Title: TellTale The Walking Dead Game
Post by: JeyNyce on July 18, 2012, 02:34:16 AM
Has anybody else played this game?  Right now it's on sale if you have steam on your PC.  I believe everywhere else it's $25.  It's a five part point & click game.  I just finish playing the first 2 episodes and this game is awesome.  If you are a fan of the comic, you have to play this.  It is well worth it.

I'm planning to get it once all five parts have been released, though if anyone hears of a PS3 (my platform of choice) sale let me know.
Really looking forward to it.

Did a review of chapter one, will probably update when all 5 are out. I'm halfway through 2 but I've been a little stressed lately and that is not a stress relief game.

Lol indeed it is not. The second episode was so much more intense than the 1st episode. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. TellTale is doing a fantastic job with the IP.

There's was one part of episode 2 that I just had to pause it and talk a walk because it was so intense.  This game is so good.

Like Pod, I'm going to wait til the game is completely out. I get frustrated enough with the comic being a monthly item, a game with months between releases will make me rip my hair out.

I'm glad to hear it's so well received, though. I played the demo of the first game but was surprised to see no one from the comic. Are they in it?

There's definitely some character from the comic in it. I know Glenn and Hershel both appear.

Very cool. I'd enjoy a Michonne cameo as well.

Just a quick heads up for y'all. Episodes 1 and 2 will be available for Playstation Plus subscribers next week at no extra charge. I'm a subscriber to it, so there's a good chance I'll end up playing them in a week or two. When I do I'll post my thoughts on it (though I did play the demo for episode 1 and I thought it was great)

[Edited to add]

So I played 1 and 2 last week. I thoroughly enjoyed them. The game really captures the feel of the series, and you really feel like a member of the group and have to take care of and protect everybody. Ep 2 was probably my favorite.  The plot twists in it were predictable but the atmosphere and tension throughout really sold me on it. I'm looking forward to future episodes; I might pick the newer ones up as soon as they come out rather than wait.
