Something that Benton might be the only one to appreciate:
Right now, 6:30pm 4/21/17 one of the main streets in the business district here is shut down because there is an alligator on it.
They show up on The Causeway between Mobile and Baldwin Counties two or three time a month during the warm months (and we sometimes have 12 of those), but it is rare they are found in the city.
He is on Water Street.
Manatees, sharks, Blue Dragon Sea Slugs, now an alligator... gonna be an interesting summer...
LATER:
Hey, WKRG is supposed to post it on their Facebook page.
Ugh...
Gators are hilarious
Haha, yeah, this sounds about right. This was a bright spot while I was taking my exam. Thanks for sharing, DG!
Some poor lost little alligator was blocking traffic on The Causeway. He was dragged off into The Bay.
Yep, once again, an alligator was wandering around on The Causeway. A couple of weeks back, there was one strolling around a neighborhood across The Bay.
Yep, I don't miss having alligators roaming around.
Now there is an alligator in the lake at Municipal Park. This is not the first time, either. A few years back, one was hanging around in the main lake, getting up on the island in the middle of the lake and eating the duck and goose eggs.
When I was at The University of South Alabama, we had one get in a lake on campus... which is, oddly enough, upstream from the lake at Municipal Park...
The local traffic status site reports "Cow on road".
Local traffic reports sheep on road... sheep?
Haha, the animals are taking over with all of us staying home.
Now, I know we have bears swimming around in The Bay, but there was one sighted over in Pensacola wandering around the college this morning...
