I have Windows 8 and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650, and I've been playing the GOG version of FFV3R. Prior to just two days ago, everything was working beautifully. Then all of a sudden the game starts to run in low resolution. I tried to change the resolution, and at first it would lead to a black screen before reverting back to low resolution. Now it won't even do that; it'll just fade to black if I change it and prohibit me from exiting FF. Playing in the rumble room does the same thing, so now I have an ugly, completely unplayable game.
I don't know what lead to this change. I did a system restore, but that hasn't helped. Neither has reinstalling, or running as an administrator. The only thing I can think of that I did differently was load up the core game instead of FFx3_Mappack, which I haven't done since installing. Has this happened to anyone before, and can anyone think of anything that may help?
This severe, game-breaking bug fixed itself after I set the thing to windowed mode. Oh FFVT3R and your absurdities :banghead:
