Title: Savage Dragon mesh
Post by: billdamn22 on June 13, 2013, 04:57:41 PM
I know there is a Savage Dragon mesh out there that had guns....(I remember C6 previewing a skin for it). Anyone have this?

I know that I have a Savage Dragon mesh floating around somewhere, but I don't know if it has guns or not. However if you just do a body swap with a "Male_Heavy" mesh that has guns (Gren's "Bishop" or "Crossbones" meshes for example), you should be able to get what you need.

Never mind, I jumped the gun again, unless there is a second "Savage_Dragon" mesh floating around, it's not on the approved skoping list. Sorry Billdamn.

There's one at your yahoo group:

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/billdamn22skins/files/Mainstream/

Might not be it, though.

No. That's not it. I don't think it was ever officially released... One of those rare Grenadier/C6 collaborations that didn't make it to the public. (I think)

Supposedly, there is one here: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/zuludeltaffskinz4/files/

Still a work in progress.

It's a real good WIP, CB! The fin should be larger and start on his forehead though. I can upload some pics when I get home tonight. Thanks!

That would be great, thanks.

EDIT: The only thing with enlarging the fin, is that I'm trying not to deform it too much.

I've never looked at Kenn X's Silver Age Despero in Nifscope, but the fin might work.

Post by: Cyber Burn on June 15, 2013, 07:06:10 PM
Thanks Daglob, I just checked it out and the fin is rounded/curved in an almost half-circle shape so I don't think it will work. Of the fin type pieces that I have looked at, this one seems to be the best option so far.

That's alright, my skope's not turning out as well as I would like anyway.  :banghead:  I just can't get the fin to look right.

I was using the fin from Ink's "Tomar_Re" mesh, but it doesn't seem to be an appropriate fit, does anyone have any other suggestions?

Maybe Tommyboy's Despero_tvlite mesh?

Ii was actually looking at that, the length is good but it has a curved shape to it. I may go ahead and try it though, just to see what it looks like.

I must have looked at the wrong mesh the first time, the "Despero_Tvlite" mesh does have a straight fin. I changed the proportions a bit on the fin to get a better fit, but I also saved the unaltered fin as well. This is based on Gren's "Bishop" mesh.

Before I do anything else with this, do you want anything else added to this skope? Belt, pouches, whatever?
Title: Re: Savage Dragon mesh

Hmm... a belt would be appreciated and whatever else you would like to add to help to create him in his uniform.

I'm thinking that maybe I should use AA's awesome Bishop skope as a base, I think it will allow for a little more versatility.

wow that looks great. going by the pic shown the legs are small and the upper body is really buff. is there any way you can do that with theskope? that would be my only suggestion.

That would be awesome! Though I'm not sure that can be attained through skoping. I could be wrong though.

I guess it couldn't hurt to try, worse case scenario, it doesn't work.  ;)

but it would certainly look seriously sweet if it worked

When I finish everything else, I'll try to remember to get back to that, I just don't want to break my skope again (Even though this time I remembered to back it up, it's the principle of the matter).

You should be able to scale the bones of the lower body. Shrinking the thighs will take care of everything below it.  I did it with a Champion (Elder of the Universe) skope I did for myself and it worked out fine. The fact that Savage Dragon is wearing a belt will help to cover the potentially blocky transition from the thighs/pelvis to the lower torso. I know it did for my Champion skope. Cyber, you are welcome to send Savage Dragon my way and I'll be happy to see what I can do, if you'd like.

Thanks Hoss, when I finish the rest of the skope, I think I may take you up on that offer.

This is what I'm looking at right now. I tried making the knife usable, but was unsuccessful. Also, the effects on the pieces that I added are not turned on, every time I try, I keep breaking the skope.  :banghead: I'm not sure why, it's kind of frustrating.

But just for the record, I still intend to attempt to fix the refl and glow features on the skope just because I don't like leaving things unfinished.

Hoss, my friend, you have mail.

If you could take a look at it and let me know what I am doing wrong, I would really appreciate it.  :D

The version I sent you is the same one I sent Bill, it is without the "refl" and "glow" working on the pieces that I added.

Thanks Bill, but you give me far too much credit, all the hard work was done by AA, I just added a few things here and there.

Savage Dragon is now all nice and shiny! Cyber, I sent him back your way. The problem was with the Omni node not being set up properly. I don't know if this was an issue with the original mesh/skope or if things got jumbled while you were trying to make the adjustments.. Billdamn, I went ahead and turned on the effects for all pieces, just in case.

Thank you sooo much Hoss!!!  This was getting me really frustrated because I just could not figure out why the skope kept breaking every time I tried to turn on the effects. Bill, you have mail. The "Skope_Info" file included in the updated skope is updated to give Hoss credit.
