I heard this rumor the other day, but now that I'm hearing it again, I thought about WHO could she play. I doubt they would put her in a minor role. Some have talked about Boom-Boom, Blink, Tigra or Kate Bishop. But I sincerely doubt that someone with a profile like Beyonce would agree to such a role after publicly stating she wanted to do something Wonder Woman like. But with a Captain Marvel movie on the horizon and with Captain Marvel being featured in Avengers: IW, this would be a role she WOULD take...
Question is, what would the reaction be from fans? Her most notable roles are from Austin Powers and Dreamgirls. I missed APSWSM, but I don't think she was at all bad in Dreamgirls. In regards to her race, I don't think Carol Danver's race was specifically stated to BE white. And Unlike The Fantastic Four's Human Torch, there's no inexpiable and arbitrary mixed race siblings that some are having a problem with.
Frankly, I wouldn't be too upset if she was cast as Captain Marvel. She is attractive. She will make people watch the movie, even if it was just to see her alone. Her star power is unmistakable. Wouldn't be the worse move ever... IMO.

I wonder if she could prove how tough she is, though? In my opinion Rihanna would be a bit better, if they had to go with a pop-star actor, but Beyonce really has the look, and I think she could fill out a fullbody costume like Captain Marvel's better.
I'm thinking this bit of news is some slight character name confusion... I believe they might be thinking of Beyonce becoming Monica Rambeau (aka Photon aka Pulsar) which for a brief period of time in Avengers history was dubbed Captain Marvel. Carol Danvers is the character they are highlighting for the Captain Marvel solo movie and probably getting a brief cameo in Black Panther or another Marvel film as an Air Force pilot before then.
I'm totally down for Beyonce as Monica which not only is a female superhero but a very prominent warrior in many Avengers battles during their history.

I'd watch it, I'm not a huge fan but I definitely do not dislike her and they'd probably make a billion dollars.
I wouldn't be on board, unless Beyonce demonstrates some real acting skill between now and then. Beyonce isn't really an actor, and all of the Marvel main characters have been well-cast in the acting department.
Personally I think the rumour is bogus. The characters mentioned in the rumour (Blink, Boom-Boom, Tigra and Hawkeye) are half controlled by Fox instead of Marvel. It just smacks of something made up for hits on a slow news day.

I think I was the one suggesting Beyonce would be cast as Carol Danvers, not Monica Rambeau. The article mentioned the Fox characters, but I doubt Marvel would sign a star of her calibur to play a secondary role like a Fox character or MR. I'm just saying, I won't be upset if she was being considered for the role.
I lot of people would like to see her as Tigra (me too). She has the look for it and most of acting would be CGI. If they do decide to bring hey in to the MCU, TRAIN HER TO ACT FIRST! Let RDJ take her under his wing and give her some pointers.

Aside from the fact she isn't even in running for the Carol Danvers. Fan Bingbing is contracted for four movies as Blink for that matter so they would hire Beyonce to play...her stunt double? I suppose, the Beyonce/Wonder Woman hack rumor got a lot of views, a wannabe basement journalist may as well try and regurgitate the lie, lol. Not taking the bait myself here otherwise.

We have heard rumors of everything from Blink to Captain Marvel, but lets us think outside the box for a minute. How about if Bey was to play Jocasta? That wouldn't be bad either. She can be Tony's assistance/ bodyguard.
I heard she's playing Galactus in Fantastic Four vs Justice League Dark vs He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe. My washing machine told me this. I like it, yes that's my choice then. I think Beyonce should play Galactus. Lol, one off the cuff innocent comment what was it...seven years ago? I'm not sure what my reaction would be short of I wouldn't care but I bet Beyonce's is :rolleyes:.
