Has anybody done or is interested in doing these versions of the characters?

I think both have been done, but don't quote me. Azreal one could say is actually our Freedom Force community mascot as far as things go, either him or Taskmaster. He's been done a few times and I'm sure someone skinned that version. Hopefully someone else will come along with a link. Moon Knights def been done over and again. I think someone did the NOW version recently, check the first couple pages of the Releases and/or Skins boards. Else I have an interest in doing a NOW version but only as a joint project if someone works with me. I would provide a more form fitting cape and hood, a vehicle for his flying animation as well as costume switch (his dress suit) if anyone else would be willing to put in the rest of the work.
Also and to a couple other peeps that frequent the board it's easier for people like myself if you make one thread, then update the original post with a list of your standing requests. It helps me like a checklist to see who did what as well as prevents the request from getting lost on page three or four somewhere. No offense meant and thanks.

Couldn't find that version of Azrael, only the Jean Paul Valley version (red & batman).
The dress suit version was done but not the armor it looks like. I believe that the armor was in the contest of champions game and marvel heroes if that helps at all.
Yeah I have it onhand. I really wouldn't need to recycle from the game though, I think I would only make use of the hood. I have his jet on hand as well. I'll take a look into sometime this month. I need to look at some other meshes people have done and get a feel for how most people like his animations (tommyboy and dm did these I think).
I wish I could remember exactly sorry, that Azreal was a skin at the old newpowerinc site (or one of it's members). I don't actually recall who did it or what Yahoo group it's buried in. I'm not up for it but maybe someone else would want to do a new one. I'm pretty sure all that would need is to skope Tommy's Azreal a little and do a new texture.
Tommyboy already did that version of Darkhawk. I think he also did something you requested in another thread. His site is here, the navigation is really easy:

Thanks for the help, hopefully someone can point me in the direction of that skin. By chance, do you know if the mesh has dual swords? I don't believe the azrael mesh had those.
Yea that Darkhawk is good, I'd just like to see the wings replaced and faceplate changed a little bit to be more like the picture.
Uncertain. It wouldn't be a task to skope some swords on it though. Likewise I was thinking the same about Darkhawk. Their nice for the 80's version but not the modern. I would skope the wings from INK's Falcon on it instead, make the skin grey and give it a reflection. You can pretty much skope those wings on any male mesh without any problems.

How would someone go about doing this?
You just Copy them in one window in Nifskope then paste them onto the mesh you want them to be on in another, making sure to paste them where they were in the first. So in the case of the Falcon Wings for example they're located on his Scene Root, the first branch in any nif in the game. So you would " Copy Branch " the wings from Falcon then " Paste Branch " on the Scene Root of the mesh you wanted them to end up on. For swords 99% of the time they're going to be on the Hand (L and R) nodes. I could approach this later if you gave me time. I'm just working on to many other things right now, your Moon Knight request at the moment actually.

I ran into some trouble with NIF versions not being compatible. Any way around that?
SOMETIMES you can re-convert a mesh and the problem is fixed. I'm assuming that you are working with converted meshes. I find that some of the FFv3R meshes I converted years and years ago are not compatible with more recent conversions.
Nif conversion on the one that isn't. I use EZNifConverter here and have never had an issue with it.
So I re-downloaded both meshes and was able to copy the wings onto the darkhawk mesh. The issue now is that mesh won't convert for :ffvstr: so I can't see it in the character tool.
You have to convert the clean meshes first, then copy the pieces over. Half the time if you try and convert a mesh you already skoped it'll crash.
It seems the actual darkhawk_tv mesh won't convert for some reason. An error keeps popping up when running it through the converter. That must be why it didn't work.
Could anyone else try their luck and convert it for me?

I'll try to see what I can do :)
I converted one today and slapped the wings on it as well as brightened the values. I can send it if you want or if willing to wait a bit I can just complete a War Of Kings style one for you. I'm noting what you said about the helmet and don't think it would take me much to sculpt one. Also the look should have a left arm guantlet, a different shaped belt and a chest jewel. Added the wings look bad on that mesh as they fall through the legs during flight as well War Of Kings Darkhawk had different moves. He was more of a Transformer who relied heavily on forming cannon type arm weapons instead of the old fashioned claws. I think just putting it on a different mesh all together is in order. It's up to you since it's your request, let me know. If I make the custom one it will be about a week tops since I'm pretty sick right now.

The custom one sounds great. I'd definitely be willing to wait for that. Thanks!

Thanks for the help spydermann93!
Well, Darkhawk is all converted* and ready for packaging! Where would you like him sent? :)
*NOTE: I have not modified the mesh in any way other than simply converting it.

Check your PM.
Any advice on Azrael? I would need a two sword mesh I believe. Or could I port the keyframes and swords over to another mesh?
Moon Knight is coming along well. I made all of the mesh parts and additionally made extra so he can have costume switches (parts for NOW!, Ultimates, Classic and Fist Of Khonshu). I also brought the Batarangs back to the work and replaced them crescent darts (these will alternate for other skins as well). Just have to place them which should be done today, then make textures and clean up the keyframes a little.
With Azreal if you want to experiment the original mesh already has sword melee animations. I'm not sure how the values are directed but the string names for the blades that are on it now are "left_blade01" and "right_blade". So what you want to do is remove those two things from the nif. Then paste on the swords and rename them to those names accordingly. Also if you don't want the flames hide the nodes named PArray01 and PArray02 or just set the alpha channel on male_basic_fire.tga to solid black (color index is all zeros) and save it. The only drawback here is the swords will appear out of nowhere and the blades will be gone. Else you would need or have someone do this for you is make a new keyframe set. There's a great tutorial on how to do this by windblown on the Workbench page of my site if need be.

Awesome.
I'll play around with Azrael and see what I can do.

Oh wow, that is awesome. Thanks for all the hard work!
Wow! You knockd it out of the park here SA! I love that hood! And Khonshu is definitely a welcome surprise.
I'd love to be able to collaborate with you in the future.
Thanks. You were the backbone of it though. No way it would have gotten that close without your contribution. I just built on that and dressed up your work. And I'm always open for collab ideas. Having done a few now I'm always more pleased with the end results and have more fun doing them then when I fly solo. Speaking of enough chit chat, gotta get on that other one we were talking about before lightning strikes me.
Is there a dual sword mesh with a cape node?
I put a cape on the deadpool mesh for the dual swords but the cape became static and the hood had issues fitting.
Also, where can I find greaves and a belt like this? - http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Michael_Lane_%28New_Earth%29/Gallery?file=Azrael_Michael_Lane_0004.jpg (http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Michael_Lane_%28New_Earth%29/Gallery?file=Azrael_Michael_Lane_0004.jpg)
Not to come on smug but for the parts me, or close enough to work with. For the belt check my Hobgoblin. The buckle is too big for that but it's a separate piece so you or whoever you have helping you this could shrink it at the handle. I make those stacked cylinder gloves a lot part because they're so common and part because I like make shiny parts on meshes (I'm not full on stepping on bubble wrap here but I have my airhead moments as much as the next person). Look around there's a few to choose from especially on the various Lanterns. The ones on the basic Lanterns at the bottom of the page are particular cumbersome as I set up all the parts on those for easy customization. Then you could take the arm spikes off any Batman out there, stick them on Az's arms and move them outside where they need to be. Sorry again BTW for not jumping on this myself. I feel a little guilty about that but I'm just way to swamped here, my Storm being the foremost and something I wanted to complete ever since I started modding for the 1st game. That and catching up Homestuck of course, you know how it is.
I don't know for the dual swords. You can put a cape biped on any mesh though. Almost always you copy it at the " cape_top " node. Always try and figure out what node it's attached to on the original mesh and copy it to the same on the new one as that varies (usually Spine01 or Neck) and you'll end up with ugly results if you put it in the wrong place. But even if the keyframes don't account for the cape it still will move around regardless as it's now attached to the skeleton. Not as pretty and flowing as with keyframes but not static either. Capes are actually friendly like that I've found. Someone else probably knows more about the dual sword action. The ones that come to mind off hand being that Deadpool mesh and the Shatterstar one are really constricted unfortunately and do not play well with other mesh parts and keys. I'll make a note to try and cobble up a basic two sword mesh sometime though, or if anyone else wants to take it on that would be splendid. I'd even host it on my Workbench if need be.
Good luck with getting this. Personally I think there will be some hurdles but you can do it.

Yea, I copied the cape_top node over to the deadpool mesh but the animations didn't mesh well with the cape once added. There are not a lot of dual sword meshes and the ones that are only have one or two dual animations anyway. I might just have to switch the flame on the sword during the keyframes to simulate the change.
Is there a sword similar to either of these pictures? The closest I found were the male_hunter ones but they had a more rectangular hilt than circular.
BeardedInLair has done a katana-like sword mesh with circular hilt. It was used in Gengoro's map for FF1 called Castle 2. This is how it looks when skoped onto a char:

Those are perfect!
I skoped the greaves from the sinestro corps basic on the mesh but now the keyframes won't work. What did I do wrong?
3 quick questions:
1.) What Mesh are you using as a starting point?
2.) What all did you remove from that Mesh when you started?
3.) Are both Meshes that you are using for :ffvstr:?
The greaves themselves shouldn't cause any issue since they're string name isn't called up by any keyframes.
I really didn't think that this had anything to do with the greaves either, I'm leading more towards what's already been deleted. Often times (More so than not), if you delete a Belt from a Mesh, you will automatically break it, and the Keyframes will not work.
This was my line of thinking. To date I usually leave every node and at best delete only the Editable meshes, at worst hide them. I actually blew one last night (Scarlet Witch on INK's Marvel Girl). Here I didn't check the keyframes and get presumptuous and deleted a few parts I though couldn't matter. But here my character wouldn't animate and I checked the keyframes and a bunch of those little hair and bang attachments all had assignments. Rule of thumb: Always leave all the nodes in just in case.

Yeah, that's probably what happened. When I get a chance I'll find my last working version and go from there. Thanks
