Title: Any Marvel Puzzle Quest players?
Post by: lugaru on March 24, 2014, 01:10:47 AM
Generally digging it, got in a little early so I was able to get a lot of hero points and stuff when they where nice about giving 'em out. Also I was wondering if anyone wanted to join my 'alliance', currently it is just me and my GF who plays quite a bit, but having a few of you guys would improve my prizes and your own prizes.

I tried it.  I found it to be an exploitive, money-grubbing, pay to win mess and won't go anywhere near it ever again.

Yeah, like I would never play it as a sitdown game (on steam for example) because it would be like "ok, now give us cash" after my first 20 minutes.

But a couple of games on my way to work and a couple on my way home (thanks MBTA!) means I've gotten a lot out of it without dropping money.

I guess where they rip you off is that heroes need to heal, meaning they might try to make you pay for more hero slots, or (even worse) medic packs. I've avoided that by being really busy all day at work.     ;)

It's standard enough for ipads and such, and the PC conversion is what I've played.  Unlike most games, where they charge more for the game, but remove the p2w restrictions, the Steam version keeps all the annoying restrictions on so that it's impossible to do much with it.  So yeah, maybe it's okay in its original form, but not for PCs definitely.
