Title: Fast Forward
Post by: BentonGrey on August 11, 2012, 02:24:32 PM
Howdy guys.  After reinstalling FF and restoring everything after my system wipe, I find that FF2 is running fast.  It's just at the edge of noticeable, slight enough that I wonder if I'm actually seeing it, but the game seems to be doing everything in fast forward.  The most noticeable area is dialog, which cycles so fast that there isn't time to read it.  I know once upon a time I saw a way to change the speed at which the dialog cycles, if nothing else.  Can anyone remind me where that is?

:EDIT: Yep, the whole game is running fast.  Everything from movement, to powers, to animations is happening faster than it should.

Keep pressing the minus key and it should go back down. :)

Thanks Spyder!  That makes it more playable, but it doesn't seem to alter the speed of the dialog.  It's odd, because at 0.6 the game seems to be playing at around normal speed, so something is obviously off.

Check your graphic card options. It might have acceleration options, which you may need to adjust.

Thanks Prev.  How do I go about doing that?  I've got a Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT, and I've got a control panel for it, but I'm not entirely sure what to do.

Bump!

:EDIT: Nevermind, I downloaded a dual core optimizer, and that seems to have fixed the problem.
