I've been thinking about doing some of these for awhile and finally got a round to doing one.
This project came about from;
1) Walking into a comic store and seeing some of those great statues for various characters they had
2) Seeing some of the stl's that you can download and then 3D print to make your own statues, where you do the painting
3) Talking awhile back about how it would be fun to 3D print some of the Freedom Force characters and then paint them up to have on your shelf.
4) seeing the similar work done on Ren's old site, Dirk Thorazine, and by Style, both then and recently. Probably others did some as well.
The problem I had with all of that is the statues in the store are kind of pricey, the stls can be pricey as well, plus I don't have a 3D printer and from experience I know that I'm terrible at painting anyway.
So I thought, why not make some Digital Dioramas using game resources? We have tons of characters to choose from, they're already skinned and with them being rigged you could pose them however you wanted to.
So from all the choices out there to do, I picked DC's "All Star Comics #3", the first appearance of the JSA.
I grabbed a copy of the cover and then went thru my archives looking to see what was available to work with.
Things were going well at first until I realized that more than one of the characters was using a "male_basic" skin so they were appearing with the same skin, so I had to edit the nif and rename the skins so they wouldn't look the same.
I found a wooden chair and a table on the "models resource" site that seemed to fit, and a sign from the game to use for the background.
All in all, what I feel were a few good hours spent in Blender bringing the nifs in and posing them to fit with the cover.
From left to right;
The Atom - GA1 by Ren with standard skin by C6
The Sandman - Sandman Classic by Kennx with skin by him as well
The Spectre - male_basic_cape_pointed_hood mesh created by The Beyonder, skin by C6
The Flash - Flash GA 69 with skin by Lightning Man
Hawkman - Hawkman by Beyonder with skin by Firestorm
Dr Fate - Dr Fate Classic VX with skin by Avalon
Green Lantern - Green Lantern GA 2 Ken by Keen X with skin by Kenn X
Hourman - Hourman GA Ren with skin by skin by C6
The table is a rip from the PC game "Bioshock 2", the chair is from a mobile game "Gregory Horror Show Lost Qualia", and the comic cover background is pasted on a standard FF sign.
I'll probably do some more now and then.
IF anybody wants to add to the project that would be great. Try to keep it to classic comic book covers, movie posters, or iconic scenes from the comics, books, tv or movies.
So, below is the original cover and my game version so you can compare. What's also neat about the game version is you can now rotate in any angle for different views of the scene

This is AWESOME!!!! Many years ago, I made some pics for myself based on comic age. I think this is a fun project that our friend daglob would have absolutely loved.
As an aside, I skoped a Dr. Fate with no gloves awhile ago if you would like to have it for completeness.
Great !!! This is fun !!
Thanks guys. The Dr Fate with no gloves would match the picture better. Send away!
Not sure what to do next...maybe action comics #1 where everything started?
Hey, WyldeFyre...as another aside, I keep having to look up your museum. Things would be so much easier if the link was in your signature somewhere.
Sent and fixed signature. :)
Yay! Thanks for both Wyldfyre!
Finished with the updates. Replaced Dr Fate with Wyldfyre's scope, adjusted the Flash's arm a bit, and tilted the entire set so that the backboard is straight up but everything else is tilted down. It would be easy to change that to help in the event anyone ever tries to 3D print the entire thing - rotating the table and everyone flat and then adjusting the backboard straight up again.
For now, it was sent out as just one large nif. Setting it up as a lot of component parts for objs or stls would take a bit of doing since most of the characters have multiple pieces to them
You're only allowed one armature on output, so in the end I deleted them all, and some no longer even have vertex groups to them anymore - not that they're needed since that's not the point of the project.
If you want to go in and change the outfits around with other versions, you'll have to rename the alternate costumes to match the changes I made.
Is anyone interested in having this? I can upload it if so
Zoomed in picture below showing a little more detail and the adjustments.
Edit - had to remove Green Lantern's puffy sleeves since I messed them up - one arm is below the table anyway so I don't think it's a big change. You can see it in the pic out of place on the right arm above the table. Removed in the final nif. The capes going thru the chairs is a bit annoying also, but would take a lot of work to fix, unless we just lower the back of the chair.
(https://i.postimg.cc/br7GYY6k/jsa3.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)
I think I've decided on the next project - it should be a little easier since it has fewer parts to it and I've got a little experience now. I had some fun with this so we'll see how far it goes. I think for anyone else to try, you'd need Blender or some other 3D art program beyond nifskope to work with the characters
I think these homages are a wonderful idea. I'd download them.
Thanks WyldFyre.
I just posted it in a new folder on the megasite called "Dioramas"
Doing a little work getting another one setup. Trying to pick a good cover and the heroes to use with it
Hints;
1) A comic superhero group
2) Not DC or Marvel (well, not at first, but they were DC for a bit)
Threw together a quick one. If I don't get it released tomorrow, it might be a couple of weeks.
Since no one took a guess the answer is "The Mighty Crusaders" from Radio/ Archie comics, though DC had it for a little while.
The original comic cover - (https://d1466nnw0ex81e.cloudfront.net/n_iv/600/5876621.jpg)
And the digital version - normal pic and closeup.
Top Row - Fly Girl from Daglob, The Web and The Comet from Copper Age
Bottom Row - The Black Hood from Daglob, The Shield and The Jaguar from Copper Age.

(https://i.postimg.cc/kX6Jv8m2/crusaders2.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)
I must confess, I wasn't even thinking of the MLJ characters for these dioramas.
Good job!
Luckily a few members back in the day went out and did almost all of the MLJ characters. Mainly Copper, but Tommy Troy and Daglob also. DJ did a few after we lost Daglob as a kind of tribute to him I think
Besides Marvel and DC, I'm looking at doing some more uncommon subjects. I'll get another one out after I get home next week or later.
Uploaded into the new Digital Diorama folder with the JSA one
We've moved the start of our vacation back a day to Wednesday which gives me an extra day to work with these a bit more
Updated the Mighty Crusaders DD with a better backdrop
(https://i.postimg.cc/0QhrXDXC/Crusaders3.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)
And another new one that I think came out looking good. I think with each one I'm learning a bit more to make them better.
Hi Ho Silver! Its the Lone Ranger and Tonto!
Base pic use to build from - A fine art print by Michael Frank -
(https://render.fineartamerica.com/images/rendered/default/print/8/6.5/break/images-medium-5/lone-ranger-and-tonto-ride-again-michael-frank.jpg)
Final Diorama - a few different views. The pic with the logo on the base is the final.
Backdrop - a digital print from Amazon of "Joshua Tree National Park"
Rocks - the main rock is from a desert rock pack on sketchfab from Yadrogames. The rest are from the main Freedom Force game. Retextured with a rock texture found on the web
The following are all from the PC game "Empire Earth 3" - the ground texture, the scrub grass is from a wheat field lowered into the ground and snipped, and the bushes are a maple tree lowered into the ground and snipped
The Lone Ranger and Tonto are by SCD. I tried to add a little extra hair on the back of Tonto's head to make it fuller, pulled the nose out a little bit, and removed the feathers.
The horses Silver and Scout are from Tommyboy's Rawhide Kid. Silver's texture is from Zulu Delta. Scout's texture is a basic brown from Tommyboy, kitbashed by me. It looks like Scout was played by a few horses with different markings, so I kind of merged them into one.
Silver's Saddle is just a simple black texture, so no highlights on it. It could probably use a better skin. Both set of reins could use some texturing as well.
The base is the cereal box I used on Quisp, retextured with the Lone Ranger Logo
The updated Mighty Crusaders and the Lone Ranger DD are both posted on the megasite.

(https://i.postimg.cc/254vPzBW/ranger3.jpg) (https://postimages.org/)
Loving the way these are coming out. The Lone Ranger looks like it could have been a school project or a collector's item for sending in 5 boxtops.
Great work on all of them!
Thanks Wyldfyre. Back in the day when you went with your mom to pick out your metal Aladdin Lunchbox with the thermos inside. I still remember I had that great "Lost in Space" one.
I think while the Lone Ranger could be 3d printed and painted, it would have to broken up into a few pieces and put back together again. It might be cool to actually see it in the real world.. Or the other ones as well.
There are much higher poly models out now than there were when Freedom Force first came out and fans started making meshes and skins for it.
But I still love the 60's Saturday Morning Cartoons feel to it, and I think that's what they wanted even back then, considering that's the era it was set in. I think Jack Kirby would have enjoyed this game a lot.
Where possible I'm going to try to keep that feel to the Dioramas coming out, and with so many great skins and meshes to work with, that part shouldn't be hard to do.
Thanks again to all that that have contributed to this great game.
I had almost finished up another one before I went on vacation. Wrapping it up and posting it soon.
Edit - posted and ready for download
Marvel's Liberty Legion, from Marvel Premiere #29 and #30 (1976).
In WW2, after the Red Skull captured and brainwashed the Invaders, Bucky escaped and assembled the Liberty Legion to free them. While the Invaders mainly fought overseas in Europe, the Liberty Legion dealt with more domestic threats back in the USA.
I remember buying these and reading the story line back when they came out. Written by Roy Thomas, I liked it back then and liked working on the Diorama for it.
Left to right -
1) The Thin Man by Dark Jared on male_thin by Kraven
2) Whizzer - skin and mesh by Zivon23
3) Red Raven - skin by C6 and mesh by Gren
4) Bucky - skin by John Jr on his own mesh, but moved onto Gren's mesh. Minor kitbash to match the hairline from the hair piece.
5) Ms America - skin and mesh by Flash 22798. I had problems with the mesh so I had to move it onto one of Ink's meshes that he had based it on.
6) Patriot - skin on his own mesh. Both by unknown
7) Blue Diamond - skin by the skindex CSN (Dark Jared?) on male_basic
8) Jack Frost - skin by Vigilante on male_basic
Original cover from the comic. Remake from the cover, an old newspaper headline found on the web, and a white starburst I made in Blender

Very cool, RD! They look great!
Liberty Legion looks fantastic! I really like how these are turning out!
Thanks guys on the Liberty Legion comments.
I'll be releasing the characters that go with the next diorama soon, and the diorama itself, when I finish putting the zips together and posting them.
But for now, the diorama itself is done!
When the citizens of the city of Good Haven are in trouble, the call goes out for the Mighty Heroes!
Strong Man! Cuckoo Man! Tornado Man! Rope Man! Diaper Man!
When Terrytoons, the studio that created Mighty Mouse, Heckle and Jeckle, and Tom Terrific, was trying to sell some projects to CBS in the 60's, who had already bought the entire studio already, things weren't going well and CBS was getting ready to leave without approving anything.
Then Ralph Bakshi who was there just to set things up, spoke up from the back and said he had an idea. He basically created the Mighty Heroes right there. CBS approved it and it would air the fall of '66 with Mighty Mouse. Bakshi would go to become a well known name in animation, both TV and the movies.
This was a lost cartoon from my childhood until the web took shape and I was able to find some info and shorts for it online. There seems to be just one high-quality episode on youtube. Various streaming services have some other high - quality episodes, but not all, and no DVD has been released (or of most of Terrytoons other shows as well.)

The original models were stl files for 3d printing by Eul, who's done tons of classic characters, does great work, but charges way to much money for them in my opinion. Most of the characters are old enough that the copyrights "might" be expired, but I don't know. He's from Brazil and may not worry sbout it. In many cases, I can find free versions of his work, but I wound up buying these.
Strong Man - Rigged to male_heavy_no face. The stl file pose was hard to work with, so I dropped the arms, hands and some of the chest from it and used the ones from the nif model.
Cuckoo Man - Rigged to Beyonder's Vulture. I wanted the flapping arms for flying that Cuckoo man uses, and this is one of the few that had it.
Tornado Man - Rigged to one of Tommyboy's Red Tornado characters. Comes with the tornado left and right arm attacks, and the tornado covering the character for flying and hovering actions.
Rope Man - Rigged to Windbown's Plastic Woman, so I could have the stretching attacks. A rope net fx would be great for him if there's one out there.
Diaper Man - Rigged to one of the male_basics - not sure which one now. The stl head went onto a baby model I found on the rigmodels site.
All came out fairly well, but due to the extreme cartoon bodies, I had to take some shortcuts on the rigging. There's also versions I've seen with differences to their costume and hair color.
Things I didn't get done - 1) due to the simple textures used with the stls, I couldn't get Diaper Man's freckles or Cuckoo Man's mustache on their skins.
2) Diaper Man's weapon of choice is his bottle. I'll be including a nif for it on
release if someone can make an fx out of it.
3) Due to the positioning of the character in the stl file, I had to take an arm
or leg in some cases and split it off, work with it, and then copy and mirror it
to make the matching limb. This turns the mirrored limb inside out which has to be
corrected, and while it looks good on export, it makes the nif look small in the
viewer, and errors out Blender on re-import. I have to keep the Blend files if I
want to work with the nif some more.
Comments very welcome, as always.
Go, Cuckoo Man, Go!
The Mighty Heroes Diorama has been completed and uploaded.
I remember Mighty Mouse but not these guys. Until I read your post I had never heard of them. After watching the intro, I looked up a few videos. I wish I had seen them originally.
The scene looks fantastic. You obviously put a great deal of work into these meshes. Fantastic job!
I really love these dioramas. I hope you keep them coming.
Thanks WyldFyre.
You might also want to check out the "Super 6" cartoons if you haven't heard of them. They came out the same year as "The Mighty Heroes." There are some episodes on youtube of good quality since the show did get a DVD release.
They were created by the Depatie-Freleng studio. Fritz Freleng was an animator for WB's classic Loony Tunes cartoons and started his own studio after they shut down. Their most famous cartoons were the Pink Panther shorts and the various other characters that appeared with him.
"The Super 6" was the studios first made for TV show. The theme song was sung by Gary Lewis, Jerry Lewis's son, who had a rock group at the time.
The Super 6 were;
Super Bwoing - The apprentice superhero who rode his guitar like the Silver Surfer on his board. Sounded like Jimmy Stewart.
Super Scuba - Aquaman like character who sounded like Dean Martin
Elevator Man - Antman/ Giantman like character
Magneto Man - Magnetic Powers
Granite Man - Tough character made out of stone.
Captian Zammo - Could travel through time.
I's love to see Super Bwoing in game as he was my favorite.
A video of the Mighty Heroes in action in FFvt3R. Since a team can only have 4 members, I put Strong Man in as a powerless enemy.
I buy this comic recently haha! I didn't know the Mighty Heroes.

A new Diorama - Everything's Archie!
I've been wanting to do some of the Archie gang for a while, but there's not a lot out there in 3d models for the characters, so I wound up working up some of my own.
History lesson for those not familiar with the characters. Warning - Lots of reading ahead.
MLJ comics started in 1939 and did mainly superheroes comics. Their main characters were the one that were part of the "Mighty Crusaders" and "The Shield" was the on the cover of "Pep" comics for its first few years.
In the early 1940's, the market of superheroes dropped. Many companies went out of business, including Timely, the predecessor to Marvel. Dc dropped a lot of their titles and many surviving companies move on to comedy titles.
The actor Mickey Rooney was doing a bunch of movies about "Andy Hardy", a typical girl crazy teenager and his problems in school and with girls. MLJ thought they could cash in the popularity of the movies and in 1941 created "Archie",a typical girl crazy teenager and his problems in school and with girls.
Sales were so good with Archie stories that the company changed its name to "Archie Comics" and had over a dozen titles in print during the Silver and Bronze age when they were at their height of popularity.
Besides Archie and friends, the company also had series for Sabrina the Teenage Witch and "She's Josie", at first, and then "Josie and the Pussycats" later.
While the comics are now mainly just digests of older work in the grocery store, shows on the characters, changed a bit, are still on the air today.
When the moms got mad at "weirdo superheroes" on Saturday morning in the 60's, the animation studios swapped to comedy. Hanna Barbera went from "the Herculoids" and "Mightor" to "Wacky Races" and "Scooby Doo"
Filmation, which had done Superman, Aquaman, Batman, and some other DC heroes, had had plans for more DC goodness, but that got canned with the swift in focus.
They were able to get the rights to make "The Archie Show", "Sabrina the Teenage Witch", and the "Groovy Goolies", plus some spinoff shows for a few years.
Each Archie show had two stories with a song in the middle. One song, "Sugar, Sugar" was so popular it went Gold and was a number #1 hit on the charts in the USA, Canada, and England for multiple weeks.
Hanna Barbera liked what they saw and was able to grab "Josie and the Pussycats" for their own studio, which had major repercussions at the time since Valerie was one of the first non-white characters in Saturday Morning cartoons.
Over the years, there's been a few shows based on the license, including some big hits like "Riverdale", "Sabrina", and "Katy Kean"
End of history lesson.
The characters -
Archie - skin by Atomic Robot on the Civilian_boy2 mesh
The next 3 are all skopes and kitbashes of existing work. They were created to look like their characters from the the 1960's cartoon show. Someone with more talent should reskin them... I did the best I could, but they're faces are off of standard FF skins.
Jughead - Daglob had done the superhero version of Jughead, Captain Hero, on a mesh made for him by Yellow Lantern. I removed the cape, thinned the body, added a vest from one of my Sim3 imports, and did a simple flat, cartoon kitcabash of DG's skin.
Added a burger for Jughead from my Scooby Doo Shaggy import because, well, Jughead needs a burger!
Veronica - skope of female_amazon_teen hair onto John Junior's female_teen_girlfriend, with some more skoping to remove some pieces that didn't fit. Simple flat, cartoon kitbash for her skin.
Betty - skope of female_teen_ponytail onto John Junior's female_teen_girlfriend, with some more skoping to remove some pieces that didn't fit. Simple flat, cartoon kitbash for her skin.
Archie's Jalopy - found in a model pack of vehicles on the rigmodels site. Removed the car roof and some extra items, and changed the skin a little bit to remove some yellow on the running boards. Added transparency to the front window - which surprisingly works in FF
I'm wrapping these up and they'll be in the "classic cartoons folder, and the diorama and the folder with the others.

Hehehe the Archies!!
Funny enough, Archie was so popular he also got a radio series. There are episodes replayed occasionally on Radio Classics on Sirius XM. I "think" they may also sell some of the old episodes on radiospirits.com.
Another great diorama. Although never a huge fan of the Archie comics, I read several back in the day when my mom would buy them for me at the local drug store. She knew I loved comics, but sometimes forgot I preferred the super-heroes.
Great job on this one!
Going back to mainstream superheroes.
I've always liked Silver Age and Bronze Age comics more than any other time - that's when I was a teen and actively reading them. And I've always like Marvel more than DC
While probably not my first Marvel comic, Thor has always been my favorite, especially the Jack Kirby era.
Thor started out in Journey Into Mystery #83, cover below.
Kirby became the main artist with #101, and stayed with it until #179. Kirby was always into grand, epic adventures, as seen by his Fantastic Four Silver Surfer/ Galactus stories, and his creation of the Eternals, and Darkseid and the New Gods for DC.
So here's a Diorama of Thor's first appearance. I think it came out pretty well, though you can't really zoom into it all the way in the viewer due to its size - you have to use Nifskope for that.
Should work for FF and FFvt3R both. Even the alpha I set up for Thor's hammer blur seems to work in both games.
Thor - Beyonder's Mighty Thor mesh with a skin by the Griffin.
Included are alternate skins by others if you want to swap to another look.
Kronans - Skin/ skope by Dean - Thanks Dean!
Scifi pistol and rifle from "The Movies" game.
Kronan's belt and holster from RedDadSteve's Quick Draw stl
Male and female civilians from the base FFvt3R game
Front 2 buildings from the Freedom Force base game.
The back 3 buildings are from the rigmodels site.
The spaceship is from a 3D printer stl of the ship from "My Favorite Marian". Created by Cerebus333
Thor's hammer blur created by me. (I'm kinda proud of that one. I don't do too much original work, even little ones.)
Created for Freedom Force by Randomdays. Uploaded to the Digital Diorama folder.

Awesome! That's a nice representation. You should be proud, very nice hammer effect.
Kudos to Dean for the Kronans!
Great effort all around. This is definitely an iconic cover.
Thor In action ! great work
These are really cool and a lot of fun.
That may be my favorite so far! That's delightful!
This diorama is beautiful! Interesting work!
(By the way, is it possible to download the Kronans anywhere? One of my projects is to do various Marvel and DC alien races.)
Thanks.
It came together pretty well - the buildings are a bit different, and the male and female civilians from the game aren't a perfect match for the cover, but overall I think its a good representation.
I had been working on doing a Kronan a while back, and Dean stepped up, as he often does.
Should be available on Dean's site. Let him or me know if it isn't
I use Freedom Force only for combats, but I have sometimes thought about making comics using the game to represent combats between characters from different universes hehe
That would be fun. I had thought of doing a FF comic based on the same Thor as above, but it would be a lot of work.
With Blender, I can set each comic panel by posing the characters to match what I want. like the dioramas above, but it would get complicated setting up the different environments to match, like the buildings above.
A cartoon could be done as well for an issue or story using cutscenes, but that would be even more complicated - Benton could probably attest to that.
For me, I think the dioramas are the best way to go with my skills - doing one specific scene that represents an iconic moment form comic or tv/ movie history.
A cross company scene could be done of course, with the resources we have.
Yes, that would be very complicated, so we will leave it for later hehe. For the moment I like to watch battles between characters from different universes, although the AI sometimes doesn't work as I would like.
These are pretty cool, RD. Nice work.
Dana
I haven't posted in a while, but here's three that I've been working on, almost finished
1) In the 70's, the Brothers Hildebrandt were doing a lot of fantasy and SF paintings, including some great calandars featuring the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. So here's a DD of their work from the Hobbit where Gandalf meets Bilbo for the first time.
The main mesh is from one found on sketchfab I think. Bilbo and Gandalf are from the models I imported earlier, and the rest are either from FF and FFvt3R or from game assets from the models resource site. I couldn't find some large Sunflowers or Bilbo's pipe to use.
Its hard to see with the character viewer, so the screenshots are from Blender.
2) From the thingiverse website, an stl model of the silver age spaceship that brought Kal-El to earth. It's almost identical to the one that brought Kara to earth in the first appearance of Supergirl from Action Comics #252, so I recolored that and used it there as well.
I don't think the Krypton exploding scene is from a specific cover, though Superman #300 is close. A side note on that is I know I have a skin for Jor-El, but has anybody ever done Lara?
Superman is Superman 1960 by Yellow Lantern, and Supergirl is by Atomic Robot - The closest I could find to her original appearance.

RD, great to see you posting, my friend!
These are delightful! I really love the Hobbit one, but they're all really cool!
Thanks Benton.
For the Hobbit, I need to add a gate to the fence.
For Supergirl, I'm looking for a good static mesh to use for the smoke behind the rocket.
As an aside on the Supergirl Action cover, I thought that the rocket being smashed on impact was wrong, as it. like Kara inside, should have been invulnerable. There was a story where Superman lost all his powers and was shot, and presumed killed, but he was only knocked out by the impact. He was wearing his costume, which came from Krypton, and was still invulnerable with the suit acting as a bullet proof body cover. I'm assuming from that, that ANY material from Krypton, besides the poisonous Kryptonite, was invulnerable to damage.
In some of the newer stories, that might have changes as I've seen his costume ripped up a few times in some stories.
Added the gate and Bilbo's pipe to the Bag End DD.
Add the smoke behind the rocket to the Supergirl DD
All 3 finished and uploaded to the megasite.
 great work in the 3
Love aal of them. I enjoy these every time you show them. Huzzah!
The Superman Rocket from the Diorama is now on the megasite as a separate object in the Marvel/DC folder.
A new Diorama for the Yogi Bear show. Cranlox had done an excellent Ranger Smith and a Cindy Bear head.
I added a Yogi Bear and Boo Boo using the body from the Wii "Yogi Bear" game and some heads from stls from Reddadsteve on the thingiverse site. Cindy also uses the Yogi body as well.
Last main item is a modified park sign from FF.
Of all things, I couldn't find a good soda bottle to match the picture.
Yogi, Boo Boo, and Cindy posted as separate meshes in the "Classic Cartoons" folder.

Meet George Jetson!
Spent the day bringing in a stl of the Jetson's car into Blender, decimating the high poly count to something usable for FF, breaking it into pieces for skinning, adding in the Jetson characters, posing them to fit the car, and setting up the graphics for the diorama.
There's a few different versions of the car out there with different paint jobs, but I went with the one from the opening credits of the original show.
I think it came out very well and the only thing I think I want to change is to make Jane's hair color a bit more orange.
I still have to rig and set up Rosie and Astro, as well as any additional characters still to do. I have in mind at least one additional Jetson Diorama, if not two, depending on character resources.
Not ready for download yet, but almost.

great work ! i really need this action figures! :D
I was immediately singing the theme song in my head. Love it!
The second Jetson Diorama is done. The first was the opening of the show, and the second from the close.
It took a long time to process it out to a nif due to high poly count of the total characters in the scene - mainly Rosie, who was a hefty 60k alone.
Corrected Jane's hair to the more orange color in the main nif, as well as the two dioramas.
Created the pneumatic tube and Astro's collar from some primitive cylinders.
Adjusted the height of the backdrop down as it was stretching it to appear larger than it should be.
George's chair is from my import Star Trek TOS map, the slippers are enlarged/ recolored from Judy's feet, and the pipe is from the models resource.
I'd like to do one more for the Jetsons in George's office - but I would like to have Mr Spacely and Uniblab, which I have stls of, and Mr Cogswell and Henry, which I don't have.
Uploading the dioramas and a pack of 7 Jetson characters to the Diorama and the classic cartoons folders.
I also found a bottle a should be able to use for Yogi, as well as a sandwich to get the Diorama closer to the picture.

Thank you, and no rush.
I have plenty to keep me busy - a lot thanks to you.
Update
Updated the Yogi Bear and Jetsons Home Dioramas
1) Yogi - added a soda bottle and a burger to the scene to make it closer to the picture
2) Jetsons Home - rotated Astro to face George more and moved him back a bit, removed Elroy's cap, closed George's eyes, added some blue "socks" to his feet and put his shoes behind his chair.

Working on a few "cityscape" dioramas. similar to the Thor one above.
I'm almost finished with the first one, and while the idea stood out when I thought about it, the end result doesn't look as cool as I had hoped it would. It's almost complete and shouldn't take much to finish.
From Spider-Man #130 - the Spider-mobile! Spider-Man testing out his new wheels after Johnny Storm finished building it for him. I don't think the scene with him driving on the wall with the Torch following actually exists, but I liked the idea.
The car and Spidey is from SA's great Spider-mobile work, though I removed a lot of the extra characters that weren't being used here, and swapped out Spidey's head skin with one from Tommyboy.
The Human Torch is a skin I had on Beyonder's Human Torch mesh, though I don't have any info on who did it.
The only new mesh/skin on the diorama is a small flame from the models resource I added to the Torch at his feet to make him look better.
The second of the two scene pics is at maximum zoom in the character viewer though.
I have a few ideas for some other cityscape scenes so I'll see how they turn out after this one.

Second Cityscape DD.
Blue Falcon, Dynomutt, and now - the Falconcar!
This is the base design from Thor with everything but the buildings removed.
Blue Falcon - Vorelliwiseau, FF modder
Dynomutt - Base mesh was a Scooby Doo from the Gamecube "Scooby Doo Unmasked" game. Costume imported from an stl by 4artes3d. Stl skins and put together for FF by randomdays.
Falconcar from an stl by Tchepop. Skinned and imported by randomdays.
Added some engine flames from a mesh on the models import site.
I'll be releasing the DD and a separate falconcar
The max zoom in the character viewer is a bit low to see the details. The last two pics are of the car and characters as a separete nif.

Lovely work
Great work! :)
LOL! The Torch mentioned Bangor, Maine way back when? I had no idea.
I live in rural Maine, but I lived in Portland for a few years (Maine's biggest city, but it's nothing compared to Boston or New York City).
Was the joke supposed to be as if Bangor is out in the sticks/the country? Bangor is small Maine city, js.
RD, You're dioramas are so neat!
Dana
Thanks guys
I was born just in time to be the right age for the first wave of Saturday morning cartoons and the classic HB superheroes like Space Ghost and the Herculoids, as well as prime time shows like Gilligan and Adam West's Batman.
When I started reading comics in my preteen years, I hit the the beginning of the Bronze age.
Those shows and comics, the artists and stories of those times, are the ones I have good memories and attachment to, even if I like content from other ages as well.
Uploaded the Spider-mobile and the Dynomutt Dioramas to their folders.
Another Cityscape - the first of a possible group for Batman
I used the cover of the hardback collection "Batman from the 30's to the 70's" (Which I have and got way back in the 70's!)
I wanted to add a little something more so I put the Batcopter from the 60's Batman show behind them
Standard problem of not being able to zoom enough in the viewer. Making the mesh bigger just caused more problems.
Batman - standard skin from Batman SA YL. Skin by Atomic Robot
Robin - Robin Classic Kx - Skin by Skindex and Kenn X
Batcopter - Made by Floyd Lewis for Sketchfab and converted to Freedom Force.

These are all fantastic. You really take me back to Saturday Morning. A bowl of cereal and the best part of the weekend.
watching my favorite shows and eating Captain Crunch. Good times.
Thanks WyldeFyre. Same here, which is one reason I'm doing them
Of course, a lot of credit goes to the original modelers and skinners. Having the characters are great and having them run around in game gives that feeling as well, but putting them in a classic scene adds to it.
Trying to get the meshes posed to match what's in a known scene or what's in my head is fun. Robin above is a good match, but getting Batman's cape wrapped aroun his arm is beyond me.
Theme sung by Ted Cassidy, the original Lurch on the 60's "Addams Family Show"
That tiny ant and his atomic powers
has what it takes and always makes the vilest villain cower.
Atom Ant!
Part of the Atom Ant/ Secret Squirrel show from Hanna Barbera in 1965, with a total of six different cartoons. In 1966, he was split off into his own show with the Hillbilly Bears and Precious Pupp, while Secret Squirrel got the other two.
A good childhood memory, as Wyldfyre said, with a bowl of cereal in front of me.
Mesh is an stl by Peter Ferrell on printables.com, but was brought into Sketchfab and skinned by justsantiego.
Rigged to male_dwarf, but the pose made it a bit wonky, especially around the arms, so some tweaking had to be done.
Mailbox and flowers from the models resource. Tree from Freedom Force. Mushroom and anthill from sketchfab
This one is a bit smaller than the others and I was able to zoom in more. I may have to see if that helps with the other DDs

Another Batman scene
I think that the "New Adventures of Batman" that Filmation did in 1977 was the last time they worked with DC. It featured Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Batmite on the good guy side. As an added bonus, it featured Adam West and Burt Ward doing the voice of Batman and Robin
Changed my standard city scene by pulling the buildings back and adding a street to the front
Batman and Robin in the Batmobile is my previous import from years ago
Batgirl on her moterbike by Tommyboy
Batmite is by SCD. I shrunk him down on height only, which widened him a bit in comparison. Still not a great match compared to how he appears in the show.
Standard problem of zooming in with the viewer

Hey Abbott!
Abbott and Costello movies were always fun to watch growing up, and one of the best was "Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein"
I'd line to do a couple of simpler AC DDs in the future - "AC Who's on First?" and "AC Meet the Mummy"
For now, here's "AC meet Frankenstein"
Lake shore scene and rowboat from Sketchfab
Trees and log from the "Empire Earth 2" game
Abbott - an stl head put on male_suit.
Head skinned by Randomdays
male_suit skin is Jimmy Olsen Crime King by Atomic Robot
Costello - body, tie and head are an stl skinned by Randomdays
arms and legs are from Cranlox's Wimpy from Popeye.
Frankenstein's Monster - Mesh by BIL, skinned by Atomic Robot
Dracula - male_suit with a skin by Atomic Robot. Cape from Texas Jack's Dracula
Wolfman - male_basic with a skin by cmdrkoenig (Dana)
I had really wanted to add the "Creature from the Black Lagoon" in the water near the rowboat, since AC met him as well, but the mesh is Tommyboy based with tons of hidden items. It was really hard to work with and crashed Blender a few tinmes.

Definitely the most magnificent of the dioramas!
Three quick dioramas set in space. None are new, but the characters looks so much better as a diorama than just the white background of the character viewer.
Standard problems with zoom, and the first two were so large they weren't showing up in the viewer till I cut the size by 50%
1) Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space, flying through space in their ship. Only thing I'm missing is Bleep and Sebastion, the two mascots
2) Space Ghost, Jan, Jace, and Blip in the Phantom Cruiser. Jace looks white in the FF viewer because he has dds textures that FF can't use.
3) Space Ghost, Jan, Jace, and Blip flying through Space. Jace looks normal here since its the FFvt3R viewer
I thought Dean had helped recolor Jan's blue to match Jace's on the uniform. If so, I'm not sure where that skin is.
All uploaded the Dioramas directory.

Always Amazing! Keep up the nostalgia!
Spent most of today working on this. It's amazing how good the meshers and skinners we've had over the years have been. It came out pretty close to the original cover.
Standing on the shoulders of giants.
Spider-Man versus his greatest foes, at least in 1975.
This Diorama is based on the Marvel Special Edition Treasury for the Spectacular Spider-Man. I still have my copy but its a bit faded after 50 years.
It has a modified cover of the Sinister Six with the Lizard added in. The book featured the Sinister Six story from Annual #1, the first Lizard story from #6, and a Molten Man story from issue #35
Spider-Man - Spider-Man TVlite from Tommyboy. The skin is from Dark Jared of the Skindex, except for the mask which is still Tommyboy
The Lizard - Lizard TVlite - mesh and skin from Tommyboy
Dr. Octopus - mesh and skin from the Beyonder
Kraven the Hunter - Kraven TV - mesh and skin by Tommyboy

Oh man RD I have some new skopes coming of these guys!!! :D
The ones used are classic and very well done, but waiting to see what you can do! I have high hopes considering your skills.
RD, I love the "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein" diorama! It totally brings back memories of watching it many years ago for the first time and being in absolute monster heaven. Awesome work on these!
Dana
Thanks Dana.
Hopefully these dioramas are bringing some good memories to others as well.
One of my favorite Abbott and Costello movies as well. Your wolfman skin was perfect for it.
Jonny Quest - probably my favorite classic cartoon ever. Besides the great stories and extra detail in the animation for what was a prime-time series, it has one of the best theme songs ever.
Of all the episodes, "Monster in the Monastery" is one of my top five. Steve Rude did an alternate cover for DC's "Future Quest" comic and I used that as my base.
I couldn't get the narrow cliff path in, but everything else came pretty close to the artwork.
Along with the Thor DD, probably one of my favorite dioramas so far.
Jonny and Hadji - Heads were created in the Sims2 CAS with some editing in Blender afterwards. Bodies were done in the Sims3 CAS.
The yetis were done for me by Dean on a male_heavy mesh.
The flashlight, jeep and boulder are from the Models Resource site.
The rope bridge is from the Sketchfab site.
The icy rocks are from the "Zoo Tycoon" game

Popeye meets Sindbad
Fleischer Studios had Popeye in the beginning and they decided to go all out in 1936. Popeye meets Sindbad was twice as long as a standard cartoon, in full color, and highlighted a new scrolling background that they were working on getting copyrighted.
It starts out as the mighty Sindbad (Bluto, of course) singing about how great he is on his island of monsters. Seeing Popeye and crew on a ship, he orders a Roc to sink the ship and bring him Olive back. On reaching the island, Popeye confronts Sindbad and his monsters while Wimpy spends most of th story chasing after a duck with a might grinder, I guess to make duck burgers with.
The story ends with your standard can of spinach saving the day and after the final battle, all the monsters cheer for Popeye.

QuoteI think this is another one that appeared better in my head than it came out in the end.
I don't know, I like it! I might suggest moving the models a bit closer together to more mimic the way they appear in animation, but otherwise Huzzah!!
Cool work, RD! I'm curious about the Jonny Quest bridge... How usable would it be in game situation?
Its a textured mesh. I converted it from its source to an obj file to use in the diorama, but it could be exported out as a nif. The spaces between the boards are actual spaces, not the texture with alpha applied.
To be usable in game, I think all I would have to do is add a form fitting collision box so you could walk on it. You would still have the standard game problem of either walking on it or under it, but not both
Who is the world's greatest superhero?
Is it... Superman? Nope
Is it... Spiderman? Nope
Is it... Sarge? Nope
Is it... Rosemary the telephone operator? Nope
Is it... Penry the mild mannered janitor? Could be!
Hong Kong Phoeey, number one super guy!
Hong Kong Phooey, faster than the human eye!
For a simple diorama, this took a lot more time to do than I though it would, mainly due to making the Phooey Mobile and Spot from stls - lowering the polycount, chopping them up into pieces and skinning them. The Phooey Mobile didn't need to be rigged, and Honk Kong Phooey and Spot were easy to rig.

Oh man! I loved that show as a kid. Number one super guy indeed!
Calvin and Hobbes
Calvin and Hobbes was a newspaper comic strip that ran from 1985 to 1995 - ten years of greatness. Many still call it the greatest comic strip ever written, including me.
Its a bout a little boy, Calvin, and his stuffed tiger, Hobbes. For anyone but Calvin, Hobbes is nothing more than a stuffed animal, but for Calvin, he comes to life and is the best friend any little boy could have.
After so much work and time spent on Hong Kong Phooey, Calvin went very quickly, especially since I had made all the resources back in 2013 for my first Christ Pack.
I went ahead and did three Christmas/ Winter dioramas based on the strip;
1) Calvin and Hobbes napping in front of the fireplace with a Christmas tree on the insed and a cold snowy day on the outside.
2) Calvin and Hobbes in a snowy forest hiding from the deranged mutant killer snow goons
3) Calvin and Hobbes going sledding in their final strip
These are all based on previous work, with thanks going to FF modder vorelliwiseau whom was major help for them back then
I like all three of these and think they came out looking pretty good. Uploaded to the diorama folder

It's so sweet! I love how you presented the story. I've rarely had the chance to hold one of these in my hands, but I did have one until a few years ago; it must still be somewhere at home. Great work! It invites us to reconnect with what's purest. :)

Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse
Early Classic 60's cartoon. I missed this one growing up, but saw some info on the dvd release on Amazon and checked it out.
It was created by Bob Kane, known at the time as the creator of Batman and Robin, and was a parody of them. Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse would drive out of their cat cave in their catmobile and fight evil. Instead of a utility belt, Courageous had a gun that could do anything he needed in any episode.
Not a bad little cartoon, but Minute Mouse's squeaky voice is a bit annoying.
The Catmobile, Courageous, and Minute are all by Cranlox, and thrown together by me.

They look perfect in the diorama! Very good!
Diorama for the Hoppity Hooper Show.
Hoppity Hooper is probably the least well known of the shows done by Jay Ward. While both the "Rocky and Bullwinkle Show" and "George of the Jungle" have official restored releases, and the Cap'n Crunch and Quisp/ Quake commercials are out there, Hoppity is mostly forgotten.
Each Hoppity Hooper story was made with a narrator, and had multiple chapters with cliffhanger endings with funny sayings like Rocky and Bullwinkle. RnB stories could by dozens of episodes long, while Hoppity stories were almost always 4 long. Depending on the format, you either got all 4 episodes in one show, or 2 with old RnB stories like "Peabody and Sherman" or "Dudley DoRight" in the middle.
In the "Ferkle to Hawaii" episode (the only one I remember from being a kid), Hoppity and friends must drive the Ferkle windup car to Hawaii in three days. While driving the car underwater, they're confronted by an angry octopus and a submarine driven from the crooks of RAT (Rotten Assassins and Thugs)
