Title: Shocker Meshes!
Post by: Jimaras8 on October 05, 2013, 09:54:25 AM
I have male_muscular_gauntlets and i am wondering what other shocker meshes are outh there? Preferably one with various animations but any mesh will do.

Has anyone of you heard about a spider man voice pack. If it still exists i would like to get my hand on it.

And a last one. I have Jester's Bullseye but the mesh causes both my EZNifConvert and my game to crash when i select it. What's going on?

I've got a male_muscular_tall skin by C6 for Shocker current,  a male_basic_effects Shocker classic also by C6, and a male_belt with no readme. These would probably work with other meshes as well, of course.

Not sure if any of the meshes will work with them, but vx_spaceghost has a lot of animations of Space Ghost using his powerbands that would work well with Shocker.

Death's Jester's Bulls Eye skope was made for  :ffvstr:, it does not need to go through EZNifConvert to work with  :ffvstr:. Actually, running the skope through EZNifConvert will break the skope. Delete it and re-install it and it should work fine.

I wanted to try this out since you put he idea in my head. I started with the "VX_Space_Ghost" mesh, removed everything, and added the "VX_Male_Noface" to it. I used C6's "Shocker_Classic" for the "Male_Basic_Effects" mesh and just renamed the "Male_Basic" files to "Male", and now I have a pretty solid Shocker with animations that use the gauntlets. Thanks for the suggestion Random.

Glad it worked. I've done that with a few other mesh combos and have gotten some good results.

Thx RandomDays. CB if you are satisfied with your little experiment could you send it my way. I am trying to collect as many shocker meshes as possible.

Not a problem, you've got mail. And just a heads up, it's for  :ffvstr: only.

NOTE: Just for the record, I did NOT alter C6's Shocker skin in any way, shape or form for this skope. All I did was rename it from "Male_Basic" to "Male", otherwise I would not have included the skin when I e-mailed the skope.

EDIT: Because of the respect that I have for our content creators, if C6 lets me know, either privately or publicly, that he is not alright with this, then I will replace his skin with a wiremap prior to sending this skope out to anyone else who may ask for it. It is not my intention to upset or offend our content creators in any way. Thank you.

Totally respected CB and i agree 100%. Although i dont think that C6 will have a problem about this, if by any chance his wish his work intact i will personally delete the mesh you sent me.

I would imagine that no toes are being stepped on here. You didn't alter the art files, merely the name, and the skope/skin combo isn't being released. Of course, I can't speak for C6, but as someone very much like you, Cyber, that errs heavily on the side of caution regarding other people's work; this situation doesn't appear to be inappropriate.

knowing you, i would have figured you would have sent him a pm first. but i agree with hoss, i don't think that you are out of line, and if you do release the skope, i would release it with the wiremap since courtnall6's skin is floating around on the web already.

Yeah, I thought of that after the fact. I should have sent C6 a PM before I used his skin on the skope. What I think I'll do is rename the files that the skope accepts from "Male" to Male_Basic", create a Wiremap as a standard skin, then all anyone would have to do is just drop C6's (Or any other "Male_Basic" based Shocker skin) into the skins folder. That way, the skin files don't even need to be renamed. Maybe later this week when I have more time and am hopefully feeling better.

Lucky for me, I have a Vx_Shocker mesh. Unlucky for you, I don't think I can release it.
Maybe bug Vertex to let it into the wild.

I will definitely contact Vertex on that one as I am extremely jealous.
