I know there are many of us on this forum that are parents, but I don't think that is a requirement to feel immense sorrow today.
Hug your young'uns, and let them know they are loved.
If you're the prayin' type, please consider saying one for the children and parents in Conneticut. My thoughts on the shooter are beyond "unchristian" and cannot be expressed on this board.

I am sitting at work now reading about this and it is taking everything inside of me to not bolt out the door, jump in my car and race home to my 4 year old daughter and hug her until my arms fall off. This kind of senseless thing just shakes you to your very core.
Yeah, this is just beyond me. I can't understand, but our prayers are definitely with those families.
It's been a sobering day in Connecticut. A woman I work with has a daughter who teaches at that school and a granddaughter who attends the school. She got word that they are both uninjured. It's a miracle they are ok.
I'm glad to here both I okay. I live in the area as well, and it's a pretty horrible situation to say the least. Latest numbers I just got were 20 kids dead, 8 adults at the school, plus the shooter's mother, one of the teachers, found dead at home. Shocking to say the least.
