Hi I need a tutorial on how to install individual FX on :ffvstr: without FFEDIT on EZFX. Is it possible. When I go through the folders I dont even see a folder for FX. I found the folder for custom characters.
In order to find your FX Folder, you will need to extract the files from your "Art.ff" File. But in order to install individual FX, I don't think that there is a way to do it without FFEdit.
In order for the game to utilize custom content other than meshes and hero files, the .dat files need to be edited. The information located in these files is what is available in the game. The files I am referencing are located in the Data folder (attributes.dat, characters.dat, fx.dat, objects.dat, powers.dat, and sounds.dat). FFEdit is used to view, manipulate, and save these .dat files, so it is necessary if you want to add custom content.
