor itself.

Still haven't done the staff, but honestly... I'm not motivated enough at the moment to mesh it. If I can find one somebody else made free for use, or something I can get permission for, I might go that route, but unfortunately I just don't care enough about ff stuff atm.

TUE, expect a PM shortly.

For those not following my tumblr (shame on u) I'm down to the last few icons for the project I've been busy with, so I might start coming back to ff stuff soonish. I dunno how much I'm ready to do though, I'm still feeling burned out... but we'll see. At the very least, I have some ideas for tweeking my female meshes.

Starting to get some work done on Female_Basic_TM_v2

comparison to V1
(http://i.imgur.com/UDduZ.png)
some side shots

Updates so far:

-More natural looking chest
-Narrower shoulders and arms (might go back and add some muscle back in, they're almost too twig-like now)
-longer, more natural ab area
-better breasts
-minor changes to the head shape (it's kind of impossible to see given my base, but I generally tried to make the face less round. I'll try to show it in a later update)

Still working on:
-As mentioned above, tweeks to her arms
-Going to experiment with her hands, try to make them longer without making the animations look unnatural.
-major adjustments to the collarbone/shoulder area
-gonna make some changes to the ab area, the front side looks a bit too flat.
-I want to play with her ankles a bit... the size of the feet are ok, but I feel like those ankles would never support a real human being.

Feel free to make your own suggestions here, I'm trying to make this the best basic female mesh I can.

Still fiddling with it. Ignore the ab area for the moment (I made some changes that looked good in max, but look meh in Ctool) but this should give you a preview of the fixed shoulders, arms, and legs (as well as an early preview of the face, which I'm going to be going back and tweaking when I do the rest.)

Well, after getting everyone's hopes up, I'm apparently going on hiatus from FF/any Digital work/ponymon/etc. for a week or so.

No, don't freak out, I'll still be online and bsing around, it's just that I won't be actually doing anything really "constructive" for a bit. See, I'm about to do some serious updates to my laptop (including a new HD), so there's no sense making MORE dren to transfer over.

I have some interesting plans for the next few weeks, however. Along with the upcoming release of several of my FF meshes by TUE, and my own release of White Lantern Deadman (I haven't forgotten), the major update to my female basic mesh is being done with something... or rather someone particular in mind.

Fun fact on that... Technically, the mirror/evil universe has never ACTUALLY been Earth 2... if you read the book, because Lex is the one who actually discovered the JLA's world, he names our/the JLA's earth "Earth 2," meaning the CSA's universe is actually "Earth 1." It's never actually been called Earth 2, but because that's the name of the book, everyone uses that designation.

Personally, I prefer "Earth 3." It avoids confusion with the pre-crisis and post-n52 earth 2/JSA universe.

BTW, for the uninitiated, this is J'edd J'arkus, evil counterpart of Martian Manhunter who died 5 minutes into the "Crisis on Two Earths" animated movie.

I have internet again.

Not that it really matters other than for my own curiosity, but if I remember correctly, you used the existing Male_4_Arms mesh (Or whatever it was called) as a base for J'edd J'arkus. Did you customize the animations so that the cape works properly, or is the cape going to be a static piece? Also, I just have to say that the head looks really smooth on there, it doesn't look like a separate piece at all.
Title: Re: Tomato's Meshes: Mirror Mirror time again! (05/25/13)
Post by: Tomato on May 30, 2013, 08:45:08 PM
No, I had to keep the cape as a static piece. I did adjust it so it doesn't clip that much (the feet clip a bit on the flight animation, but only slightly) but there's no way of animating the cape without leaving the second arms as a static piece.

Anyway, on the female mesh... I'll look into it. I DID design it to work with the female_basic keyframes, but I'll see if I can't make a version that works on MB keys as well.
Title: Re: Tomato's Meshes: Mirror Mirror time again! (05/25/13)
Post by: Cyber Burn on May 30, 2013, 11:25:07 PM
Yeah, I think I would rather see animated arms than an animated cape.

That would be pretty cool to have another Female_Basic type mesh to work with when skoping, at least for a lower tier skoper like myself anyway.

Post by: Tomato on May 30, 2013, 11:59:17 PM
So, I looked into the male_basic thing... I'd have to completely restructure the mesh in order to make it work. It'd honestly be easier just to make a new mesh designed for male_basic keys then to modify this one. Sorry  :(.

I think I like the neck of the old version, but otherwise, the shoulders look better, more smooth, on the newer model, and the thighs look better thinner. Also, the waistline looks more realistic on the newer model. Is there a height difference or is it just the way they are lined up?

Just how things are lined up. If anything, the new mesh is taller, since I adjusted the head to sit slightly further up.
