Howdy folks! In honor of the :ff: 15 year anniversary, Daglob has organized an awesome content creation challenge. It's just possible that I've got my own small project in the works for that, and on a totally unrelated note, wouldn't it be awesome if we, as a community, realized the Bronze Age glory of the teased but never delivered third Freedom Force game? :D There exists concept art for a number of new characters, as well as several of the original team members. In addition, we've got an amazingly creative community here who could probably come up with all kinds of neat ideas for 70s versions of the FF. To help any interested folks keep track of what has been done and is in the works, I thought I'd create a roster of potential characters.
Of course, folks are absolutely welcome to do more than one version of a given character, but this way people can see at a glance which characters have and haven't been realized yet, as well as just who all is available in the first place!
I've indicated characters who have already been done with their artist in ()70s FF Characters:
- Minute Man
- Mentor
- El Diablo (IG)
- Alchemiss
- Bullet (IG)
- Eve (IG)
- Law
- Order
- Liberty Lad (Cmdrkoenig)
- Man 'O War
- Manbot
- Microwave
- Sea Urchin (JJ)
- The Ant (IG)
- Tombstone
- Green Genie
- The Bard
- Iron Ox
- Blackbird (Cmdrkoenig)
- Supercollider
- Quetzalcoatl
- Pinstripe
- Mr. Mechanical (a different big mech?)
- Deja Vu (Cmdrkoenig)
- Shadow
- Pan
- Nuclear Winter
- Lord Dominion
- Praetor
- Red Oktober
There are also a good number of intriguing characters for which IR released concept art, and it would be awesome to see them get introduced to the game. You can check out all the art here:

I could swear that 70s El Diablo existed, but I can't find him.:EDIT: I thought so! Fixed.
Benton, 70's El Diablo does exist, he was done by IG, like Eve, Bullet and Ant. Just PM your e-mail and I can send him to you.
I knew it! I had him at one point. What the heck happened to him, I wonder! Can anyone send him my way?
Ive been thinking about Primordial for a while, i could probably skope him if anyone would like to skin him.
I might use Tommyboy's robot from Agents of Atlas for a base... gonna have to think more about it.
I'm afraid I may not be able to contribute that much, not being a very talented artist and not having played FF for years, but there is still perhaps one small contribution I can make.
MINUTEMAN: MY SIDEKICK'S A JUNKIE!
All I can say right now is, will see if I can do anything. Best I can do.
I've got an idea for Alchemiss. not sure what I'll be able to do. This gettin' old business is no fun.
I've made a start on Thundercloud, (ive been calling him thunderclap???) its very basic at the minute and needs a lot doing to it, plus im struggling for time but its something :D

Just remember: we can always make the deadline December 31st.
Ha, what a good response already! Remember, as DG said on the main thread, the Challenge's deadline is June, so we've got plenty of time to create stuff.
DM, I'm intrigued! I hope someone will skin him, because I want to see that. :)
Kk, that made my day! Ha! Good heavens, that's one thing FF doesn't need!
DJ, no pressure man, but I certainly hope you can get up and running and put something together, because I'm sure it would be awesome.
DG, ohh, color me interested, and remember, there's no hurry.
Dean, first off, you've been right. Whoops! I just had the images, not the descriptions on hand, so I got the name wrong. I've actually added a post from IG that adds some more details to some of these guys. Secondly, and more importantly, that's awesome! He looks great! Nice job on the symbol on his chest.
I can't wait to see what else the community creates, for this, and for the challenge in general!
Right, DG, we're working on our own timeline here.
I'm looking at Man-Bot's drawing and I know that I've got most of those pieces already worked out in my old Panzermann skope...wouldn't take me too long to reskope that one with some changes and then skin 'er up....just need a working comp and time to do it....will see....
Hey, could folks send me their completed 70s skins/skopes? You can send them to bentongrey @ yahoo.com.
