So, apparently IDW is putting out Marvel comics now...which is odd. Interestingly enough, though, they're putting out exactly the kind of books that I wish the Big 2 would do. It's bizarre and interesting.

They're putting out an all-ages line with Spidey, Black Panther, and a very movie influenced Avengers (which I don't love, but you can't have everything). These look really fun, clean, and full of adventure. Anyone reading them?
I haven't read them, but they seem like the modern incarnation of the old Marvel Age and Marvel Adventures lines (with better art in some cases). Kinda neat.
Exactly, and I loved those.
Well IDW is in top form and highly celebrated for having the best take on nostalgia so more power to them. I haven't read any, limit of how many things to buy of course but am interested. IDW is my favorite company right now anyways.
Indeed, SA. They're absolutely my favorite comic company right now and, really, have been for a while.
I'm really hoping that they will get some more nostalgia properties, like Thundercats and the like, and give them the same treatment they've given G.I. JOE and TMNT.
Just sitting on my fingers waiting for that Transformers/Ghostbusters stuff to hit the stands. Mmm, that's gud soop! :)
^ Yep. Ectotron and Starscream's ghost. Writes itself.
Did you see the action figure tie-in?
Yes I did. My reaction is "I'm surprised they didn't do this years ago!"
Hence why it's all about that IDW. Because they are doing it and doing it over and over again. Just a bunch of grown fans like us who wanted to see all the same things happen. And if they go down hell they went out with a bang as far as I'm concerned and that's what really is going to matter. What's the point of being able to swim endlessly if you never reach shore?
