Hi,
I installed the GoG version of FF a while back since the disk would not work. I then started trying mods. I have completed a couple but have a strange problem with the 2 listed. No objectives are set so I cannot complete a mission. It is strange since at least 3 other mods, (Great Hunt, Pulp Adventures and DC) do have objectives and I have completed the first two again. The PC I had at the time was unable to handle some of the Avengers mod missions when I first played it so I would really like to play it.
Any ideas?
Hmm, that's very odd. The first thing that occurs to me is to make sure that they installed correctly. Go into the mission folders and check to make sure the mission.py is there and intact. Other than that...well, I haven't encountered anything like that. I might suggest playing in compatibility mode if you aren't already.

I am playing in compatibility mode and did reinstall Strangers with the same result. Looking in the Avengers the mission.py is there but how do I tell if it is intact? thanks
Hmm...ohh wait, stupid question, but you are playing these in :ff: and not :ffvstr:, right?
If you've got a python editor, you can open it up and just see if it has code-y looking stuff inside.
I know that FF can be a bit weird on newer Windows. Do you have 10? Which compatibility mode are you using?
I am playing Freedom Force(the first one) in windows 7 with windows xp SP2 compatibility mode. That works better than SP3 as in not locking up my PC. I don't have a python editor or even know what that is but I did download the version from the mod graveyard and the mission.py is the exact same size there.
Hmm. Well, I think we can safely assume it isn't the files themselves then. Windows 7....you might search for issues with GOG and Windows 7. I'm afraid I never tried that configuration, so I can't think of anything else.
If Great Hunt is working in :ff:, then I can't imagine what the issue would be, as all of those mods use regular scripting.
Thanks for trying Benton. I guess I will just have to cheat to end the missions after I beat the villains.
