So members of the discord have seen this, but I realized I haven't posted anything about it in ages. Lss, I more or less lost contact with my go-to customizer (tho they seem to be making mass market figures so good for them), so I've sort of quietly been doing my own customs. Only 2 so far, though I do have more planned.
To get it out of the way, as I said on discord: I am open to adding other avatars to my to do list, and there are certainly cases to be made for a lot of people. However, these are purely in-between projects, when/if I do them and when I don't is purely arbitrary. I also have 3 more on my current to-do list, and I am doing all 3 before I do anyone else regardless.
We got that? We good? Cool. If you'd still like to ask about adding yourself or another member, please do so via discord (since I dont know how much space my pm box has and I'm not as likely to check it). https://discord.gg/jMUPfCMv

(Also, to knock it out, Daglob, Figure Fan, and Podmark are on my to-do list already.)
I've always been impressed with these. I've dabbled in customs but not this level. I really like the Benton custom, the blue really shines.
Really nice work on your customs, Tomato!
Best,
Dana
So,in fairness (for those who don't remember) the only two so far that I have personally done so far are DJ and Nyte Dragon. I just bought all I should need for Daglob, and I have a game plan in place for FF.

Mostly finished with my Daglob custom figure. His right hand is still drying (and will be for a while, the pink spray paint I used takes forever to fully dry) but in the meantime, it's being guarded by another recent addition: Catwhowalksbyhimself.

*deep breath*
So. Real talk. Figure Fan has been on my to-do list for a bit, I've been working on getting everything together for him for a while, and I went out today to very specifically get paint that would match that very specific teal color I think of when I see this character. The paint I got (Citadel Ahriman Blue (https://www.warhammer.com/en-US/shop/Layer-Ahriman-Blue-2019)) was really good, covered the black decently with only a couple coats, and I am super proud of the result.
My phone *refuses* to photograph it properly. I have issues with my phone not really photographing properly in general, but it's usually a case where I have to shift stuff to be more blue and less yellow: NOT WITH THIS FIGURE. I have color changing bulbs in my room, I put this thing in PURE YELLOW light to where it looked GREEN in person and my phone STILL color corrected it back to Blue. I do not understand it.
So. I have photoshopped this photo, plus the reveal photo I posted in discord, to match the color I see with my own eyes. I do not intend to do that going forward, so if I post photos later and Figure Fan looks like a Smurf, it's just my phone camera being weirdo, I do not understand it.
(In somewhat fairness to the camera, I'm only shifting the hue over like, 5 degrees. But with that blue/teal/green area, that's a lot)
