Gambit's costume was just so different from everybody else at the time, that you couldn't help but think it was the coolest thing ever. Of course, it gets my "Like" as long as it stays in the '90s.
I couldn't justify this getting a love... but I do really like this one. I've seen a bunch of people try to modernize this one, or at least create non-pink variants... but end of the day, they all come back to this design. It defies every possble design trope, but still manages to be it's own unique thing.
It shouldn't work, and yet somehow it does and quite well. Got a "like" from me.
Let's be real. When people think of Gambit, they think of this costume or at the very least a variation of it. Plus I think he popularized the face-sock :P
I'm going with Like.
I think with this costume the context makes it all work. Gambit is a mysterious scoundrel type living in the superhero world of the X-Men, so of course he has a long coat and head sock, but also bright coloured spandex/armour.
Taken on it's own the design probably deserves a dislike but the context helps it work.
