Title: FF1 mesh editor
Post by: Helix on September 25, 2015, 02:53:00 AM
Believe it or not, I can't find this online. I downloaded a bunch of Tommyboy's meshes because he used to put one in the character file, but no dice. Could someone please send me one?

Do you mean mesh editor or the Character Tool? All of the Mod Tools for FF1 are found here: http://www.freedomfans.com/modforce/index.php

The links for all of the tools are on the bottom half of the page.

The mesh editor just allowed you to turn the hexable parts on and off. It was smaller than the FF Edit  tool. The desktop icon was just a blue "H." Does any of that sound familiar? They only made it for FF1. I realize that you can hex off parts with nifskope, but I don't know how to turn on hidden parts. The mesh editor (or maybe hex editor) was simple. And Modforce doesn't have it anymore.

I remember the one you're talking about. There is one here: http://frp.unlimited2.net/fxforce/public_html/HEXEDMESHES.html
I'm linking the whole page because there is also a link for a tutorial.

In all honesty, Nifskope is much easier to use for hiding/showing parts. It can be found here along with some helpful documentation: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifSkope
Besides looking through an abundance of threads in Hex Editing here on the forums, I believe Cyber Burn has gathered some tutorials on his FF Resources Yahoo site.
