What the title says. Hopefully it recovers the magic of the first season and doesn't just go all over the place like the later seasons. Kring will be heading it up again.
I saw this last night and I am cautious optimistic. When it was at its best Heroes was entertaining. I think in the mini series format there's decent chance for a stronger series.
Now I wonder if any of the old cast will return. Personally I hope they go with a largely new cast with only a couple characters returning in logical roles.
Awesome news! Can't wait to see it.

From what I understand, Kring said we might see a couple of familiar faces, which would seem to indicate a mostly new cast with only a few returning. I agree, this would probably be best. If they start over, with a new story in the same universe, tell it start to finish, and end with the last episode (and its' like 13 episodes, which is as long as a cable season, so plenty of time for storytelling) it could be good again.
I'd rather see Alpha's get a proper finish....but I may give this mini a try.
I would sit the writers down and make them binge watch Misfits... a great example of characters and stories first, powers second.
I'm hesitant with this because of how drastically the quality of the series declined, but I'd be willing to at least give a few episodes a shot.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the format in which the series will be aired (Regular TV, Netflix, Etc.)?

Sounds like regular TV.
Yup, NBC basically saw how well the 24 revival miniseries did and wanted to try something similar. Don't forget that Heroes beat 24 in rating during it first season, so it isn't as silly as reaction as it may first appear.
I kind of hope they go the route of "all new story, all new characters" ... probably won't happen, but I'm really over the ongoing adventures of Sylar and co.
Meh. Not jazzed for this. I'll probably check out at least the first episode out of curiosity. Hopefully they can recapture the magic but after season 3...
