QuoteA reliable Kotaku source has informed us that the PlayStation 4, codenamed Orbis, will be out this November in the United States.
Our source—the same reliable source who back in early 2012 told us the codename for Sony's next console and the codename for Microsoft's next console—tells us that there are two models planned for the new machine, and that pricing won't be announced until later this year, possibly around E3. The current plan, our source says, is to release them at $429 and $529, but that could change.
IGN will be streaming the event, 6pm EST.

Square-Enix is also going to be showing a new Final Fantasy title for the system (that may or may not be the long delayed PS3 game FF Versus 13) at E3 this year, in case anyone on here likes the newer games in the series (I really like them, but I know they get a crazy amount of hate on the internets). There's also The Witcher 3, Diablo 3, and Destiny, the new IP from the original developers of Halo. And the long delayed PS3 game The Last Guardian, the new Metal Gear Solid games they've previously announced, and Star Wars 1313 will almost certainly be on the PS4 (though none of those are confirmed as such).
A few things y'all might be interested in besides the games:
-contrary to nearly a year's worth of rumors and insider reports, Sony claims the PS4 will not block used games. I'm not entirely convinced
-At the moment, the PS4 is said to NOT carry over your PS3 downloadable titles. Sony claims they might be able to fix this using their equivalent of cloud storage.
-Sony claims the PS4 will play ALL previous PS games (PS1-3).
-The controller apparently has both a built in motion sensor/camera thingie and a touchpad.
-The head designer for the system is apparently the guy who created the game Marble Madness, which I find absolutely bizarre.
-Sony has said that PS4 game prices will range from 99 cents to $60 (I assume 60 cents will apply to smaller downloadable titles)
-It may or may not feature RIIIIIIDGE RACER!! And hefty amounts of GIANT ENEMY CRABS whose weak points you attack for MASSIVE DAMAGE!!!! (yes, those are internet memes. I could not resist).
