Although I wasn't a fan of everything he did, I think it's unquestionable that the man was a genius.  I will forever, unapologetically love his Dune for the wonderfully weird, insane film that it is.  I imagine that will always be my favorite version.

With Sting in it, how could you go wrong?

I liked a lot The Elephant Man.

The Elephant Man is my favorite of his too. I have watched the entirety of Twin Peaks and pretty much every movie he ever made and yeah The Elephant Man is so intimate and well crafted. And I went back and watched that after his death was announced and I still bawled even though I have seen it many times.
