Title: Dream mesh v2.0
Post by: daglob on July 05, 2014, 09:23:05 PM
This was a request list started awhile ago, and I'm giving it a reboot. This is for stuff anyone would like to see, but doesn't really expect everyone to drop what they are doing and make.

First up, let's get this out of the way:

Plastic Woman

There.

Now some others:

Male Muscular Suit (a suited mesh with the proportions of Male Muscular or Male Muscular Tall. We need more thugs.)

Male Heavy(ish) Suit (a suited mesh with heavier proportions than "normal", but not quite as heavy as Male Heavy. Perhaps like Johnny Patches MH meshes. Same as above.)

On second thought, maybe a suited mesh with Male Heavy or Male Hulking proportions wojuld be useful.

Female Slitskirt (Long skirt slitted up one leg. For Venus, The Iron Lady, and Lady Satan [if a cape and gun can be added])

Female Longskirt/Hobble Skirt (maybe superfluous with Female Slitskirt, but I have always hankerd to make a Morticia Addams...)

Female Suit might be interesting...

Generic female child was going to be on this list, but Sick Alice has already done that (and now I need to see if I can use it to finish Wonder Tot).

Others?

Most of what I've wanted either has been done, or could be done through Skoping, however:

Johnny Thunder's "Thunderbolt" from DC Comics' "JSA".

"Firepower". An "Iron Man" foe from the "Armor Wars" storyline.
(http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa49/Cyber_Burn_33/Firepower_005_zps9e64b5e2.jpg) (http://s199.photobucket.com/user/Cyber_Burn_33/media/Firepower_005_zps9e64b5e2.jpg.html)

"Scourge of the Underworld" from Marvel Comics. The original white coat, skull faced version.
(http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa49/Cyber_Burn_33/Scourge_of_the_Underworld_015_zps65f03086.jpg) (http://s199.photobucket.com/user/Cyber_Burn_33/media/Scourge_of_the_Underworld_015_zps65f03086.jpg.html)

"Nimrod". Marvel Comics' time traveling Sentinel. Podmark had a nice Skope for him, but I always hoped he'd get a custom Mesh.
(http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa49/Cyber_Burn_33/Nimrod_040_zps41e0c786.jpg) (http://s199.photobucket.com/user/Cyber_Burn_33/media/Nimrod_040_zps41e0c786.jpg.html)

"Male_Heavy_Archer", this was for an original Character that I wanted to make.

"Pac-Man". Someone needs to go after Yellow Lantern's "Ghost" Mesh.  :P

I think that covers all my wants for things that may need actual Meshes.

EDIT: Post updated to include pics.

CB, on that Johny's Thunderbolt mesh, which iteration of the Thunderbolt do you mean?

Plastic Woman

Did you see the Rubbermaid skope that I previewed in the skoping thread? It's just a skope, but if it suits what you're looking for I can release a generic version of it.

Hey Kenn, I was thinking more along the lines of this version, with the lower half of him being depicted as a lightning bolt.

Modern Trickster
I'd really come to love this guy compared to Jesse James,  anc really want to see him in action in FF.

I thought someone had done a modern Trickster, Tre.  I suppose I imagined that.  That happens occasionally. :P

Ohh man...the last few years have seen most of my mesh dreams come true.  I'm currently in the very wonderful position of having more awesome stuff to tell stories about than I have time to tell them!  I was amazed at the incredible skopes and skins that got created for my erstwhile TMNT project, but I suppose there are a few things that I'd still like to see...

More TMNT characters and vehicles!:  I'd LOVE to see a mesher work their way through my TMNT wishlist! (especially Armaggon, Mondo Gecko, the Future Turtles, and the Mutanimals)
http://freedomreborn.net/forums/index.php?topic=52739.0

Meshes for the major Thundercats villains:  A few of these have been created, but there are still several that I'd love to see be given the mesh treatment.

Updated Transformers keys: This isn't a call for new meshes per se, but while I've wanted to do a Transformers mod for years and years and we have incredible meshes, there isn't enough variety in keys to make for an interesting variety of character builds.

Other than that, there's probably a few DC characters that could use a dedicated mesh, but none of them jump to mind at the moment.  All-in-all, I feel pretty lucky to have all the cool stuff I've already got! :D

My dream mesh is Ghost Rider 2099,  in fact I've been thinking about building him for the past two years...  think i might give it a shot soon!

I just found a picture of the Thunderbolt from an old issue of The Flash that looks like Reddy Killowatt's grandfather with a lightning bolt moustache. This isn't a Dream Mesh (unless it's a nightmare), just a comment.

Windblown, I've seen Mercury, and considered seeing what I could do with her. Actually, one with various heads/hairdos could be used for Inque, Madame Rogue, and some others.

And, of course, the female version of my avatar...

As for getting greedy, THIS is the place to do it!

An updated Medusa would be welcome!

Hawkgirl with Grenadier's Hawkman animations (using the weapons).

Dark Claw and some other Amalgam characters!

Yeah, I have to admit that I would have liked to have seen some of the Amalgam Characters get their own Meshes.

I could have sworn that Renegade was at one time working on a "Super Soldier" Mesh that never got released.

YES!  Very, very yes.  I'd love to update the DCUG's Hawkgirl with the options that would provide!

What an interesting thread...so many things have been created for this game, and I've had so many requests filled over the years...sometimes, I'm amazed at how much stuff there is.

I thought long and hard about this, and I honestly can't say that I have an original thought in my head.

But I'll definitely piggyback on two things mentioned: A Plastic Woman mesh (hopefully with a Madame Rouge skin close on its heels) would be amazing, and while I have absolutely no idea how it could be done, Medusa could possibly use some kind of update -- though, again, I'm not even sure how anyone would go about that.

Medusa has been the most difficult character in the game to simulate, for me.

Ohh, that's true, Medusa could use an update.

After a search (I didn't know the character and I didn't find a lot of images, so I hope I didn't make a mistake) I've tried a quick skope of M. Rouge into my Rubbermaid (which is not the same skope that the Mercury one) and this is what I got:

That is a very cool mesh, Windblown.

I'd like to see Hembeck-style meshes
http://www.proudrobot.com/hembeck/jlahollywood.html

and the Beatles - Sgt Pepper / Yellow Submarine eras.

Grrr! The library's security settings won't let me play the animation. It did let me save it, so I'll take it home and look at it.

How could I have forgotten? Herbie Popnecker-The Fat Fury!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbie_Popnecker
http://www.comicvine.com/herbert-popnecker/4005-38595/
http://www.dialbforblog.com/archives/104/
http://www.toonopedia.com/herbie.htm
http://herbiepopnecker.com/

We would need both the "normal" version (complete with "walking while he's flying" animations) and his Fat Fury incarnation.

Yeah, yeah, I know; a lot of you are going "hunh?", but us fans are going "YES!"

Oh! Wait! Here at Internet Archive they have some of Herbie's comics!

http://archive.org/search.php?query=herbie+fat+fury&sort=publicdate

Ahhh!

If I were to get a blender-made model of some of these characters, would someone like to rig/animate/skin them?
