Title: BATMAN '66: THE COMPLETE SERIES FINALLY RELEASED!
Post by: crimsonquill on July 03, 2014, 02:32:48 AM
Just wanted to make a new topic to discuss and cheer on the official announcement of FOX/Warner Bros. release of.....

BATMAN '66: THE COMPLETE SERIES!!

Yup, ALL 120 Episodes of the Adam West cheesefest show have been remastered from their negatives for HD along with ALL NEW Special Features.. and I'm assuming including the rare to find Batgirl Pilot as well (since most fans request it to death).

Warner Online released this announcement trailer today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTGAXBeYDcM&list=FLpSG_bWswcgQIXqVRtfhwtQ&index=2

It gets released in November 2014 (just time time for the holiday season of course) and there is a panel announced for San Diego Comic Con to announce details of what Special Features will be included and what restoration was done.

Well it's about time.
I watched reruns of this all the time as a kid. I have my doubts I'd enjoy it the same way today but it was fun back then.

Huh. Didn't realize this hadn't happened yet.

No, I'm being serious. I know WB always had issues selling dvds for a Fox TV show, but the whole reason we're getting Gotham in the first place is part of a deal between Fox and WB to allow WB to sell DVDs and merchandise. Hell, we got a flood of figures, utility belts, and other merchandise come out already, and those can take years to get through the pipeline, so I'm legitimately surprised they didn't time the DVDs to coincide with the waves of merchandise.

Let the cheese roll.  I've been wanting to watch those old shows for sometime.  I guess I had better saving up my pennies.
