Title: Slumdog Millionaire

Anyone seen this? I thought it was a good little movie, but I am AMAZED about the amount of undeserved Academy Award hype surrounding it.

I wouldent consider it entirely undeserved, the movie is quite proficient and has a genuine heart to it, especially compared to the mostly unspectacular year it has been. Yeah, there is a lot of talk about Dark Knight but seriosly it was not oscar worthy. The Wrestler was great but it felt too much like a movie festival prize bait. Benjamin Button starts really great and loses steam constantly except for one minor blip of emotional knife twisting at the end.

I dunno, maybe Slumdog has been overhyped which I would not know since I've missed all the hype (I dont really watch TV) but it is really a singular movie by both indian and western standards.
