Question:
What do you think of Mac Gargan's Venom design?
Option 1: 5 - Love it!
Option 2: 4 - Like it
Option 3: 3 - Meh, no strong feelings
Option 4: 2 - Dislike it
Option 5: 1 - Hate it!
Eventually Eddie Brock was dying of cancer (he got better, more on that later) and decided to turn a new leaf and give up the Venom Symbiote. This was sold at auction to a mobster who gave it to his son (who we're skipping because his costume is very similar to this one), but it soon fell into the hands of Mac Gargan - the Scorpion!

Gargan was Vemon for a long time. Serving with the Thunderbolts and later the Dark Avengers as fake Spider-Man. His costume often reverted back to Brock's design though.
I had a lot of trouble finding decent pics of his design.
Gave it a 4, I like it for what it is, a Scorpion version of Venom. Unique enough for me.
If we were just talking about the "Venom" suit in the first pic, I would have given it a very strong 4, maybe a low 5.
But because we're including the "Scorpion" version of the costume, I had to factor that in, so I went with a 3.

Keep in mind the scorpion tail was only used in one story, Beyond.
I gave this a 4, but I really want to like this design more. It's a nice update on the Venom costume and I like how it seems more organic than the original, but it often not draw all that well.
Also I preferred it with the Scorpion tail. I thought that was a nice touch that made him more recognizable as Gargan.

Should've kept it. I thought Gargan as Venom was in itself. His portrayal in Ellis' Thunderbolts run is probably the most memorable Venom incarnation to me now. On top of that, he was just drawn with more detail and much scarier looking.
5 for me.
