Title: How To disable Vsync?
Post by: Innolis on October 09, 2013, 04:16:49 PM
Hey everyone, sorry to bother!

I've been looking for a while, but I've been completely unable to find how to turn vsync off in FFvsTR. The mouse smoothing coupled with vsync is making this game nigh unplayable.

I figured an experimented modding community would be the best place to ask for this.

I'm playing gog's version right now with no mods or anything of the sort installed.

Thanks a lot in advance to anyone who repplies!

Welcome to the boards Innolis, unfortunately, I have never heard of "vsync", but hopefully one of the other members can help you out.

Are you by any chance using an Nvidia graphics card?

Hey!, thanks for the repply.

By Vsync I mean vertical sync, its a graphic setting available on most games: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_synchronization#Vertical_synchronization

FFvTR however has no option to disable it (its on by default). Screen tearing is non-existant, but the cursor moves like its been smeared in butter, you have 0 precision with it and makes the game a pain in the arse to play.

Yes, yes I am (GTX 680 if it matters), and I have tried to create a profile for FFvTR with vsync forced off (though I have it forced off in my default settings).
