Howdy guys, I've got more issues with my Frankensteined FF2 build on my laptop.
I've got a steam copy of FF2 on Windows 8.1. It seems to run fine in compatibility mode and all that, BUT, apparently it breaks itself each time it runs. Every time I open the game, apparently a bunch of .dll files get corrupted or something, as it gives me multiple errors the next time relating to dlls, and I have to check the local files through Steam. Inevitably, it tells me that 20 game files failed to validate and must be reacquired. Has anyone else encountered something like this? It is hardly unworkable, but it is rather annoying.
You're talking about :ffvstr:, right? Have you tried running it without compatibility mode? When my desktop was running Windows 8.1, I never needed to run it in compatibility mode.
