Title: Anime Girls
Post by: abenavides on May 20, 2016, 02:16:49 PM
Any skins and meshes that would be good for characters like the ones shown (Puella Magi Madoka).

My daughter's into them and I thought it would be cool to have them in FF.
I found a sailor_moon and sailor_pluto mesh. I guess I can try skoping them.
Anything else ?

I have two questions.

How old is your daughter, and have you watched any of Puella Magi Madoka Magica yourself? I ask because it's almost too dark and violent for ME, and I'm almost 27. Netflix Daredevil ain't got nothing on Madoka Magica.

Spoiler
For those not aware of the series, the third girl gets her head bitten off, the fourth spirals into depression and literally becomes a monster, and the second literally becomes THE DEVIL because she's so in love with Madoka.

Heh. She's a mature 13. I've watched it too :)
It was definitely a dark anime, but I did enjoy it

Thx for the suggestions. I do have Miku Miku dance already , as Vocaloids are another things she likes (and I'd want to make FF meshes of)

Basically, I just need a good base (is there a female_shortskirt or something like that?). They only vary by hairstyle/hats and weapons, so if I start with a base, I can skope it up.

Ink has a Female Teen Versatile that I have a Shadow Lady started on; can't remember where I stole the skirt from. I need to finish it one of these years...

Yeah, your daughter likes that, my granddaughter likes Monster High...

I think you're missing one (https://images.puella-magi.net/thumb/8/8c/Kyouko_character_art.png/300px-Kyouko_character_art.png?20110205200127)...

Windblown has done a number of teen female skopes with skirts. They're over at Heroforce  (http://heroforce.freedomforceforever.com/podmark.html).
If you were looking for something younger my Layla Miller skin would be in the right direction. SickAlice also has a couple of young girls in his FF section (http://catman.freedomforceforever.com/pages/fant4.html) and the workbench (http://catman.freedomforceforever.com/pages/workbench.html).

As long as you're not too caught up with exact accuracy you can probably recreate the characters using existing FF stuff. Importing models like Detourne_Me is doing would be the easiest route though.

Yep, Kyoko is actually probably her favorite!
Thx for the links! I'll check em out.

I'll actually jump in on this one and prioritize it. Anything for someones kids is important in my book. I've been working with similar models anyways so I have an idea what to do here. Just give me a week or so.

I'm going to tack on another week here. It's coming along nicely but I want to get detailed and make it a definitive "anime girl versatile " piece. As well I have a few doctor things and what not. I'll make it worth the wait though.

Hey Alex, if you make Hero Files for these, I think my Daughter would love to test them out. She's transitioning from Gamer Girl to Anime Girl.

At the risk of asking for too much - can the anime girl versatile also be used to make these?

Vocaloids

I'm still working on them, off school for summer vacation, so sure. In fact ask away. There isn't a too much and anything you think should be in there I'll put in there by the finale. This is turning out to be a fun and educational project for me.

My daughter has 3 of these as Figma figures (all except Mami- the blonde)
They are pretty cool figures.

This is still happening BTW, I'm just putting my heart into it so it's taking a bit. One snag is there aren't any models for this series to specifically draw from so I'm asking if you would mind if I just did a generic anime girl that had similar clothes and such you could in turn skin? Also just a weird sidenote, the name of this series calls out the FBI watchlist? What's up with that?  <_<

And the format is cracked. Get ready for some authentic Puella Magi Madoka stuff. Make sure to go thank aluigi over at the Zenhax forums.

The game format aren't PMD's. Their an MDL but with a specific header for Vita, though in actuality a PSP format. Only Puella Madoka game with a full roster of 3d models I could find even, fortunately they come with weapons so I won't have to make generics in the long run rather can give them somewhat proper animations (archers on archer meshes and such).

Else the peeps over at Xentax already cracked PMD, depending on from which game. Shortly use whichever tool they provide and by the end you either have to use Noesis (almost a given) or in some cases Maxscript to bring it to any other usable format. Really if no one has it and is interested in convertion Noesis is a must have.
