So Thomas Jane (the actor who played the punisher in the first film) put together a Punisher short film with some friends and uploaded it to YouTube. He has always had a love of the character and was very vocal about how the first film got it wrong, and walked away from the sequel because he thought the screenplay sucked. Its getting lots of good word of mouth.

I was always a big fan of Thomas Jane doing the character, he was just in a really badly written movie that didn't get anything about the character. If this leads to them taking another stab at it (now that marvel has the rights back) and letting him have a shot at doing it justice that could be a great thing (in my mind).
Nice, I always liked Jane as the Punisher. Done right, he could really bring Castle to the big screen.
I don't know how high profile Jane is but I would love a good "Dexter" style punisher show lifting stories from the Ennis Max run.
Short kind of rubbed me the wrong way (never seen The Punisher sit back for so long with people in danger, and the indestructible jack bottle) but shorts don't have two dozen re-writes.
Ive never been crazy about the Punisher in general as a character, but even i knew the other 2 movies didnt do him justice. But THAT is the punisher through and through. well made
