Please voice your concerns on the official forums. Say no to region locks.
From what I understand, they won't be region locked now. Yippee!
I hope there's not going to be a region lock. SOE has received a TON of negative responses to this from players in every game involved.
Good news!!
From Smedley's twitter (https://twitter.com/#!/j_smedley):
QuoteWe've come up with a plan to allow ALL players to play on any servers they want. More details to follow.

Timeline of the SOE/ProSiebenSat.1 deal
Feb. 21st - SOE/ProSiebenSat.1, a deal that would of forced players to move from US & EU servers by region. Outrage on the SOE MMO forums.
Feb. 22nd - "Hey folks - I know it's been a long few days. We fully appreciate the time and effect you've taken to provide your feedback. As we've said before, we ARE listening, and we are in discussions with ProSieben. We will come back to you with information when its becomes available, but will be some time yet. Please keep in mind that this is not an overnight process and no games are transitioning to the ProSieben immediately. Thank you for bearing with us during this planning period."

Feb. 23rd - "Friends,As we approach the weekend, we wanted to share that we are working on a plan to keep our communities together with the ProSieben deal. Again, we thank you for your patience - we'll provide more information as soon as it is available."

Feb. 27th - "SOE and ProSieben worked throughout the weekend to develop a plan that will allow our players to access and play on any server regardless of where they are in the world.
Our community is our top priority and rest assured, all of your concerns have been heard. We continue to work together with ProSieben and appreciate your patience as we work around the clock to work out critical technical details. We will share more information as soon as possible."

Once the transition takes place, DC Universe Online players in the above mentioned European countries will need to have or create a ProSiebenSat.1 Games account in order to play DC Universe Online. European players who want to transfer their existing SOE account and character data will need to link their SOE account with their ProSiebenSat.1 account.
not sure how to read it :/
This sounds like far more trouble for the consumer than it's going to be worth.
