So I got a PM from someone wishing to stay anonymous (they'd rather their reputation not color the post) linking me to Kommando's Google plus blog (https://plus.google.com/u/0/+DanDubinsky/posts), where Kommando has made several posts from a hospital bed. I don't know what happened, but he seems to be recovering, and growing a substantial hobo beard.
damn hope he's ok, is there any more info
I've been hospitalized since April 23rd after being taken to Emergency. Since my admission I've been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and I am currently being treated with Prednisone, antibiotics, immune depressants, and possibly Remicade in order to try and force a remission. Before I was admitted, I had a lot of bleeding from my large intestine and over a 6 week period I probably lost two or more litres of blood. Somehow I kept working during most of it and only stopped when management forced me. Suffice to say I had almost no blood pressure when I came in and apparently should have been dead.
Treatment is not so fun. Endless tests, CT scans, cameras in my digestive tract at both ends, and now they have to put a camera in my lungs because X-rays and CT scans showed "shadows" which could be anything.
I mostly update on Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/KrimsonGray
I really hope I get out soon. I missed Calgary Comic Expo which I booked off months ago and I have Otafest coming up in two weeks. How am I supposed to rock my Galaxy Camera and Attack on Titan hoodie stuck in this prison?
Glad you're okay. Hope you get better soon.
Here's to a speedy recovery, Komm!
Glad to hear from you Kommando. We'll keep you in our prayers and hope that you'll be out of there soon!
Sorry to hear about your health problems Kommando. Will pray and hope for a speedy recovery for you too.
I am really sorry that you are having to go through something like this, I hope you are able to heal up enough to go to the Otafest (I have no clue what it is, but it sounds like you are looking forward to it). My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Ouch. I wish you as much serenity as possible during this ordeal and, of course, a speedy recovery.
Thanks for keeping in touch, K.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Komm!
Wow! Really sorry to hear about this, Komm. I'll be sending up a prayer or three on your behalf, that this turning point in your life turns the right way! Here's praying for a quick recovery!
I wish for you to experience a swift recovery, Kommando!
Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon, K.
Best,
Dana
