Howdy Bearded, as far as I know, there is a hard limit on characters. I have had to use short names as my default for just such an issue.
I just summarize the group and put the short name
This is how I name them ingame.
X-Men Cyclops = xmn_cyclops
Justice League Batman = jl_batman
