It's a good sign that movie deals could eventually be made to save Fantastic Four.

As long as they are not in the MCU there is hope.

Another update sadly: Rumor is false.

I'm still hoping that they can make some kind of deal like what Marvel and Sony did with Spidey.
^Actually that wasnt as much a deal,as it was Sony giving up on Spidey.Around that time they made a HUGE deal with Valiant,so they decided to go with their own cinematic universe and tie up other loose ends.
To be clear, my post was about a deal for X-Man tv series, not F4. Folks still hope that if the deal work well it could lead to an eventual deal, but no change on the F4 for now.
X-men stuff will never be in the MCU sadly. They might be in the same universe as the X-Men movies, though.

I wouldn't say never. A few bad X movies and they might sell them back to Marvel. Then they could have mutants be the hot new thing for phase 5!
We had a few bad xmen movies. X3 made money despite being awful. Wolverine origins was mediocre but did kinda horribly because of x3 and early leaks. First class was far better, but hardly earth shaking.
The only real difference is that fantastic four hasn't really had the same level of success to make up for the colossal losses.

Inhumans have pretty much replaced mutants in the MCU. They would no longer fit.
It sounds like Hellfire (based on the Hellfire club) will be set in the X-Men movie universe, while Legion will be more stand alone.
