Figured I would put this here since it seemed like the best place.. Since I'm mostly a writer/storyboard person in the skills territory. My art skills are extremely rusty and the life model classes I took in college were nothing short of Rob Liefeld trainwreck levels. I just never seemed to figure out the whole skeleton/muscle layer thing mixed with the head proportions. Everything just seemed like my brain just took that left turn in Albuquerque on it's way into Toon town. Everything looked like I was just designing for shows like Batman The Animated Series or Ren & Stimpy. Not really giving me much confidence when my art teacher was just giving me eye rolls and telling me that I needed to study anatomy art books and fill up sketch books like I was needing to be a police sketch artist just to pass his class.
For example... And this was me trying a more anime style like 10 years after I left college..

Sooo... after a looooong time dodging teaching myself from scratch at my own autistic visual learning rate. I found this great French pinup artist on DeviantArt by the name of Deuza (his website is Deuza's Deviant Page (https://www.deviantart.com/deuza-art/gallery/58601704/featured) and his Facebook is here (https://www.facebook.com/deuza.dessin/) ) - his style just clicked with me. So I have been using some of his online classes to sloooooowly rebuild my basics and work my way up from there. I guess my 55 year old retired brain might be able to pick up some new tricks.. maybe?
I'm just creating this thread to just show myself and anyone else who might be curious.. My art journey that I'm starting this Spring/Summer.
This is a sample of DEUZA's art.. (above is my poor art and below is good art by Deuza.. not trying to post his work as anything but what I'm aiming to learn) *cough* anyway.. Pretty sure there is a long way to go from my "MEH!" Undedgurl sketch to anything that Deuza has done. But cheers *holds up mug* to my journey to learn.. *thumbsup*
