Spyderman seemed to have gotten it to work for Windows 10. Maybe he could help get it to work for you.

Ok, so my typical hero creation and conversion methods work just fine.

That means:
Paint.NET works
The Ghosting Fix Python Script Works
Python 2.7 works (at least for the Ghosting Fix)
EZNifConvert works
EZHero 3.5 works

I'm running Windows 10 as well, but I had everything installed with Windows 8.1, and then I installed Windows 10. Not sure if that makes a difference or not though.

Yeah, everything that I have installed was on Windows 8.1, with the exception of EZHero 3.6, which I installed after the update, and stayed functioning when I converted to Windows 10.

However, I don't see Windows 10 being the sole issue as Alex would've probably caught that before any of us (unless he hasn't updated to Windows 10).

Did you a) run the installation as the administrator, or b) turn off your User Account control before trying to install it?

It is the .net installation. Windows 10 has it but the installer keeps asking for it. :(

Actually would someone be able to zip up the ez folder and send it to me? Thanks.

If no one does by the time I get home tonight, I'll hook you up.

That's weird; I was able to download the .net thing on my Windows 10 machine and install it.  Are you sure you got the right version?

 I'm a dummy. I thought that you said EZHero.  Derp.

Anyways, here you go. Not sure that it will work, though, but it's what I have. ^_^

You're using the link for .NET found on the same page as the EZ NifConvert, right?

EDIT: Fixed the link

4 .net was the only one available when I went to download it. Is there a different version?

I'm sorry AA, even with Administrative Rights on my PC, EZNifConvert still won't let me Zip it up so I can send it to you.

Yeah, I thought that might be the case, AA.  It takes you to that one, but you can find the one that EZConvert lists if you search for it on that site.  I think it's 1.2 or something?  I don't remember, but just use the first two numbers of whatever the error message says.

You can just copy the folder to your desktop and zip it up. That's what I did :P

Btw, I fixed the link in my last post, AA. For some reason, I was still thinking of EZHero, like a doofus.

EZNifConvert can just be extracted to your "Program Files (x86)"

Yes, on Alex's Freedom Fortress, he has a link to Microsoft.NET version 1.1, which is the version you should download.

Here's where the link takes you: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26

I'm having the same issue. I can't get the 1.1 NET framework to install under Windows 10.  It starts, but near completion it rolls back the install and terminates. Tried running it using the compatibility troubleshooter, but no go. Can anyone tell me how to make it work with Win 10?

I'm afraid mine installed without problems, so I don't know.  Have you tried manually setting the compatibility?

Heyo.  This was an issue I ran into last night.

The issue is that .NET 1.1 is incompatible.  You gotta override the issue.

Here's what worked for me:
http://workblog.pilin.name/2013/11/how-to-install-net-framework-11-on.html

Program works perfectly now for me.

Hope that helps!

Thanks blackjacket.  Worked like a charm.  EZNifconvert is back in business.

Someone suggested a simpler way among the comments. Here's the link he gave.

Problem

.NET Framework compatibility

Solution

Please download and unzip the file in the following link:

http://cid-27e6a35d1a492af7.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Blog_Tools/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip

Click yes when prompted to run the .NET Framework Setup Cleanup Utility

From the "Product to Clean Up" drop down menu select .NET Framework 1.1 and click Cleanup Now.

Then download a new version of the .NET Framework from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26
