Title: Stardust the Super Wizard
Post by: Doctor_Fate81 on July 16, 2020, 11:42:26 PM
There is some skin of Stardust the Super Wizard? (note: he wasn't a wizard at all) Golden Age's Public domain character. He makes Superman look like a logical, moderate and realistic character: He had just about every power imaginable.

There are both a skin and a scope of him. I've wanted to do my own to make a set with Phantoma...

Give me a few minutes.

The skin is by Vigilante (and is actually still on his still active site; go check him out if you haven't), and goes on Male Belt. The scope by SCD is for FFv3R.

Thank you DaGlob! I see you too have a love for forgotten golden age characters. I'm a great fan of your work too!

It says his crime detector is vibrating violently which fills me with concern considering how delicate it is.

Stardust is as bizarre a series as you are likely to read, and Hanks' style is as unique as that of Wolverton, Ditko, or any other artist you are bound to see. All the stories are vignettes of grotesque revenge, the like of which was not seen again until the days of EC Comics. I think that Comic Book+ and Digital Comics Museum both have all the issues of Fantastic Comics (#1-#16) and Big 3 (#2) that he appears in. I enjoy them, but realize they are not for everybody. Then, of course, there is Big Red McLain, Space Smith, Whirlwind Carter, Tabu. Jungle Wizard, Tiger Hart, Yank Wilson, Buzz Crandall, and, of course, Fantomah.

I keep trying to come up with Hanks' Venusian (was it Venus?) Leopard Women, who have a gun mounted in the hats on their heads, and ride on big lizards that fly, but haven't yet.

To look at it I would almost swear this is the inspiration for Morrison's current Green Lantern run.

Yes Da Glob, it was Venus. In Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentleman vol VI, the british captain future finally put a end in Stardust, the "american freak entity posing as super-hero". The sense of justice of Stardust is... Alien. A super powered star with high and dubious concerns about the USA. In my idea for a mod that i'm doing, Stardust begins a new team of heroes... using only chars who don't survive post 1940's, all of them made by you, DaGlob, thank you so much - The Owl I, Amazona, Jupiter, Hip Knox, Thor GA, and Master Mystic. But why Stardust, the overpower being, would need a group of heroes - and that ones, above all? Is boring to be overpowered for much time. There is a reason they are not remebered... (mysterious music here)

Bless you, DaGlob, for bringing these out.

Also, Stardust is truly amazing.
