Title: Cool Geek Songs
Post by: BentonGrey on March 15, 2015, 10:51:58 PM
Howdy guys, I've recently come across some neat songs and music videos, and I thought folks like here would be sure to like them.

The first is a song by Ookla the Mok.  "Supremea Lex," which is a really awesome, quite thoughtful anthem of sorts for Lex Luthor.  It's cool, but it also totally captures the character:

Another from Ookla, this is a fun salute to superheroes, "Super Powers.":

The last from Ookla is an oddly poignant one for me about the mildly disappointing fact that I am unlikely to discover that I'm the long lost heir of Atlantis.  This is "Secret Identity.":

The next is a rather charming tribute to my favorite Flash by Jim's Big Ego.  "The Ballad of Barry Allen":

This one is a cool song with a really nice animated video.  It's "Ring Capacity" by Kirby Krackle, a new favorite of mine for the name alone. ^_^ This is a neat Hal Jordan song, with a surprisingly catchy evolving chorus.  Who knew percentages could be so intereting:

Finally, there is probably my favorite song of the bunch, which comes complete with a really, really nice short film.  I have a sneaking suspicion this has been posted here before, but if not, this is "On and On" by Kirby Krackle:

(Side note, Wednesday's activities, "tearing up the Wrecking Crew," makes for a fairly awesome fight in my Marvel mod. ^_^ )

Well, that's what I've been doing in between grading terrible papers today, the fruits of me wasting some time on YouTube.  What geek rock songs do y'all enjoy?
